Super tasty food, enjoyed the amount of sauce on all four of our entries. Friendly staff at a super busy location.

Customer service is trash...every time I ask for one more teriyaki sauce they give attitude & say they can't...can never seem to get my order correct & forgets my drink... read more

I eat here a lot, but today I saw something bad... manager making his own plate and reaching into food buckets with his bare hands... when I said something, they acted like it happens a lot.. service from the team is always good, food is ok... read more

Never fails ... EXTREMELY bad customer service and long 15-30 min wait time. Manager definitely needs to start making some changes!

The worker Lizbeth that goes by Liz was so rude, she had short rude responses when I was ordering and even had the audacity to ask how many more bowls I was going to order and when I said excuse me ? She said I was just wondering. She also kept cutting me off when I was trying to order my food. I'm assuming she was the manager but if there's a higher up that anyone knows of let me know so I can report how rude she was. If you genuinely dislike your job and feel the need to be rude to customers for no reason than I suggest finding a job that doesn't require decent customer service. read more

Bad service. It has become a habit for the staff to make the drive thru customers wait in the parking lot. They tell you that they will bring your order to order to your car in 5 min which in reality takes them 15-20 minutes and that because people get off their cars walk in and wait for their food standing next to the cashier. They have 15-20 employees working the kitchen the restaurant is not even at is full capacity and they still make people wait this long for their order. It seems that there is no presence of management. read more

First of all the only reason i went to this panda express is because its the closets one to my home. I ordered a plate with chow mein and the chow mein has more onion than actual noodles. It has a strong flavor of onion. Also, i ordered honey walnut shrimp and was charged extra because its shrimp and the only served me a very small amount. It is not fair that they charge extra and only serve so little. Please step it up. Not sure if i will be visiting this panda express again. read more

The girl that served me seemed put off because I wasn't ready to order. I told my husband to order before me. While she was serving him she asked me if i was ready. I thought it was strange since she only has two hands and was still serving my husband. I asked her if i could please try the orange chicken and the fiery chicken. She did and i opted for the latter. When we got ready to pay she asked us if we wanted hot sauce and soy sauce and we said yes. When we left i noticed we didn't have enough hot sauce (it was two) and i went back asked if i could have some more hot sauce. She paused. Looked at me like saying, "really bruh" and proceeded to hand me ONE sauce lol. I asked her if i could have like 4 more. She then gave me a handful. But i can tell she was annoyed as if it was going to come out of her earnings. In the end she got me good because when I got home and finished my meal i discovered the toothpick with halfway wrapper that she had given me my samples from. It was in the bottom. Wow. She must have been having a bad day. But that doesn't give her the right to mess with customers food. My one star is for the poor customer service. read more

Panda Express - my server wasn't having a good day and decided to sneak in the toothpick inside my food - Chinese Near Me - Chula Vista, California

WE have used this facility for some time, drive in and walk in both. The service is real service, answers questions about food regarding allergies and heat. Offers samples to taste. They smile, they care and they work quickly and smoothly with each other. It is nice to see that. Not had a bad item yet. Nor do I expect to have that happen. We have been there in the lunch time, afternoon, and evening. Worst is so busy at lunch but they handle it really well and interesting to see it rubs off on the customers and they *Customers" help each other when leaving and cars are packed in and crowded. Love how the attitude rubs off on customers. I have always ordered to go. But I like to see what I want to eat so always go inside. read more

Ordered their new promo "Surf and Turf" = Shrimp with Steak which is $1 extra. I don't normally mind paying the extra $1 for Shrimp and I usually get their walnut shrimp meal when I visit. What's irritating is I only got 2 shrimps with my bowl. Two small shrimps and I paid extra for this? Give me a break. I may never order any of their $1 extra meals after this. read more

I don't know why yelp says they close at 10 yet the drive through says they close at 11:30. They have no options past 10 don't waste you're time if it's late and you're hungry. read more

Went through the Drive thru where I then had to park because of forgotten items. When I asked for the items they looked at me like I was trying to scam them. They spent the next minutes asking each other if they remember putting my order together. Having to get down defeats the purpose of drive thru. I get home with 3 sad looking cream cheese Rangoon one that doesn't even have cream cheese in it. Very disappointed with the service today. read more

Panda Express - Sad. - Chinese Near Me - Chula Vista, California

Meat was rubbery and they put it on top of my rice when I asked not because I didn't want the meat sauce on it so that was ruined and the chowmein was all soggy and bland don't ever go here there's always a long line and the food isn't even worth it mind you while ordering they switched and cut me off between 3 different workers and I had to repeat myself each time. Terrible all around I would go get my money back but with the stupidity of the workers I didn't even want to bother. read more

