We've had some disappointing Chipotle experiences...this one takes the cake lol Smallest scoops for each item that I've ever experienced. Carefully measuring the scoops to make sure each was a certain small amount. Scooping like it was coming out of their paycheque lol I politely asked for 2 scoops of corn (because corn is my favorite) and she gave me 2 half scoops of corn. Never have I ever had this lol we were almost laughing because it felt like we were being pranked. The tiny lettuce handful she put on top was hilarious. My husband asked for guac and the employee scooped a small amount of guac then made sure to level it off lol. God forbid she give a guac scoop that's not level or *gasp*...heaping We got it to-go and I wanted to add Tabasco before we left. I lifted the bowl out of the bag and there was a literal stream of liquid coming out of the bowl. So I held it over the garbage and the liquid was streaming out for quite some time. My husband tried it with his bowl and same thing - so much liquid coming out.... Also, the chicken here was over cooked, dry and under seasoned. Sorry, but this was a garbage Chipotle experience. If the owner/management cared at all - they'd see a clear pattern by the high number of terrible reviews and make adjustments & improvements. Never again Los Banos. Never again. read more

If you're passing through Los Banos and have a craving for Chipotle, just keep going down the street to Taco Bell or one of the many other Mexican restaurants in town. I walked in around 7pm, the garbage cans were all overflowing and most of the tables were covered in food and trash. Staff in the kitchen were BLASTING explicit rap music on a personal speaker that everyone in the restaurant could hear (on top of the typical Chipotle music playing), as well as loudly talking to each other with extremely inappropriate language. Out of steak and chicken, the counter serving area was a mess, and the Guac was brown. No forks or napkins out on the drink counter. And the mens restroom was closed. Tastewise, my bowl was fine, typical chipotle flavor. While there's no excuse for the music and language, I could understand the messy lobby if it was packed. I've eaten at a lot of Chipotle restaurants and have to say, this was the best one I've been to. There were 4 of us and we were passing through and stopped for lunch. All 4 of us mentioned that this was the best Chipotle we've ever had. The taste, freshness, seasoning, etc were great. The staff was friendly and did a great job. Brought 30 students to this area of stores and 10 of them went to Chipotle. Fast service, polite staff they didn't miss a beat getting their orders out quickly. Had easy in and out and we were back on the bus in 15 minutes. Clean, polished location during our visit. 5 stars for a Chipotle is hard to find IMO but I gladly give one here. read more

Cheese Quesadilla My grandson loved it. The food is good but yesterday we noticed that there was one girl on drive-thru, one cleaning in back, one counter and 2guys just talking it up. People were waiting to order and neither guy helped with anything. One guy looked like he was training and the other guy was just showing off. He was told they needed more white rice and all he said was " white rice? Okay in a minute". It was very upsetting seeing the girls doing all the work and the boy and younger adult male just talking it up. I travel a lot and we had a pleasure of stopping at this chipotle as I walked in. I noticed how clean this restaurant is that was a plus secondly I was greeted by all employees and they were quite busy. They said we'll be right with you ma'am. I'm a huge fan of employees acknowledging customers. Every employee had a smile on their face while dressed and their temperament was beautiful.. I had a pleasure of meeting the store manager My Mychaela she assisted me with my order . The food was remarkable. It was fresh very well seasoned, and the display of my to go order was impeccable. I'm taking 2 stars off. *The chicken was really SALTY this time. *The mild tomato salsa, was not! It had a lot of jalapeno peppers. But, I seem to come in time after time and the people serving will give me what seems to be half portions of absolutely everything. Wife and daughter walked into this Chipotle. Two workers behind the counter and someone who didn't work there were hanging out. Workers and their friend were yelling nigguh at each other over the counter. Music was so loud wife could barely order. Workers and friend were hyping each other up and making my 14 year old daughter and wife uncomfortable by commenting on my wife's looks. One worker had a poorly kept nose ring that looked infected. Trashcans were overflowing. No napkins in dispensers. Restaurant wasn't wiped down and clean. When they were ringing up, the workers couldn't remember the order even though wife and daughter were only paying customers in restaurant. The friend looked like he was there getting free food. This is the first time we have been charged for a side of chicken for the kids quesadilla kids meal. The people behind the counter never told us of the extra charge