We were passing through and decided to stop by Rally's for a snack. Let me tell you, we have been sleeping on this!!! This is so well priced and their Garlic Swiss Cluckers (crispy chicken sandos) are SOLID!! They use a garlic mayo, add crispy onions & top it off with a bakery style bun. And don't even get me started on their fries. They taste like the Popeyes one & I love those!! Outdoor seating only (3tables). Most people were doing drive thru & eating in their car. Finally got the chance to try this spot. I had stopped by on a Sunday while heading back from Merced. I liked that they have two drive thru lanes, it helps with traffic flow. Since we'd been driving for about two hours, we were hoping to sit down and stretch a bit. I asked the gentleman at the drive thru if they had seating and a walk up window, and he said yes, so we parked and walked over. There was no shade at the walk up window, and the sun was blazing, it was 90 degrees that day. The menu had a ton of options, and the prices were pretty reasonable. We had to wait a bit since the same guy was handling both the drive thru and the window. Honestly, it would've been great if he could've paused the drive thru line briefly, considering we were standing in direct sunlight. After ordering, we sat at the tables off to the side, but again, no shade. Thankfully, we had umbrellas, so we used those to block the sun and ate quickly. The food, though, was delicious. The fries and popcorn chicken were especially good. If I had known there wasn't any indoor seating, I probably would've picked a different spot given the heat. Wanted to make sure me and my wife highlighted the above and beyond customer service we received yesterday afternoon at the drive thru. The nice girl let us know our food would a little longer since they were making a fresh batch. No complaints from us since we were in no hurry and id rather wait longer for fresh food than get the bottom of the barrel. She came to our car and let us know she gave us extra fries since we had to wait. We really appreciate that kind of service. Thank you and to my wife for making me try Rally's for the first time. The place is clean and looks like an old school hamburger joint. That's basically what made us wanna eat here. It truly looks like a spot, that you would consider a burgers joint. The only bright spot was the service. Unfortunately, the food was below average and my coworker and I were so disappointed. I don't know if you've ever been to a restaurant to have breakfast and you order the sausage patties. Sometimes, the sausage patties are fresh and other times they are slightly yellow, because they are the frozen , then cooked. That's what the meat on these burgers look like. They did not look like they started as fresh ground beef patties. There was no other customers there,were they frozen patties and thrown on the grill or microwaved. Don't even care. To make matters worse, they were so small and so thin. No wonder it was $9.82 for my meal. As ridiculous as this may sound, I've had bad McDonald's, that was better. This place was quite tasty as I was passing through on my way up to Modesto up highway 165. I had their Big Buford burger which is basically a double cheese burger. It was fresh and good. Their seasoned fries were cooked just right and on the package for the fries it even has a guarantee that if they aren't cooked right they're remake them. For a quick bite to eat it hit the spot. I have never had a bad experience at a Rally's ever! This one is the closest to me and yet I have to drive an hour and a half to get here ! SO WORTH IT!!!!! the food is always HOT and FRESH! That's more than what lost fast food places can offer. The banana milkshake is to dieeeee for! The double drive through is always a helpful plus and I have never encountered and unfriendly employee here. The food is ever inexpensive for a fast food location and it's definitely worth every penny! I have learned that I can still eat my favorite foods but in moderation and not feel guilty. First time ever eating a Rally's burger (bacon cheeseburger) and their fries were just mouth watering. The crispness as well as the seasoning made to be a perfect combo and caught my attention. No refills on drinks - charge. No ranch with your order - charge. Understaffed most of the time. You'll be waiting there long. They won't fill your soda to the top then charge you a whole new drink when you ask for a refill. When we first moved to Los Banos staff was awesome! Food was always good and they didn't charge for this and that. It would be packed but there were so fast and efficient...but now...oh man this place has gone downhill! Not sure if she is still there but there was a really rude female manager - rude! Attitude and super bossy! Her poor employees looked miserable being yelled at in front of customers. I'm not sure who manages this place but they are horrible! We used to come here often - bring our friends and family - now we come here very very rarely! This is a drive-thru and walk-up business. Food is really good because it's cooked fresh. There can be a wait, but it's totally worth it! I recently realized they have an area in back with tables, so I'm trying it next visit. Staff is friendly and great with getting orders to vehicles; while taking other orders. I'm glad Rally's has chicken as well as beef. Keeping it simple and always serving it delicious is a great choice on a very busy street. The checkered flag decor is fun! My grandson, a Senior in High School, applied for a part time job at Rally's in Los Banos California, he was contacted for an interview at 11:30 on a school day, when he showed up for the interview he was told the Manager was on a BREAK and to call the following week. They did again set up an interview during school but he showed up and again were told the same thing. This is not a way to run a business and the Manager should make him / herself available when they set up an interview, This location does not deserve 1 star but I had to put something. read more

