We placed an order on the Panda Express website/App last night at 8:45 PM because they never answer. I received a confirmation and it also indicated that I would receive an email. I took a screenshot of the confirmation just in case. Good thing that I did because I never received the email. Due to an emergency we weren't able to pick up our food in a timely manner. My credit card was charged. My husband went in to the restaurant today to ask for assistance and possibly get a refund or our order replaced. My husband first spoke to a nice young man who heard my husband out and was willing to assist with the issue. Then he went on to do something else and another employee called the manager for my husband. The manager immediately told my husband that it was too late for her to do anything and that the refund could not be done and that we couldn't get the order we lost. She was extremely rude and not once did she apologize to my husband. She basically said no and sent him away (he was so embarrassed). I've personally had to deal with her in the past due to a delay on an order. We had to we wait in our car for over 20 minutes and when I finally walked in to ask about it she gave me a dirty look and grab the receipt from my hand an she ordered an employee to give me the chicken egg rolls. She never apologized, it was obvious that they forgot about us. This is all it takes for us to never set foot in that place again! Terrible service and horrible manager. read more

I don't think the drive through really fits this location. It seems to back up ordering and timing for patrons trying to order inside as well. As for the food, it's okay at best. I've been to this location several times and normally I have really good service. However, for some reason there was a mixed up with the staff regarding my pickup order. I was told it was delivered when it was scheduled for pick up. They finally figured out the confusion amongst the staff and gave me my order. Came here today drive-through and they were out of medium drinks so I asked if they can give me a large drink instead and charge me for a medium cup because it's not my fault that they don't have medium cups, major attitude. I've been to 3 different locations and this is the first I've seen with a drive thru! Although I didn't use the drive thru, I did notice just how smooth their operation ran running basically two operations out of one. The deployment of their employees by station allowed I believe to be the best way to handle the large volume of business they have. Out of my normal way to possibly come back but if I'm in the neighborhood I know where they are and I will be there! Great food - great service - great atmosphere - great place! read more

COVID-19 Review: Just did drive thru to prevent the covid-19 spread. Drive thru family meal 36.00 and walk in 20.00. This doesn't seem right it's safer to stay in the car. I ordered through the drive thru so I can't comment on anything else. So the girl at the window was nice but I never realized how she had thrown my napkins inside the bag. I realized once I got home that the napkins were all crumpled up and they even looked used (see picture), but that's not the reason for the 2 stars... I had gotten half and half and the chow mein tasted hella burnt! It didn't look very black but I think they didn't clean the pan very good before cooking it.. and then as soon as I tasted the rice, same flavor. I tried drenching my food with sriracha but even that didn't get rid of the burnt taste. The quality and portions between mobile order and in person ordering is crazy. Beware if you do a mobile order. They give you the poor quality food that was at the bottom of the trays knowing that they will bag your food in the back and tie up. First of all I have been a regular customer of this exact Panda Express since they first opened their doors. Was the only Panda I ever really went to since they had a drive-thru and I spent a lot of years with friends in the nearby river bottom in Otay. I believe I only know of exactly only 3 Panda Express locations in San Diego with a Drive-Thru. Not a lot of other Chinese drive-thru options in San Diego, so I embraced it when it came to be very early on. I remember when they first opened up I was thinking of the movie Dude Where's My Car? And then? And then? ......but it never happened because everyone spoke English. I miss the Kobari beef dish and the Thai Cashew Chicken. Panda Express food quality is not the same as it used to be, but it is still more edible than any other Chinese owned previously 99 cent places around the entire south towns. read more