when ordering. My son did say they were talking Spanish behind the counter about chicken but never told us anything. We have been to numerous chipotles all over the US and have never had this happen before. We were even at this location a year ago and didn't have this problem. I paid an extra $4 for chicken just because we didn't have it added to the quesadilla but no one told us this when we ordered 3 kids meals. And we always order it this way! My daughter's chicken side wasn't even full. When asked about it there was no apology just straight up this is how it is. They could have at least offered to reimburse for the chicken. I might as well have ordered my kids entire burritos for what I spent on a kids meal! They want you to go blind. Sat in this chipotle to eat my food and the sun was going STRAIGHT into my pale blue orbs. This made it impossible to see anything and I started burning up in a hot sweat. This building is a giant fishbowl and you will sweat to death while in this restaurant. At least the short burrito man wasn't here to make the experience worse than it already was. I was very skeptical about coming especially with the recent reviews but I was greeted with with a great experience. VERY friendly man helped serving me and was even gave me extra meat since they were low on the one I wanted. This may be because I came an hour before closing and they wanted to get rid of what they had. All my helpings of what I asked for were great. Water spilled on the ground, trash cans overflowing, tables dirty and drink stations a complete mess. I was so disgusted at the fact on how the store was, it was unpleasant and dirty and I felt so grossed out just thinking about how dirty these workers were. I felt so uncomfortable and so grossed out with the workers being on their phone and handling food. The bins of food that were displayed looked old and dirty and messy. Ugh, where to even begin. Just always double check your order when ordering through the app. Time and time again they mess up all my orders. I always have to check everything because they often forget to add guacamole or random things that you pay for. The girls that help in the drive thru are sweet, but it just feels like folks are either rushing to make the food or just don't care. The food overall is good, but you really just have to keep an eye on things when they help you. As an example, make sure you get extra chicken if you pay for it, or even lettuce if you order a bowl. Like who doesn't add lettuce to a salad bowl? Lol. Today they gave me a free drink because they messed up an order. I got home and even the lemonade sucked: watered down because it hasn't been replaced at their soda machine. It feels like no one cares here. The only reason I come back every once in a while is when I don't have time. Make sure to order on the app because they will refund your money if you complain, so I can't imagine them lasting long with so many people upset. Avocado pit in the guacamole, that they charge extra for. I'm surprised that in all my years I've never tried Chipotle, especially since I was a culinary instructor for 10 years. For me it's all about word of mouth and the reviews I kept reading were not good, but I finally decided to give it a try and unfortunately the reviews were correct. Even if there wasn't a part of an avocado pit in my guacamole, that you pay extra for, the food was simply unremarkable to say the least. If the food and portion sizes were at least good then one could possibly justify the high prices, but they're not. Small portions, sub par food, and an extreme lack of professionalism in even the simplest things like serving guacamole without parts of the pit. An absolute disappointment that I have zero desire to ever waste my money there again. I would have been better off buying a few tacos at Taco Bell and still have $35.00 dollars left over. Worst Chipotle Experiences Ever The only reason we continue going here is because it is the only one in Los Banos. The workers will NEVER give you the proper amount of scoop for your food in your bowl or burrito ever, you will always have to ask for extra just to get the normal amount. The workers are rude and act like it is a big inconvenience to give you extra. They are more often than not out of at least one thing (usually guac and rice) and more often than not will make you wait to make more food. I can't express enough how undesirable this place is. Every time we go there is usually other customers around us as well that are waiting at a table for them to make more food, visibly upset. I've never been somewhere that is so consistent with how terrible the experience and service is. Some serious change with management is needed here. Despite being one of two parties in the restaurant, it took 35 minutes for them to make two quesadillas. In fact, at about the 30 minute mark, one of the workers decided to make her own quesadilla before ours and sat down to eat at the table across from us. When we finally asked about it, the funniest part was that the manager had to make our food as the other workers continued to stand around talking.
