Horrible experience. Placed an online order that should have been ready at 8:35pm. After 15 minutes I was told they were still cooking one of the entrees, the new crispy almond chicken and it would probably be another 6 minutes. That's over 20 minutes past my pick up time. A new item should be ready to go so people will actually try it like I wanted to. When eating at Panda Express you get the feeling that you are in a fast food restaurant. Despite it being already prepared, having a drive thru, and self-service beverages. The ribs were also not marked with the star sticker symbolizing 'extra charge item' but there is a $1.25 surcharge to the meal price for them. Which is why I don't come here often: it is inexplicable to me how there are such long lines both inside and at the drive-thru for cafeteria quality food at a price structure riddled with surcharges. Yeah I know you get three meats and a side from Panda for roughly the same price as a dinner special at a standard Chinese take-out, but the freshness factor is what I lean to. Holy hell the drive thru is ridiculously slow. Even when it doesn't seem like many cars in the line it is still somehow a 15 minute minimum ordeal. I think the food is okay, kind of like what you'd get in the food court at the mall. I like coming here instead of a traditional Chinese restaurant when I would rather have a drive thru experience rather than a pickup or delivery. I generally find the food at a real Chinese restaurant to be better tasting and a better value. I do enjoy the honey walnut shrimp which they up charge you for. The dumplings are not worth it. After waiting 10 minutes in the drive thru, I get to the window at 9:23pm. The restaurant closes at 10pm. The employee informs me that there are only a few meat options (4) and only two side options. No orange chicken which is obviously a favorite. I ask her what would have happened if I ordered through DoorDash and she said I could try but they stop taking orders at 930. I reminded her that the time was 9:23 and she said if I placed it, they would just call and say they didn't have the food for my order. I left. I had no problem with the entree, but when it came down to the entree I was really let down. The rice was so hard, like they had mixed in old rice with fresh rice. They are very unorganized no one wears gloves and the food was not fresh. I ask them for a fresh batch of the Angus Steak and I was told that there was enough in the pan that looked like it was sitting there all day. We hadn't gone here for years, but decided to give it a try. The Angus Steak was really good and so was the Orange Chicken. My husband had a chicken entree that had hot peppers in it. He loved it, but they should warn people about the spice because it would have been way too hot for me. The staff was very pleasant and our order was exactly as placed. The other night I went to get food after my sons football game that ran really late. I pulled into the parking lot at 9:45, drive thru line was pretty long so I decided to run in, get the food & leave. By the time I parked, got my son out the truck, and my infant child our the back & walked up to the door it was about 9:48. An employee was walking in front of me as she just cleaned off the outside tables she entered first & locked the door on her way in & then pointed to the drive thru. So I put everyone back in the car and go into the drive thru. Around 10:15 I finally get to the menu and try to place my order. They didn't have fried rice & the only entrees they had were Orange & black pepper chicken. Since it was already late I just ordered what they had left.. White rice & orange chicken for my son & chow mein with black pepper chicken for myself. All the while there's still about 4 cars behind me waiting to order. I waited forever & once I finally got to the window it still took 10 minutes to get my food. I don't understand if that was the only thing left & the inside was closed what was the hold up. The food was not fresh once we got it. The lady at the register had a horrible attitude when I asked for her plum sauce after sitting in the drive thru close to an HOUR! The only reason I didn't leave was because it was already so late, my kid needed to eat something, and I had already waited so long just to be told they had practically nothing left.. This is not the first incident like those. Usually when I go to this location they never have entree items. We pulled out of the parking lot at 10:42. Every time I come here they have no food. You end up waiting 25-30 minutes for the food to be ready, and even then you have to wait because everyone else in the restaurant has been waiting for their food also so by the time you get your food they have pretty much run out and then the process repeats itself.
