When you can get what you want to order - quality can be ok. But the last three times I went, I couldn't get what I came for. Broccoli chicken - 15 minute wait. Tonight? Half hour wait for...white rice. 30 minutes. For the most basic item of Chinese food. Look, things happen. But you don't go for pizza to hear there's no crust. You don't stop at McDonald's and hear there's no fries. And you should never go too Chinese food and find no white rice. There's a time management problem here and someone should be working they weanie roller machine at AM/PM. Won't be a fourth time! read more

The panda never disappoints for fast food Americanized Chinese food, like any fast food chain, all the restaurants look and have a similar feel as their counterparts, the place was clean, nice friendly staff. I had the fried rice, the rice could have been a bit fresher, the honey walnut shrimp was good, they didn't have any chopsticks and I didn't get a fortune cookie.... besides those two things everything was ok read more

See all

The food is always fresh and great tasting. Service is quick, even when they are slammed and folks are friendly.

This place is horrible! I've eaten allot of Chinese food in my life [56 yrs old] but nothing like this place! And the fact that they have the name gourmet on their boxes is a joke! I ordered the double plate with two entrees and two sides, got orange chicken and a spicy chicken along with chicken fried rice and chicken chow main, first off I couldn't even tell which chicken was what because they were both brown in color, no orange color whatsoever! The meat was dry and hard and I couldn't even eat it! The chicken fried rice had no chicken in it at all, just a bunch or peas and carrots, the chicken chow MEIN also had NO CHICKEN IN IT!! and the noodles were super skinny like sewing thread! Just completely awful!! I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!! The WORST CHINESE FOOD EVER!! read more

Why oh why do I keep going back to this place! By the way this has nothing to do with the pandemic, they are consistently horrible. I ordered online for a pickup of 6:00. I arrived at 6:00 and waited considerably longer to receive my order. My first mistake was in not checking to make sure my order was right and the second, going there in the first place. When I got home one plate had only chowmein and I ordered 1/2 and 1/2 so no rice for my children. I had also ordered Kung pao chicken and received dry braised beef instead. The amount of food we had on our plates would not have feed a child. There was 3 small and I mean small pieces of beef in my beef and broccoli. Not one of the staff greeted me or dared smile, pretty obvious that they did not want to be there. The manager ( I assume it was by the black she wore) let me know they were waiting on the rice with no smile or apology for the wait. I would give this place a 1/2 star if there was that option. read more

Probably one of the worst panda expresses I've been to. Horrible service and every time I go here there out of something, whether it be cups, ice, food etc. This location needs to get it together! If you don't have to don't go here! read more

This place is disgusting. There was an employee working there with visible pink eye. Who would want someone with pink eye to touch their food? I left immediately read more

Portion sizes are unbelievably small. Probably 2/3 the size of the original that used to be given and still charge full price. You could do better panda. read more

After driving from Auburn, we were in search of lunch and bathrooms. Hooray, we found both at this location. Thank you, Wendy's for not having restrooms open for customers. Panda had something for each of my picky eaters. Large cold drinks and great food and service. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place for a quick meal. read more

Garbage. The smell alone of this place will make you gag, that is unless you are a seasoned fast food eater...then you will fit right in. Seriously I can't believe this place even gets business. It was a decent chain back in 2001ish, now it's just disgusting, small portioned schwagg. read more

The food does not look like the pretty fresh vegetables in the ads. It has a lot of filler with flour or something similar to make it thick and increase the volume. Overall, the vegetables and meat were tasteless. However, it is fast and the workers are friendly. That's why I gave it a 2. read more

I have been going through the drive through in Chico for many years. Tonight was my last trip. Ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp. It was not fully cooked. I asked if I could pay for extra walnuts, the answer was No. My double order contained about 5 little pieces of walnut.. Was offered a sample of something, as others have stated, it was never given to me. Wish I would have read their reviews a long time ago. Try their Oroville site. Stellar in every way. read more

We love Panda Express and go there often always good food and accommodating service. I was not happy this evening when I went through the drive through we ordered a 3 item and only got 2 of the items. My guys orange chicken wasn't in there. This has happened before with other drive thru''s and it's frustrating. Never had it happen with panda before just disappointed. read more

Worst customer service ever! Girl was extremely rude and to top it all off I asked the manager was seeing what was going on and she just stood there and looked at me. If you can't handle your employees than you shouldn't be in charge. I will be calling corporate Monday morning. read more

Panda Express - Got home to my two sides missing - Fast Food Near Me - Chico, California

Typical Panda food here. Sometimes you get the crispy, fresh stuff, sometimes you get the old, soggy stuff. One thing you will probably always get if you're going during mealtimes is a long and super slow line. The employees seem to put more of an emphasis on the drive through customers than the in-house diners. At dinner time, I've seen up to 3 employees working drive thru with only one working the regular line, this I don't quite understand. Pro tip: Always get your food in a to-go container whether you're eating in or taking out. They always pack more into the styrofoam containers over the plates. read more

food been getting worse lately. Service is WAY TO SLOW . They service the drive thru first while you stand in line inside up to 23 minutes to get your food.Always out of something they tell you 6 minutes to cook and you wait 10 to 14 minutes more. This is not a fast food place its a slow food place. read more