When I lived in Florida, I went to Checkers/Rally's about once a week. I knew plenty of of people who went several times a week. It's like Hardee's/Carl's Jr. on a diet, and they have locations about every 5-10 miles. They have smaller items and smaller prices but you get plenty of taste. This is likely the closest location for me. This was only my second visit, even though it's almost directly on the path to Hollister, which is pretty much my only reason for going this way. Service is friendly but slow. It's not completely unexpected but it isn't appreciated. If this had been a Wendy's, McDonald's, or Burger King, I would never return. The food makes a huge difference. I feel the same way about Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits. The further from the headquarters, the worst service seems to be. My buddy got a Big Bufford and I got a Deep Sea Double, both in combo meals. That means that you also get double-cooked fries--cholesterol be damned--and a soda. Like many In-n-Out locations down south, you either eat at one of the outdoor tables, or you use one of the two drive-thru lanes. We sat down and the tables didn't look gross. The food was just fine, even though I forgot to mention getting rid of tartar sauce. The only real problem is that the company wants to pour very little drink over the ice. In Florida, I used to mention "not much ice" but I still got plenty. It may seem better with larger drinks but it isn't. This isn't a great location but they make the food well. read more

The burgers here are great and cheap. They even have hem for $1 sometimes with their daily specials. They have a wide variety of food from buyers desserts, hot dogs, wings and more. I have to get a lot of food for my brother and friends since we were in town and I ordered bunch of the double rally cheeseburgers that were 2 for $4. They were great! They made them fresh! We also tried their funnel cakes, they tasted great but were fried a little too long as they were kinda hard and not soft on the inside. We also tried their loaded fries! Ordered two meals and the boneless wings at this ralllys. Was asked to park and wait for my food, so i did. After 18 minutes waiting with only one other car that went through i went back to the window. I was told they were wrapping up my order. 4 minutes later i asked to just take off whatever was holding up the order as my 2 year old was over it at this point and so was i. They ignored me. I had to yell into the window to just cancel my more order and refund my money which they finally did. I asked what the hold up was and they said the wings take 6 min and the texas toast takes three min. Apparently they do it one piece at a time. Not fast food. Not good service read more

The burgers were ok but not great, special or worth coming back. I ordered the bacon all American burgers it consisted of bacon, bun, meat and cheese with a pickle and drop of ketchup and mustard. The burger was very dry and meat over cooked. I also tried the seasoned fries which just looked like they had seasoning but tasted no different than plain salted fries. The apple pies were ok but to much cinnamon. The ice cream cone was great for a hot day though! Traveling on Xmas day is rarely fun, especially when it's pouring rain and having to deal with idiots who just shouldnt be on the road period. In an effort to take a break and get a breather, I stopped in here to get some food before hitting traffic again. Got a cheeseburger with bbq sauce, fries and a coke. Burger was decent, but I did really like the fries. The girl working the window was surprisingly friendly even though she was working xmas. I asked her if hopefully they were taking care of her because of xmas. it didnt seem to elicit excitement. I know a lot of folks have the jobs to make ends meet no matter how festive the day. We waited for a very long time in this drive thru and then find out the order was all wrong. When we tried to have them correct it, they charged the difference. After taking our card and leaving for several more minutes, they told us we had to pay the rest in cash. We told them to give us it with card, or just refund the whole order since everything else was wrong and we were only getting one of the wrong things fixed, we would rather go somewhere else. They finally then adjusted the order to comp us the one item, instead of just giving us an even exchange. Now all food is cold and we have spent a half hour at least in an overly priced fast food drive thru. It cost them more money in their hourly wage arguing with us than the food cost.
