I've read the numerous negative reviews concerning this restaurant and I want to add a current review geared towards both those who manage this place and those thinking about eating from here: I'll start by reminding everyone that this chinese fast food. Not traditional Chinese food. They use food that's mass purchased and produced. The prep is part of a worldwide system. My experiences with Panda Express have been almost the same year after year. Food is a bit too high priced nowadays for the portions and the overall quality. They need to either increase the protein portions or lower their prices some. Success or failure in the xhecken business is a fine line. Just ask Kenny Rogers Roasters or Boston Market (Chicken). If folks in the US stop enjoying the food they're eating, they'll go elsewhere and probably never come back. As fit those who are thinking about eating from here, our order today had some issues: Teriyaki Chicken has too much fat/gristle on it. That's a fact. Chicken rolls were overcooked. Rice was not fresh. Meat (protein) portions were way too small for the priced. I really hate giving this much negative feedback but, the truth is the truth. Panda Express needs to change their business approach soon or things are going to get worse soon I'll be watching for new reviews to see if they value their clients or give more lip service to our reviews. read more

I went to Panda Express in a food court in a mall, and the cashier's behavior wasn't acceptable. When I was paying, I accidentally gave her $40 instead of $20. She took the money, and she also dropped one of the bills onto the floor. I saw it happen and when she gave me my change, I told her that a $20 bill was dropped and she showed me a lot of attitude. I ask her to look on the floor for a quick second and she dismissed me and asked me why I gave her $40 dollars. I told her that it was an accident and to look on the floor. She went to another employee and that employee pointed to the floor and said that the bill was on the floor and that I wasn't lying. The cashier picked up the bill and threw it on the table without meeting my eyes. I told her to have a good day, and even though the food was great, and the place looked amazing, the service was not. Everyone makes mistakes and I would've given a five star review if not for the attitude. read more

Just brought a plate and bigger plate and I got leftover old rice thats been sitting out and scooped from the bottom it tastes like and our chicken was dry. I travel down US-13 a lot so I'd been watching the progress on this restaurant's construction. Finally, I saw a sign saying that it was open so I went in to give them a try. Aside from some differences in the dining area furniture, this location is very much like the Bear location. I see some of the more-experienced Panda Express staff from the Bear location are now at this location, helping it get off the ground. For a new restaurant, I think they're doing pretty well. I noticed some minor slip-ups but I am confident they'll get it sorted out soon. The food is pretty standard for the chain, although for now, this location seems to be giving the brown rice and mixed vegetables the proper amount of cooking time, a deficiency I've noticed at some other Panda Express locations. I find the sweet entree items (e.g. orange chicken, Beijing beef) at this chain to be overly sweet, so I'd recommend the savory items (e.g. mushroom chicken, broccoli beef, kung pao chicken) instead. read more

I went into this place at their Kirkwood hwy location and walked out. So I used door dash for the 13/ 40 split on pulaski/dupont hwy. Nope. The entrees were actually good. The sides were dry af. Chow mein noodles and fried rice were so nauseating. There was no sauce. My entrees were unreasonably small. I was so hungry at the end of my break that I ordered from burger king to make up for my hunger pain. I was just staring at panda Express food like... "Am I so hungry, though?" If someone else didn't pay for my order, I would have waited until I got off to give them their food back. And while I stood in a debate with myself whether or not to touch the food, another coworker told me that all the panda Express restaurants were trash. She didn't even c where I ordered from. She just offered her little comment in passing, stating "is that Panda Express? Yep, all their locations have dry food." I give up on this place as well. read more

Gave this place two chances and both time service and food quality was sub-par. The staff seems so unhappy working let alone having serve customers. My wife and I went to the Panda Express on S. DuPont Highway (I believe it is in the "Frenchtown Plaza") last week and the staff was rude, but we overlooked it. Went back this week (same rude young lady working the counter) and my wife asked if they could make more of the dish she wanted (sign right there saying "ask and we will cook more" and the rude young woman said "No" (not "no, I'm sorry we ran out" or "no we aren't cooking any more of that dish tonight", or something reasonable, just rude and curt "NO!".) Then in the middle of us ordering she turned her back and began taking an order from the drive-thru (um, we were there first and trying to order). About 5 minutes later she finishes with the drive-thru customer and comes back to us. I ask to taste one of the chicken dishes, then before we can place our order she turns her back again and goes to take an order from the drive-thru. We waited another couple of minutes, until I just told the woman "we are leaving to eat somewhere where they are willing to take our order and wait on us" at which point the woman made some nasty remark about asking us if we were ready and we said no (a total lie). We ended up going over to Chipolte where they were friendly and efficient. We will NEVER go back to that Panda Express again! read more

I ordered my food here through Yelp/GrubHub. Two hours and ten minutes later, I get a notice that my food was just picked up. I called the restaurant and she said my food had been sitting ready for pick up for over an hour. She said that Yelp and GrubHub always take forever and to order from their website or Uber Eats. I am very disappointed that I not only have waited for over two hours (still haven't gotten it) but am expecting cold food with melted ice in my drink. What a shameful way to run a company literally made to review and rate services. And I paid a $4.50 fee to use the service? Disgusting! Staff here is always friendly and they usually have all menu items available. Even though it's a chain it's still better quality than any other Chinese take out in DE. At least here if you get chicken you know that's actually what you're eating. Go to spot for teriyaki with some rice. Avoid getting a drink or any apps and you'll def get your money worth, entrees are decent size. read more
