I always see the Mr. Taco hut on the 152 in Los Banos when I visit my mom in Central Valley. I decided to give it a shot when I was on my way back home one night and I was not disappointed. It's a small hut with two drive thru windows and every time I've passed by, there's always a line. The night I came, I was the second car there which was perfect. They have a really big menu so I suggest checking their menu you out before you go so you know what you want. I ordered the asada tacos, asada quesadilla, and pork tamale. One thing I noticed right away was that they were not stingy with the meat. The asada had really good flavor and the tacos were the best I've had aside from my favorite spot in Pasadena. The quesadilla was amazingly good, but I only ate half to leave room for the pork tamale. I'm glad I did because the tamale didn't last a second. It was packed with so much flavor and the red sauce complimented it really well. There were 3 people working inside and they were super friendly. Once I ordered, they had my food ready within 5 mins. I ate in my car, but they had an area where you can park your car and eat at a patio area next to the hut. Be warned that there are no bathrooms from what I saw, but there's other places around you can most likely go to and use their restrooms. If you're driving on the 152 and passing through Los Banos, I highly recommend Mr. Taco. I will definitely get food here whenever I visit my mom. read more

We regularly come here for fish tacos, but today I had an issue and the girl ignored me at the drive-through for like 10 minutes after which I got frustrated and pulled away and went to the window because she was serving two or three people at the window and another guy that pulled on the other side of the window after me, I walked up and asked her is your drive-through not open and she said no I went over there and you were gone. I just pulled away right now. I sat there for 10 minutes and you were helping the other guy who came after me? I'm very disappointed with that service and I won't be returning. read more

Holy burrito Batman! I was driving home from Fresno back to the Bay Area and stopped somewhere fast. Definitely had to eat this once I got home, but worth the wait! Was in town for work and needed a quick bite. I was first met with great customer service from Ana. Very knowledgeable of the menu and helped me with recommendations. She's a great representation for the restaurant. I will say I was surprised with the quality and quantity. I ordered the fish tacos and pastor loaded fries. Tacos were fire and the tase was there. The fries had the taste as well, but the serving size was incredible. Enough for 2-4 people. When I'm in the area, I'll definitely will be trying more items on the menu, will recommend. read more

I came during the week in the morning to order a chorizo breakfast burrito and I didn't even eat it because it was so damn greasy. I wouldn't even give this to my dog. I came to Mr. Taco with my boy friend as he raved about Mr. Taco so much to the point I couldn't take it any longer and had to stop by on our way back from the Colbie Callait concert. It was about 10pm and I was surprised they were still open. Since I was semi full the boyfriend and I opted for something small. We ended up getting tacos - chicken, chorizo and al pastor. The greedy food eater that I am...I took a bite of each taco that was flavored differently and yummy. I could so imagine what their nachos taste like. The meat was very flavorful and delicious. The staff was friendly and courteous and got our food out to his quick. They had some of the most delicious horchata I have ever tasted in my life! We got a small but next time we are so getting a medium or large as it was gone too quickly. The boyfriend had to go to Santa Monica for work in which he brought back their chicken nachos which were delicious! I was such a happy camper! I am a Mr. Taco fan and wish they had one in Fresno as the food is delicious. If you are passing through Los Banos you definitely have to try out this hidden Gem! You won't be disappointed. Friday 11/18/2022 stopped and bought the shredded chicken quesadilla supreme. Ate half of it on my home to Fresno. Got home and took 3 dumps back to back. Started feeling sick so I went to bed. This was worst than 1 star. I have no idea how it has so many good reviews other than taste buds have been ruined and they don't know better. First wait is LOOONG with little to no knowledge of why. The menu has no mention of price differences between meats so be warned they will charge extra for some and not tell you. No onions on my food apparently meant yes please give me a whole onion. Lady that took my order clearly didn't know the menu or what went on what because the torta I got and was told had no lettuce came with a lot of wilted lettuce.
