Just left this location. Aly's customer service was great!!! However, Kailey needs to take a course or two on customer service. She seemed irritated and mad that I was using a military discount. She assumed I was paying with a card and not cash, and had to cancel the transaction, even though she didn't ask me beforehand. She was irritated when I handed her the cash, and her coin machine wasn't working. Although it was only 10 cents, after her funky attitude I could care less if it was 2 cents -- I need my change. She was slamming the coin machine, clearly irritated. Even after this, I said thank you when she handed me my change, still being polite, and she didn't say anything. She just walked away and mumbled some BS to Aly, like I don't have eyes and ears and can't see or hear her. I ordered the beef and broccoli and super greens as my side for lunch yesterday. The beef and broccoli were tasty. The super greens consisted of some kale greens but with more hard kale stems that weren't edible. I'm attaching a photo of the stems. read more

I really like Panda Express I accept it for what it is, a solid fast food Chinese restaurant. This one is ok, sometimes they have not so fresh food but the customer service is always on point. When the food is fresh it's great, I will say that you should be prepared to wait if the drive thru is backed up as the priority seems to be to get those customers out first (which for me can be a little nerve racking but I understand). Walking in to get a takeout order, I stopped to read the order board and the bottom sentence said, "be sure to ask for a sample of our entrees." Having been here only once before, I was concerned about the entrees being too spicy for me. I asked to taste the sesame chicken and was told they don't give samples. I explained the order board stated otherwise, but he said the company just changed the policy. I tried to get him to understand you cannot have it posted and it not be true. I never got my sample and they just turned the order board off. I'm frustrated and will probably never go back. False advertising is not the way to run a business. read more

The place is clean, the food is delicious. I'm glad they are here in New Bern, it adds variety for places to eat. When I went yesterday, there were only four people working. One cooking, one cutting veggies, one working the drive through, and one working the front. they were pretty busy both inside the restaurant and the drive through. I get it, you get busy during the evening. But if your a restaurant and yes I have experience isn't he restaurant business well over 5+ years, the client is priority. If your hours say your open to 9pm you better be cooking until 9pm! Not sit there and tell me everything you don't have. If a customer wants a specific item, cook it up. I heard you tell the person I'm front of me you would cook them whatever they wanted but it would take 10 minutes, heck I'm okay waiting 15 minutes. Not customer friendly at all. If you're a walk-in, forget it because they cater to the drive-thru. They'll ignore you until they've served about 10 drive-thru customers, or maybe all of them. On the other hand, you really do need to go inside so you can look at the food, because some selections look like they've been sitting for hours, all dried up. If you say anything or ask questions about it, they're immediately on the defense and almost confrontational. I'd never eat at this particular restaurant again, but my kids really like it. read more

This location is probably one of the best PE locations we have ever visited. Super clean and the staff was very efficient and extremely friendly. We just feel as though Panda Express has cut back significantly on the portion size and the variety has lessened as well. Overall this was a very positive experience as everything was delicious! This use to be our favorite place. The customer service, efficiency, and speed have dramatically changed. We waited 20 minutes. Just to be told it'd be another 10 Minutes. 30 minutes total. Managnent would not offer a credit nor give me her name as she wasn't wearing a badge and didn't give me my reciept.
