Slow service. Had to repeat my order 4 times for the lady at the counter to get it correct. This was a problem for everyone in line. The process from getting in line to paying was over 30 minutes. The food was cold and sub par. The rice tasted stale and the fire breast chicken didn't have any flavor. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. Stay away from this Panda Express! The food and service is extremely poor. We ordered a family meal online tonight. The Panda Express website said the food would be ready at 5:28. My wife got there at 5:30 and is still waiting for the food at 5:51. This Panda Express has continued to go down hill over the years. Was passing through Los Banos and decided to order off the app. Placed the order and went in to pick it up at the time the App told me it would be ready (10 minutes). When in and met with the cashier who told me it would be right up. After 15 minutes she told me they were waiting for the vegetables. Another 15 minutes goes by and I'm told the vegetables should be right up. Now we are into this simple two bowl order 40 minutes. I told the cashier to refund my money because I couldn't wait any longer. She went and got a manager who told me that she couldn't refund because it was paid with the app. Nobody else was in the restaurant and I could see one of the bowls was sitting on the line. I asked if my order was going to be cold, she told me she would make me a new order. I finally got my order and went to the car to eat it. There were four bowls in the bag and none of them was what I ordered. I decided to cut my losses and just eat it instead of returning to the restaurant and wait even longer for the correct order. I stopped by at 7:00 pm Saturday night, when I knew the place would be busy. But they should have been prepared at that hour 1. No indications that it was take-out only, but it was easy to figure out, even though employees were eating at tables 2. Lots of background noise, difficult to hear employees 3. The big one, though, was no change for a $20 bill, at dinner time! I was told that I would have to "donate" my change, too much background noise to find out to "donate" to what. Then I had to pay an additional $1 so she could give me an even $10 change. So, getting ripped off for 55 cents isn't the end of the world, but it is likely the end of my eating there 4. In the middle of all of this, the manager walked past with an employee, who had her looking out a window into the parking lot. Why didn't the woman at the cash register ask the manager for change? First off, thank you for staying open during these times (two stars). We ordered last night (8-9p) and as usual there were no sauces. Of the five meals ordered, three of them did not have sauce. When I order teriyaki chicken, the expectation is that I get the sauce otherwise I just paid for plain chicken. Generally i like Panda (in Los Banos, CA), but this time not so much. The sauces (teriyaki and sweet and sour ) were really thick. Probably sitting around awhile. Then we had to wait 20 min for string bean chicken. They said 5 min. I was a little upset. If the wait is that long, they need to tell you up front. Right away I new my experience was going to be bad because I asked for kung pao chicken, and they were out. I asked for mushroom chicken, and they were out. Went to Panda tonight, wanted green bean chicken, they were out of green beans - strike one, sat in line for over 20 minutes -strike two, when we finally got up asking why taking so long young lady coped an attitude and stated our order was still not ready. Immediately was told they were out of grilled chicken the male cashier asked if I wanted to wait I said no and picked something else. I went to the window paid my food and THEN was advised that they were out of their staple food, the fried rice. Was asked if i wanted to wait I said no that I told the guy I didn't want to wait so I changed my order. She shut the window and just stood around doing nothing for like a few mins and then came back and said it will only take a few more min I said yeah now that you been standing around I said I will take a refund. One 2 item combo with chow mein, orange chicken and mushroom chicken, chow mien burnt, mushroom chicken tasted fishy for some reason, but can say orange chicken was okay. I am new to LB have been living here for about a year. Have been to Panda couple of times only. I appreciate the drive thru convenience, but will be more careful and make sure I get what I order. One time my order was incomplete... Today I asked the hubby to picked up some food for dinner. One of my entree was supposed to be the angus steak, but instead all I got was caramel onions and steak crumbs. I was very upset. read more
