Wow, no love for the Panda Expresses out there on Yelp. In the world of fast food, I'm giving this location a solid 4 stars. They were completely out of Orange Chicken when we were there, so we waited a few minutes to get a fresh batch. This was a snack for us on a road trip: Got the "bigger plate: 1/2 Chow Mein, 1/2 Veggies Orange Chicken Broccoli Beef Grilled Teriyaki Chicken $13.90 after tax. This was a massive portion which I think could be 1.5-2 meals if you wanted to stretch it. Everything tasted fresh. Servers were friendly. No complaints. read more

Confused why there are so many questionable reviews. We stopped here on our way to LA and were greeted so kindly by the workers. They were all so hospitable. On this visit I met the new manager Rose who seems to have extreme pride in her food. When I reflected that some of the food been sitting less than desired freshness. She insisted they'll make new ones. I have visited Panda countless times this is the first time someone volunteered and eager to offer fresh ones. Also only took minutes for the fresh batch to come out. Which makes this Panda easily the best choice for food down the 5 freeway. read more

I'm a fan of Panda Inn, but not-so-much Panda Express. After all, I've only been a handful of times in all my years. But, I was in need of solving hungry pains. Perhaps, not the best location and not the most desirable of all Hwy 5 eating choice offramps, the time was now to solve my issue. It was noon, and I just had to do it. Blow me down. When you're road trippin up/down I-5, and just looking for a semi healthy quick and easy food option surrounded by loads of fast food burger joints, Panda Express fits the bill. Where else can you find a nice bowl of brown rice, with super green veggies, and a variety of wok fried proteins to keep you truckin down the highway. They DO have a drive through. Very close pet relief areas. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of tables, and outdoor shaded tables if your fur baby wants to hang out with you for the pit stop. Everyone inside was nice and friendly. Horrible service!! went at 9:20 pm on may 14th through the drive through told us to pull to the front for something they were making than proceeded to give our food to another car and had us wait a total of 40 minutes which is ridiculous really I don't understand why they don't read out the orders to people so they don't make the same mistakes. Came in and they messed up both my orders. First off, I asked for half and half plate and they gave me just rice. On that same plate I asked for honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken. The honey walnut shrimp had no walnuts (which I asked to make sure) I had to wait till a rush was over (I was there before the rush) for my orange chicken. Even short staffed they maintained efficiency, kept up with food on deck despite having only one cook and literally twenty customers, bathrooms were as clean as you could ever be surprised by at such a high traffic stop, they were out of forks by the drinks but made sure everyone had one at the cashier. Marco is a damned hero and deserves a raise for working that flow of traffic and still having a positive friendly demeanor. Seriously give him and all those guys a pay bump. 11/7/21 Not happy to give this review. But it is earned due to the cashier at this location. My first 1 star review, I hope to change this if Panda Express gets back to us. Well, this is the first time it "pays" to be a yelp user. :) LOL I took a picture of my daughter's meal before she started eating. Then drove to In N Out for my lunch. We started chatting and comparing our lunches. She implied that our meals were the same price, but I said I paid $9 for her lunch; obviously, I did not compare the receipt with what she actually ordered, I just TRUSTED Panda to NOT over charge. So I pulled out the receipt and my daughter told me she never ordered shrimp; it was the guy in front of her. Since we were across the street I sent her back in. The cashier did not believe her, even after she showed her the picture I took. After some negotiations the cashier finally gave her back my $1.25, but what about the sales tax? Quality/Quantity - Consistent and usually fresh, but I always felt they never gave enough quantity. Disclaimer - I am not a customer of Panda Express, but only go for my daughters. Atmosphere - Negative stars due to the poor actions of the cashier. Bathrooms were not clean either. Aggressive homeless person opening and closing the entrance door to business. Service - Negative stars!! Cashier practically accused my daughter of trying to cheat them of $1.25. After some negotiations the cashier finally gave her back my $1.25, but what about the sales tax? You owe me 10 cents. It is very sad that you get so many customers trying to cheat you of $1.25 that you have to be so aggressive for partial refunds. Price - Wrong, over charged. Over priced. The food is always fresh and hot. We order here from the app to drive through and take home. Our favorite is the teriyaki chicken.

I usually do gas refills around this area and when I feel the need to grub, I usually get it around here, too. In n Out is usually my go-to but I wanted to change it up on this last trip. And that's how my party of three ended up here. They've scaled their menu down a bit (which is reasonable considering the pandemic) but they had the usual suspects. I went for a bowl of the Beijing beef (with 1/2 steamed rice and 1/2 noodles) and parental units shared a 2 item plate (orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp.) We went through the drive-thru and once we paid for our items, we were asked to park and that they'd deliver the food to us. I realized once the food got to us that 2 orders means 2 sets of utensils. When the worker was walking away, I called her out and asked for another set. Since she didn't respond, I didn't think she heard me. (This was on me since I didn't think of that ahead of time.) However! They also gave chopsticks, so I didn't need the extra set after all. The food was great. Beijing beef wasn't as spicy as I expected it to be, but that was fine with me. The meat was tender and seasoned nicely. The walnut shrimp was a nice surprise. I honestly didn't think much of it but when I saw and tasted it, I was immediately impressed. The shrimp are a pretty good size and the seasoned batter was thin enough so it didn't take away the main essence of the shrimp. The orange chicken never disappoints. It had that sweet savory taste. We were almost done eating when the worker came back with the extra set of utensils, apologizing for taking so long since it kinda got a little crazy inside. (I believe her given all those cars lining up to put in their drive-thru orders.) I sorta felt bad because I made her come out for nothing. I did, however, repurposed the utensils, so all good. FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 5. VALUE: 3. PARKING: Plenty. Not an issue. OVERALL: 4. I'm usually driving so it's a little hard to eat this kind of food while on the move. But I will consider them again in the future when I make my next trip between SoCal and NorCal. read more