This place is always so packed! But can't complain. It the only Panda Express that has a drive-through, that I know of in San Diego. And the service has honestly improved. The women and men work really hard to please all their customers. Even the crabby ones. Thank you for keeping it professional. We'll always be coming back. read more

Do not go to this place for Panda Express. What a disappointment, they did not get my order because I was not wearing a mask however, we are already talking in the car, like you're getting your order and they just turned us away. There was the 6feet space when we were talking and we also covered our faces. But she keep insisting on us wearing a mask. So we had to go back home and go to the other panda to get our food. This place is ridiculous and disappointing at a time like this where we just wanna get food and we're paying but they're turning us down. I'd give them 0 starts if I could cause we also had wait in the drive through line in order to get out and it took long. Please save your time and go to other place such as McDonald's or any fast food restaurant where they care about you and serve what you want. read more

My family loves panda express, so whenever we have a last minute get together we always order catering from you guys. Because of our experience coming here a lot the manager before recommend we ask for delivery.( Free delivery on orders over $100.) That's what we did for this order and the service was exceptional! You guys really blew me away. I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was to order. I called around 6pm Saturday night to have the food delivered by 7pm and they were here 5 mins before 7pm! I will continue to order from this panda express. This place is always busy which means food is always FRESH !! Exceptional customer service!!! read more

pros... if you are in the mood for some quick chinese food and are in my neck of the woods then this would be one place to go. the place is located in the relatively new shopping center off the free way on main street. the place is clean and the service is pretty good, especially if you go inside vs. going through the drive thru. the menu is typical panda express, your normal/staple american-chinese food options... somewhat plain fried rice, chow mien, steamed rice for a starch. and sesame chicken, bbq pork, sweet n. sour (add your meat here), beijing beef, hot sour/won ton/egg drop soup. service was great, they are really friendly and they really try to stuff the crap out of the styrofoam box. my tip go when they are about to close, they are trying to rid of stuff. but i did notice they they will still make a new, piping hot batch of something if it is gone and you order it. not alot but just enough for you. cons...this is one really hard place to find. you can totally see it off the street, trying to get to it is another thing. the actual place is totally in the dark, back corner of the shopping mall. and going though the drive thru was fun too. they don't seem to give you alot compared to going inside to order. but that's about it. read more

This is Chula Vista's CLEAN Panda Express. I like the pork; I like the various incarnations of chicken in oyster flavor sauce. Everything is full of salt and sugar like Americans of both hemispheres like it. Friday night the parking lot is full of the original wife beating cantero ranchero Lupillo Rivera's music coming from an SUV immaculately polished no doubt with the owners own semen. And the folks sitting at the patio tables love it. Their screaming children run with joy and abandon as I hope they get run over. Alas, no I apply the brakes and attempt a third world drivethru order. Much of the staff here is Asian. (Where's the Messicans? On the Patio at the tables. In the store sitting like fat-assed Duenas waiting to be waited on hand and foot.) Anywho, I gets me my sugar coated fried chicken bits and sugar coated fried pork bits and salty oyster flavor sauce broccoli beef and chow mien and a lipton green tea in a bottle. It satisfies. The Oyster Flavor sauce starts to kick in, Someones getting some lovin' tonight as soon as the MSG headache wears off. for her and me. read more

Ok first off... Whoever the girl was in the drive thru this afternoon shouldn't be working the drive thru. We had to repeat and repeat and repeat and tell what we wanted. Sauce EVERY WHERE! Total mess! Awful! Don't even deserve one star... read more

Although the food here is good, I don't think there has been one time where they have gotten my order correct in the drive thru. Whether it's while I'm ordering or once I receive my food. I don't understand how this place doesn't have five star reviews. The food is consistently good. The staff is always very very nice. It's clean inside, the drive-through doesn't take forever. What more can you ask for? read more

Dirty grill, chicken wasn't ready or even starting to cook when I came in until way after I paid. Unorganized and disrespectful staff

Horrible. I should've read the reviews before coming here. The drive thru is unacceptable. I waited at least 30 mins there. You order then they have you park on the side to let the other cars behind you go while you wait. It's already a tight space as it is so imagine having 5-6 cars waiting for food on top of the traffic that goes on from the other stores around. read more