I love Panda. Like a lot. But this particular PE is pretty lame. The food is often sparse. If your favorite dish happens to be available, it will most likely be dry and lukewarm. Even around peak meal times there isn't a lot of the entrees out which I think is weird. Even if you make it before the rush. Not to mention the last time I went here I got orange chicken, but some of the pieces were beef! Not dark meat, but cow. Now I don't know about you, but my fave part of visiting Panda is getting the tea. I always get the largest cup possible (it's huge!) because it's just so tasty. I cannot say on here the horrible things I would do to get a stash of their teabags. But this store's tea is always really warm. I don't know if they're constantly brewing more of the tea every 15 minutes or so, but I don't like having to add so much ice that it waters down the tea a lot. Not to mention by the time I make it back home with my grub all of the ice is melted. And during my last stop in they didn't have any sugar, super annoying. I swear I'm not a whiny Windy, I just want all of my Panda visits to be consistent, no matter where I am. I miss the location by downtown, they had their act together. read more

My whole plate was practically uncooked. The rice was hard, the chow mein was bland and unseasoned, and the orange chicken wasn't flavored or cook either. The Kung Pao Chicken was surprisingly overcooked, though.. When I walked in, I was rushed along and it seemed like everyone that was working didn't wanted to be there or talk to anyone. Overall a bad experience and probably will not be going back. read more

I have been to Panda Express about three times and each time the food has been consistent. The drive-thru menu is easy to follow which makes ordering go quicker so the guy in the lifted truck behind you doesn't become inpatient and revs his diesel engine. Once you pull up to the window, your order comes out surprisingly quickly--Unless they have to replenish a dish. Other than the addictive walnut prawns, the rest of the food is average. I love chow mien but Panda's version is somewhat dry. Extra soy sauce? Yes please! Overall, this place makes for a nice change when you are craving fast food thats not a burger & fry. read more

I'll never go to this location ever again. I've been a few times and thought the food was really meh, not amazing but not gross. My mom really wanted to try it out the other night so I took her through the drive through. After ordering her food, we are told they are out of some stuff so they'll have to make more...um..okay. So we finally get to the window and hand over her card. They run it like 10 times and then tell us the card doesn't work and demand we give them a different card. Kind of strange, but okay so we give them another card and they run this one like 10 times. I ask what the hold up is and they begin insisting the card doesn't work and tell us to go to the bank and get cash and come right back to pay. Now, if I knew there was actually something wrong with the card I wouldn't even write this review, but come on! They were so rude about it that I just drove off and did not come back because eff them that's why not. We did go to the bank and double check, where they told us there was money in the acct and nothing was wrong. Fail, Panda Express. Just fail. We went over to Ginger's Chinese around the corner and used the same card to pay with no problem. What a joke. Why not try a different machine? Why act like it's the customer's fault that your machine doesn't work? Why waste a good 15 minutes of everyone's time and make the drive through line get even longer just because you are too incompetent to use the machine? read more

Awful customer service! 15 employees working and only one employee is taking order, where is the manager? Will not go back!!!!!

Was very disappointing today...I'm never going back to Panda Express again! The portion is so ridiculous for how much they are charging...they never fail to give you the littlest portion of food...I got the combo plate to go with double tofu stir fried with eggplants for almost $9 and this is how much they put on the plate. If you are looking to get a good amount of food for your buck, definitely not Panda Express...DO NOT GO to Panda Express. read more

I always give all kinds of food a chance so decided to try it. The food was soggy, you can tell the food was pre packaged then heated in a wok. This is disturbing to know how much preservatives is being used. Still don't understand why anyone would go here when there's a family owned Chinese restaurant across the street that serves fresh food. Mind blown read more

Hands down the most unprofessionally ran panda I've ever been to in my life. Don't waist your time, they never have dishes ready and have absolute horrible customer service. Specifically the 5"4" white man that looks like a child. Not to mention after waiting "2" (20) minutes in the parking lot, to get home to find your order completely wrong is the absolute cherry of this Panda Express experience. GO TO WENDYS OR TACO BELL NEXT DOOR:) read more

I love Panda Express normally but this time I was really disappointed. I order a plate with string bean chicken, sweet and spicy chicken, and white steamed rice with a side of pot stickers. What I got was burnt pot stickers and fried rice instead of white. Every time I go through this drive thru I have sat in it for at least 25 minutes each time no matter if there were a lot of cars or not. And it took at least 5 minutes before anybody at the order box said anything to me. But I will say that the drive thru cashier Alexander was very sweet and smiley. I'm just not happy that I waited for 30 minutes to get the wrong burnt food. read more

Slow slow and really slow super busy with only one person workin the counter. What a poor panda express.

I went through the Drive thru today got a bigger plate and and a plate and a side of rice. I didn't get my side of rice or my third item from the bigger plate. Pros: -You can use a receipt survey code on every visit to get a free entree. -Fast walk-in service (I don't use the drive-through.) -Food is fresh. -Employees are fast and friendly...mostly fast. Cons: -Sometimes they are out of a particular entree for the day if you go later at night. -Very poor selection of entrees, no variation, same thing all the time. -Food is bland. Keeping in mind that Panda Express is fast-food it really isn't bad. I never use the drive-through which allows me to see exactly what I'm getting. For those that are unhappy with the drive-through service I suggest parking your car and walking in. It doesn't take much extra effort and you are sure of what is going into your container. My biggest complaint about Panda Express is that the MENU NEVER CHANGES! They hardly ever offer new entrees, and never offer new sides. There are only three entrees I like and I have to get those three every single time I visit. How about some sweet and sour chicken? Hunan beef? Soups? Rice bowls? read more

customer service was great but the food was horrible the noodles were broken and really soggy

This goes to the Dutch Bros Princess with the headset on... How dare you rush my elderly friends in line who are trying to pick out their entrees. You are a pushy, rude and impatient little twit! You should NOT be rushing people. I hope you get your attitude adjustment you so desperately need from the management team at Panda Express. You know exactly who you are! You are a prissy little girl who obviously has zero insight into dealing with the public, particularly as they age. Guess what sweetheart, we are ALL GOING TO GET OLD SOMEDAY!!!
