This is by far my favorite Panda Express. It didn't start out that way before, however, everything changed and this is now my favorite location. Three cheers for rebounding! The food is now always consistent but even more so, the staff at this location are always really really friendly and kind. I come in frequently. Ciomara always greets me like I'm an old friend. I love this so much. It makes me feel great as a customer and more a part of their family. It never changes. Happy staff means great management. Panda Express is always a great choice for my toddler since she loves the chow mein and teriyaki chicken. We get a plate and a bowl to feed a family of 3 which some leftovers to take home. Our favorite is the chow mein, veggies, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken and newly returned - eggplant tofu. This location had friendly staff and fresh hot items when I visited. They had clean tables and accessible high chairs. This might not be typical Chinese food but within its own category, delicious. read more

This is the 2nd review I am posting about two seperate establishments. Not so much about the product but about the young people I encountered working at these establshments. From Alex who prepared my order to Kristine who helped me with replacing my drink hours later and another young man who literally jump to help me as soon as, if not before I walked up to the counter. The food was amazing!! So I have been going to this Panda Express for about 3 months now and let me tell you the food quality has drastically changed since my last visit. Everytime I come, the food has gotten way tastier! As a culinary chef myself, I noticed it is indeed the same chefs and I even saw them working thanksgiving! A+ for the workman spirit!! I would love to hire them when I open up my new restaurant in town! Their skill of Asian cuisine has really had me more interested in the Asian culinary. I have referred many workers and they have all confirmed that the new chef in the back has drastically improved the quality of the food. The one star in my review is for the service. 20 minutes left until closing and the guy behind the counter tells me to take a look at what they have because they aren't cooking any more food. However, just 20 seconds before that he tells the lady before he she will have to wait 10 minutes so they can make her some orange chicken. So they could offer to cook her what she wanted but I'm SOL? Guess I'll try another fast Chinese place that actually wants to take care of customers. read more

I really don't like leaving poor ratings - but I placed an online order, was told to be her in 12 a 18 minutes, showed up 30 minutes after placing the order, and waited an additional 40 minutes for my food. The workers were very nice and apologized when I asked them what was going on after waiting about 15 minutes, but this location is poorly run, not adequately staffed, poorly managed, the food is out constantly, there's no awareness of online order management, and zero communication with customers and inconsistent communication with the kitchen. When asked why they didn't turn off their order ahead as they were clearly overwhelmed (I was not the only customer that had waited a long time for food this evening) they said the manager was the only one with access and they weren't here. It sounds like management needs to care a lot more about their workers experience, and the experience of their customers. I have two stars - one for the kindness of the workers and feeling bad at how overwhelmed they are, and one for the quality of the food which was delicious. read more

I absolutely feel for the team here. Some mean reviews on this. I have had absolutely 0 bad experiences at this panda. Team of ladies working here are incredible. I feel welcome every time I walk in, I've been to several panda locations, this is the most proficient team I've seen. Kathy, Vanessa, Ciomara, are just a few of the team members here who make this one of the best Panda Express locations I've ever visited. These guys are hustlin, they are polite, they are inviting. Another update: 11/11/2022. Once again, this Panda Express location demonstrated either lack of management of outright mismanagement. This time, the had available a grand total of ONE eggroll. I was ready to order two. But it was the same old story -- it will take seven minutes. (Does everything on the menu take seven minutes, or is that their standard "line" to make it sound like the wait will be short?) I bought the one eggroll had, and later wished I hadn't, because it turned out to be dry and tasteless -- how knows how long it had been sitting on the serving line. Everything else in the order was fine -- orange chicken, grilled chicken teriyaki, chow mein. But with such a limited menu, there's really no excuse for the serving line to run out of items and not have more already cooking in the kitchen. read more

