Panda Express off 635 and belt line area needs to work on the quality of their food. I got there close to 7:50pm on a Sunday night and they didn't have the teriyaki chicken, so I ordered a bowl of orange chicken and a plate of beef and broccoli and peppered chicken with white rice. The 7 pieces of orange chicken was dried and the peppered chicken and beef broccoli were skimpy as well. I spent almost $18 and was still hungry afterwards. I guess since I I got there at almost 8pm they were getting ready to close so they gave me all the dried up chicken they could scrape out of the pan? Needless to say this is an on going issue with my co workers as well with this particular Panda Express. They won't have to worry about getting my money anymore that's for sure... read more

Typical Panda Express - this is fast food American Chinese ... is it even Chinese? LOL. Nice to have another selection during work that offers drive through convenience. Employees have been generally friendly, and because it is new, it has been pretty clean. Note - because this is a new establishment, it has been extremely busy all the time. I would refrain from dining during peak hours if possible. Additionally, in my few times of going here, I noticed you get more food if you stand in line, versus drive through. Don't waste your time with their online ordering service! They tell you it will be ready at a certain time. But when you get there, they just start making it. You think putting your order in and drinks in that it would be ready when you get there. Nope! They handed us empty cups and told us to get our drinks! The lady in the drivethru was rude and kept interrupting me as I place my order. Instead of listening, she cuts me off to ask her question as to what side I want. Man, the employees here size you up and give you portions that they "think" you can eat. I always get rip off because they think I'm this skinny chick who cant finish a full bowl. The interior is modernly fitted with a centered in wall TV and a few more flat screens around. This location also has a tea bar, something that panda is trying to venture into. The food was fresh and tasted normal, which is a good this for Panda Express. The biggest deal was the friendly staff and hot food. Beware on Google maps the location is a little off. Tried this Panda Express for the first time today and I am impressed. Even at 4 in the afternoon, all the food on the line looked fresh and new dishes were coming out of the kitchen on a continuous basis. The selection was fantastic, probably 12 or more entrees to choose from...all available for sampling by a SUPER friendly staff. The servings were ginormous and although I got the three entree platter, i would have been full with the two entree platter. I'm so excited to not only have a Panda Express in Irving, but one that has a boba tea bar as well! Of course, being a Panda fan, I already know the food will be yummy and quick. The only thing keeping me from giving all 5-stars is one particular visit on a Sunday afternoon when they seemed to be out of some pretty basic stuff food-wise. It was after church, and with churches nearby, you've gotta be on your A-game after 12. I came in and watched one girl scrape out the last of the orange chicken. Not a bother, I was there for beef & broccoli. They were out of bowls, and I wasn't hungry enough for a plate. They were also out of white steamed rice. I walked out without getting anything that day. Every other visit has met my expectations, but my policy is, if the doors are open, there is no excuse to be running out of the most popular items on your menu so early in the day. If you're looking for good quality food, freshness, clean, great ambiance, & a wonderful staff... this location is the place to go. Was greeted with a smile and several hellos. Luckily there wasn't a customer behind me, as I took my time and was able to taste a few entrees. They also have a Tea Bar, which you don't usually see. Great new location, complete with a Tea Bar that serves everything from Oolong to bubble tea. Everything here is extremely clean, and the employees are cheerful, helpful, and competent. I really like the new concept showcased in the design of this restaurant. I have however noticed some changes that I don't particularly care for. Most importantly the portion sizes. Panda Express in my mind was always a place you could count on for filling you up, their large white iconic Styrofoam trays would always be loaded to the brim with traditional Chinese-American fare. I do like that they've moved away from styrofoam, but the new trays are substantially smaller than the old ones. This is especially true with regards to the amount of Rice/Chow Mein dished out. I'm sure this was done as a profit increasing measure, but I really liked having a bit of leftovers from my meal there. I do hope they make the trays a bit deeper in the future. Also as another Yelper mentioned, the parking lots is strangely designed and navigating it is a huge pain. Which doesn't make sense as this is a standalone building that could've customized the parking lot anyway it wanted. read more

I am going to say this, this is by far the worst Panda Express from a customer service perspective in the area and continues to go downhill! First off they continue to close/lock the dining room area early forcing you to wait in a drive thru line wrapped around the parking lot, last night May 29th 2020 we waited 10 mins and only moved 1 car length in a line of cars 20 deep. You could at least allow order at door service as the Farmers Branch location offers to cut down on the ridiculous and ridiculously slow and lousy drive thru service at this location!! So we decided never again we will go to this location! Also as many have said in prior post, they are very skimpy on the portion sizes and you always have to ask them to add more and give you an attitude for doing so! For what we pay there there should not be any skimping at all! When I decide to go to Panda Express again I will most certainly skip this location and go to the location in Farmers Branch, Tx off of Josey Lane and Valley View! They never skimp and the staff is nicer! read more