On our way back to LA, we stopped by our FAV place to eat chinese fast food PANDA EXPRESS aka PANDA STRESS !!! Not to my surprise the line was quite long as i stood in line. I was by a lady wearing black outfit and I think her named was Angie. I always get Bigger plate and we loved the "Beijing Beef". There were only a few left to purchase so I requested Angie for a fresh batch. She looked at the left over on the stainless bowl but she appears to be a little stressed and maybe rattled as i saw her go to the kitchen weighing some beef I thought she was going to make it. She left it on the weighing scale while I get some water to drink. Here comes the moment of truth, moment anxiety and the waiting game! I was standing, waiting, now getting upset but no sign of her as if she burst like a bubble! Missing in action or maybe poor delegation of the task to do! Very obvious. Me and my wife are so hungry, now i'm losing patient, boiling inside until a lady wearing outfit approached me with a smile and ask me, how can I help you sir? Her name is "Arestolin l" as reflected on my receipt I explained that i have been waiting and waiting and we need to get our food and hit the road. At this time, my Beijing beef was fried but the other ingredients were not yet made until the chef came in to mixed and cooked the ingredients. The associate informed me that they can't add Broccoli to Bowl since it's neither an entee nor a side... which is interesting because on the app, it allows you to add broccoli. When she asked me to choose another option, I politely responded no thank you," and proceeded to go to In N out. I commute, so I have no time wasting other people's time to get poor communication within management. I honestly don't care or have ever reviewed anything. Having worked fast food myself I understand that things can get busy but it was very different at this location. When we got there there were few people in the store but they had almost no sides available. I ordered broccoli beef they said it would be ready in 8 minutes 25 later and nothing. I stood there hearing them repeatedly tell the cook to make broccoli beef and he would turn to look at me and make everything else but that. I have way too much anxiety to say anything so all I could do was wait it out even though I was on a time crunch. I felt I was disrespected right to my face and my group had finished eating by the time I got my plate. I was nice to them even after having received my food it's not like I'm going to ruin my day over that. This review won't mean anything to most people but I'm posting it so they do better since I was nothing but patient and they proceeded to play in my face the whole time, I ended up leaving even more anxious and embarrassed that I was the last person to receive anything from the entire line:/ read more

On long road trips, we always stop by this area for gas stops. We had never stopped by this Panda Express and decided to give it a try. We ordered a plate with Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp, Cream Cheese Rangoons, Veggie Eggrolls, and Fried Rice. To be honest, we ordered Mixed Veggies as a side at first, but they said it'd be a wait so we opted for fried rice instead. The staff was super nice and they put the egg rolls and rangoons in a box instead of the usual paper bags. At checkout, they said they did that to prevent it from being crushed which was honestly very sweet of them. We did notice the lady helping us didn't put orange chicken on the plate at all and just closed it and gave it to the cashier. At the car, we double checked and had to come back in the store for orange chicken. They apologized and were nice about it at least. read more

This panda location looks quite new, and even offers a drive thru. It's large and clean inside, and because of the drive thru, food is turning over quickly and is fresh. Except for the brown rice -- it was surprisingly kinda crusty and tasted like it was sitting for hours. Also this location doesn't have the tofu entree. So there are little vegetarian dishes. I enjoyed the garlicky broccoli and cabbage -- called super greens and the firecracker shrimp. read more

i've never written a review for anywhere before but save ur time with this panda location and go to starbucks of the mcdonalds close by.. we ordered our food thru drive line, waited the usual amount of time in line and got our food. she first gave us our dr pepper, it was flat and watered down. no problem, we just asked for it to be switched with a different drink. i got my meal, and the orange chicken was crunchy like literal candy and did not taste fresh at all. the rice tasted so bland but the chow mein was good at least. the cubs meal came with apple crisps, and we didnt even receive them. i went in and asked them for it and they seemed confused and was like "who took ur order" i've worked in fast food for a while so ik its not that deep to know who took my order but to replace the item that was missed. one of our meals also had a white cream-ish color block of whatever vegetable was in a bowl that we got. mistakes happen, just make up for it, it's not hard. the girl who took my order was nice although the people inside didnt have the best attitude. even though there was a line, it did seem clean inside. but yeah save ur time from this place, not worth your money at all. read more

After having tried and experienced all of the crappy fast food joints up and down the I-5 L.A. San Francisco corridor, we decided to give Panda Express a try. Normally I would not have Panda Express, however since the Micky D's and the J in the Box are simply unedible on this interstate, I went in. Wow what a refreshing meal. The restaurant was clean and the food looked good. The servers were right there to help you. We had the broccoli beef, kung pao chicken, Honey bacon chicken ($.50 more), stir fried veggies, orange chicken, with chow mein and fried rice. A-OK The servers did try to up sell some angus beef stir fry for $1.50 more. Decent meal. Bathrooms are clean. Better than getting cardboard food with a side of bad attitude from the burger joints. read more