The N. Cal area Panda Expresses no longer have my favorite healthy dish: black pepper chicken. This particular Panda Express too, while the employees are very nice doing a hard job, frankly has consistently either lukewarm food or one has to wait for their particular entree to be cooked and it is also usually not a very clean environment. The only reason to come here is the refillable Diet Pepsi but since Mini-me insists I slow down on the copious amounts of Diet Soda I drink well, there goes that excuse. There are plenty of hole in the wall Asian joints in Morgan Hill especially considering it's small size of 40,000+ so go to one of them instead. I know that one doesn't go to Panda Express for authentic, great Chinese food but it is usually reasonably good and the prices aren't too bad. The wife and I have been to Panda's all over and the experience you get is pretty much the same. Well we've been to both of the ones here in Morgan Hill and they both kinda suck. Not sure why but the food always seems like it's been sitting too long or something. Tonight we decided to come in because it was 9pm and many of the restaurants in Morgan Hill shut down about that time. I looked at Panda's website and it said that this one was open until 10pm. Great, we've got an hour before they close! Well we walk in the door at 9:06 and about half of the dishes are either empty or look like they've been there WAY too long. The beef dish I was looking to get had about 3 pieces of meat in the tray that looked like beef jerky. I asked the guy at the counter if they were making more and he said the the cook told him that they weren't making any more food. I get it, it's a Saturday night, you're teenagers and you want to go home and party or play video games or something. Also no one likes to waste food. But gimme a break it's about an hour before closing! The kid tells me that they usually shut the kitchen down about 45 minutes before closing. I look at my watch and it is now 9:07pm. I say, "It's not 45 minutes before closing it's only 9:07." He says, "Look I'm just telling you what the cook said." Not only that but look at the picture I took. The beef had obviously been sitting there for at least 20 minutes. So basically they like to shut down about an hour and a half before closing. So I turned around and walked out. I can understand if it was 9:45 or even 9:30. But it was 9:07!!! You don't close for another 53 minutes! Customers should be able to get the food they want and not be forced to eat something that's been sitting on the steam table for half an hour! This is unacceptable. I just moved to morgan hill close to tennant station n ive been here about 4 times. Ive always had SUPER SERVICE. Im currently enjoying my meal w my 4 year old watching Norma serve everyone very happily and treat each customer the same w lots of love. And Veronica at the cashier is helping everyone not to mention getting tons of rings (signifying a donation, which i also donated). I used to work at fast food place for so long. If you like HAIRS in your food, this is the place. Absolutely disgusting. We online ordered and it was ready on time. My meal had a very long hair in it in the first few bites. My mistake was trying to continue! A second long hair. Then a third! A few bites later a fourth hair! I threw the entire dinner away. I called to discuss my concern. No answer. I'm always willing to let a manager make it right and also remedy the situation. This was over the top and was seemingly downright intentional. How else could 4 hairs be in one plate? Came here at about 7:45 on a Friday night. It looked pretty busy, and there was only one employee filling orders, but honestly it wasn't that bad because there were only 2-3 people ahead of my in line. I wasn't extremely happy with the amount of walnuts the server gave on my honey walnut shrimp, and she wouldn't heed my request to throw a few more walnuts on. Also, it seemed like she may have skimped on the chow mein. However, there was definitely a lot of orange chicken, so I'll give them a pass overall. They actually didn't give me a fork in the bag though, and I had to go to the back to get one. The cashier did not explain that omission either. This is sub-standard for Panda Express. The chow mein and orange chicken tasted fine. This was the first time I'd tried the Honey Walnut Shrimp here, and I made it a point to check it out because I always order that dish at Chinese seafood restaurants. The flavor was not overwhelming, but that's kinda expected they don't have the mayo-heavy sauce. Anyway, not sure what they used, the flavoring actually stuck fairly well to the shrimp, which isn't always the case with the restaurant version. Walnuts were pretty sweet and crunchy, but it's hard to screw that up. I'd say ~2.5 stars, but I'll edge to 3 stars because I don't see why people are dissing this place with all the one-star reviews. I got the Orange Chicken mostly for my wife, I don't really care for it that much. We ended up with two Orange Chicken orders and Beef Broccoli...No Mushroom Chicken. It was also mostly cold, the rice was warm but that was it. I had requested napkins, soy sauce and teriyaki sauce, we received none of these. Panda Express is good for what it is, fast food. It wouldn't be fair to try and review Panda Express the same way I would review a fancy sit down restaurant. If Panda Express is trying to be a fancy sit down restaurant then I can review it as such, but I'm pretty sure Panda Express isn't trying to be that. If I review Panda Express and a fancy sit down restaurant with the same criteria, that would be like testing the math ability of a 1st grader and a high schooler with the same test. That first grader (Panda Express) might be top of the class in math, but the 1st grader most likely isn't going to do as well as the high schooler (fancy restaurant). When you go to Panda Express you should expect a 1st grader math ability and nothing more. Keeping that in mind, I'd give this fast food place 4 stars. It gets 4 stars because it had a sign that said "leave a five star review and get a free entree". I wonder if I'm going to get anything for a 4 star review, it's better than their current average. Maybe I'll get a free drink or wonton. If people want to be honest with their reviews, but still want a free entree, maybe you could give them 5 stars and then in the writing section just put "3 stars". And they took forever to ring us up. When I sat down and went to take my first bite first thing I noticed was hair in my food.
