The food was pretty good, although one family member complained that the broccoli beef was "kind of bland". The Mongolian beef was pretty good with a good flavor and lots of crisp onions. Not a bad option for Chinese in New Bern. You do have to drive across the bridge. read more

I ordered otw home from work. I ordered shrimp fried rice and crab rangoon. The shrimp fried rice has a good amount of shrimp (I ordered the quart size). The crab rangoons felt like they had a bit too much onion but I didn't really mind that because the sauce that came with it complemented it very well. I would rate them a 4.5 but that option isn't available. I will definitely come back another time I am around this area. read more

I've lived in both SoCal and NorCal, Texas, Virginia, and travelled extensively and this restaurant's cleanliness (99.5), customer service and quality and freshness of food is simply incredible. What an amazing hidden gem New Bern residents have and they don't know it yet! We had both the General Tso and the Boneless Spare Ribs and they were delicious. I will come here way to often. By far the best chinese food around the New Bern area!

We got takeout a few days ago to try it. We have eaten good Chinese food in Boston, New York, and SanFrancisco and China King compares very favorably with all. We started with Hot 'n' Sour Soup. It was totally authentic and just spicey enough. Very good. Next, egg rolls. They were good, too, but I would have liked them mor if they were a little bigger with more inside. For entrees, we had chicken and mushrooms and shrimp and mixed vegetables. Both were very good. Lots of chicken and large shrimp. The vegetables were fresh and well prepared and the sauces were delicious. Recommend you try this local business. read more

The egg rolls were not too bad, but we also got chicken and snow peas and beef lo mien. The snow peas were limp, and the dish had hardly any flavor. The lo mien also had no flavor and the beef seemed mushy. I definitely would not visit again- but it was convienient. read more