Panda Express - Chinese Near Me - Chula Vista, California

I am posting this to voice my displeasure with the preparedness of Panda Express #1098 at 1820 Main Ct in Chula Vista. Three of the past four Sundays I have gone to this establishment at 10am. Each time at least one of the items that I desired was not ready. I do laundry a block away early on Sunday and then wait until ten so that I can purchase my meal for the day. It is very disappointing to then have to wait additional time. The first time this happened, my daughter was offered a complimentary small drink, but I (who was paying, by the way) was ignored. The last two times nothing. The food is adequate so I keep giving them another chance but each time I'm frustrated again. Even after voicing my displeasure, the only thing that I receive is a weak apology. In my opinion, while I would just prefer that everything is ready when the doors open,I should be offered something complimentary. Not that I want something for free, but it has always been my experience that if the establishment is inadequate in any way the manager has always tried to make amends. My advice to anyone planning to go there, wait until well past opening time. read more

I really like Panda Express and I come here often, but unfortunately the last 2 times I've went I haven't received my fortune cookie. 3/5 stars. read more

Horrible - don't bother. Like all Panda's you will fare slightly better if you arrive at lunch time or dinner, however at 4pm you're likely to get food that has been sitting under the lights since 1pm. Blech! The food is bland and often overcooked to the point of being unrecognizable as edible. There is also a regional difference. At northern california pandas for example the orange chicken is crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside and sauce that is both sweet with just the right kick of spice. Not so in San Diego. The orange chicken is tough, dry and the sauce has no flavor. None. Pathetic. And unlike other chains if you send an e-mail to corporate with your observations you get only an auto responder thanking you for your input. The info is not passed on to the Panda location you were commenting about, and no coupons are offered. Very sad. May 18th, 2010 update: Hoping for different results I arrived at this Panda today at 10:01 right after they opened. The fried rice was ok. The veggie spring rolls looked a little over cooked but they were just the right amount of crispy. Sadly, when I arrived the spring roll sauce wasn't ready yet. Now for the bad news - While the broccoli beef appeared fresh (you can tell from the broccoli) it was cold, and the beef was tough. And the orange chicken? Leftovers from last night. Tough, overcooked, and although the sauce was a little bit better than last time it was still pathetic. I don't know what the deal is, are they trying to go cheap on the meat? Do they have a different vendor for meat than the northern california locations? What's up? I used to be hopelessly addicted to Panda. Not anymore. July 13th, 2010 update: I ordered fried rice, broccoli beef, and orange chicken. It was 10:01am but there were no paper plates available so the server left the line and came back with some. When she built my order, she put bejing beef on instead of the broccoli beef and tried to hand it to me. I told her that wasn't my order, so she took the plate and scraped the bejing beef back into the steam tray. DISGUSTING! UNSANITARY! She was going to use the same paper plate. Well, clue phone I have severe allergies and the residue from the bejing beef would have killed me on the spot so anyway I asked her to make a new plate, which she does - but to punish me the portions were way smaller. And get this - the rice and orange chicken from the plate she screwed up? Yep, scraped back into the steam tray for some other customer to eat. EEEEEWWWWW read more

Great place, cant understand why it doesnt have better reviews. Food is always fresh and great service

Customer Service is really poor. The cashier Sofy was so rude. Never coming back to this location.

Ate here for lunch today. Had half & half (fried rice & noodles) & mushroom chicken & honey walnut shrimp. Mushrooms were a little over cooked, but everything else was ok. Drink machine was semi not working. Tried to get the Sobe cranberry grapefruit but water just came out. There was a guy trying to fix the machine. It was also hot inside. There was no ac on a hot day! read more

Went through drive thru Friday night about 8:45pm. Line was long about 5 cars ahead of us. But was moving, took us about 5 min to get to order and about another 5 to get to window. Now the food was great, no complaints there. But the lowering of the stars is due to the poor customer service. The guy at the drive thru window collects your money. Then leaves closes the window on you. Then when he comes back just sticks his arm out the window to hand food. Never making anymore eye contact with us at all. We had to NOT drive off to get his attention to ask for soy sauce. I mean yeah I understand it was Friday night it was busy. But really sticking your arm out not looking at your customer to thank them or ask them if they need anything else? FAIL Panda Express! read more

This is the WORST Panda Express I have ever been to. Every time I've been here they ALWAYS mess up our order. They either give you something you didn't ask for or they short you and don't even give you your second side. The employees are rude. This Panda Express needs new management and all new employees. ALWAYS double check to make sure you got what you ordered before you leave. read more
