Terrible service and clearly lied to us while we were going through the drive through. They told us they were out of all the sauces and missing almost half their menu items at 3pm. Service is bad. I walked in and in the middle of my order the girl place my plate down and ran in the back to answer her cellphone. She was on the phone for only a minute, came back to me and said "Me and my boyfriend are having a fight." Then asked another girl to help me out. Where do I start? This place never has anything ready to order. What's the point of having a drive thru to tell me I have to wait to have stuff made. The other day I went through the drive thru at prime dinner time (around 7pm) and they told me fifteen minutes for grilled teriyaki chicken and cream cheese rangoons (not the first time rangoons weren't ready either). Well I didn't really have much of a choice but to wait bc a car pulled in behind me in the drive through. The staff is always very knowledgeable and courteous. If there is the option to get a fresh protein they always offer it to me. The kitchen staff is always busy and the food is delicious. I live around the corner and can always count fresh and tasty meal. read more

Panda Express does not offer a large variety of food, but what they to have to offer is a reasonable selection of fresh, tasty entrees along with your choice of side dishes ( chow mein, fried rice, steamed rice, or mixed veggies). I think the fried rice and chow mein is a bit on the bland side but their entree dishes are usually quite tasty. We usually get the Mandarin Chicken and Orange Chicken dishes ( because once you find something you really like, it's difficult to want to try something else!). I like a mix of the veggies and fried rice. For smaller appetites you can purchase a one entree bowl. Today I am trying their Thai Chicken and Kobari Beef entrees, but of which are quite flavorful. The prices are reasonable and like most restaurants in America, there is way too much food to eat in a single sitting! But I did anyhow. Try it, you will surely be back for more! read more

Been here lots of times...and I don't know why. Initially the food tastes good, then within 2 hrs my stomach goes all haywire and I get into a fight with my colon. Never go to the Panda Express in Castaic. When we went the service was disgraceful, the women who took our order was rushing us to hurry up and wouldn't give us the time to order even though there was no one behind us. When we got to the window they were very rude to us and when they handed us the bag there was no sauce in it and only one cookie and the cookie was expired. If I want Chinese food I'll come here it's closest to home. It's been good overall. I like being able to see who's cooking my food. Yes the food has never been perfect. But I noticed that when they have new people cooking it lacks in something in the flavor. But usually when there's experience people on the back in the kitchen the food always taste good. We were camping in the area with kids, so of course they were tired of camping food and requested Panda Express. I am glad that we took our chances after we seen the reviews. When we walked in, all workers were busy- either cleaning dining room area or cooking/serving previous customers. We sampled a couple of entrees (because reviews on here made me skeptical). The food was not super fresh, but it was good. I am big on customer service and I would have good with 4 stars, but when we were leaving the cashier came after us in the parking lot because he forgot to give us our fortune cookies!!! To this locations defense, food may not be so fresh because area is kind of slow and deserted- so why waste food. Anyway... good job guys!!! read more

With Castaic being such a small bedroom community, I understand that there aren't slot of food options available. However, on multiple occasions that we have gone there the food is dry from being under the heat lamp for too long. To which if you ask for fresh food the staff get beyond upset. They also give incredibly small portions. We have called the company and written complaints but nothing seems to change. We have just resigned to not ever being able to eat there. Sometimes I visit this Panda Express restaurant with my family after church on Sundays. The dining room is always very clean and the food is excellent. The one issue that I have is that there are times when they only have one employee working both the drive thru and serving the guests inside the restaurant. It is not uncommon to see a queue of several people waiting to order who are not being helped because the employee is concentrating on keeping the drive thru moving along. Still, a good place to stop off for lunch in Castaic. read more

I purchased lunch for my husband and myself. When I got my meal I saw that I was given steamed rice instead of fried rice. When my husband went to exchange the side, the employee took my plate and put the white rice back into the rice cooker/pot, to serve to someone else. This is absolutely disgusting and made me extremely uneasy to know that food is not discarded when the order is incorrect. Completely unsanitary. This happened in front of several other customers as well. When we spoke to the manager, he didn't seem to care one bit. Our problems were not addressed, and he didn't seem to understand that severity of this particular issue. In fact the rice WAS served to other people in the line. This is entirely unacceptable and has disgusted me to the point I won't be able to eat at another Panda Express. I have contacted Panda Express Corporate and will update with a solution once I hear back from them. read more

*Disclaimer* Now normally I wouldn't review a fast food restaurant, but this place sucks just enough for me to bend the rules. I pulled up to this God awful drive-thru for a late night bite. I ordered the two entree & one side meal. Steamed white rice, mushroom chicken, & honey-walnut shrimp, please? Oh, $1.25 extra for the shrimp? Yes, that's fine. A three minute wait you say? Cool, no problem. Problem, problem, PROBLEM! Three minutes turned into about 12-13 minutes. A tad ironic don't you think? Considerings it's a "fast food" place, you know. I would've left had they not already raped my wallet. So I wait frustrated, receive my food, & book it. I get home & begin to forget about the pain in the ass wait as I prepare to feast. You can imagine my dismay when I open the container & see fried rice as opposed to steamed. Strike one, I hate fried rice. Whatever, I dig in anyway. The rice is obviously a day old. Like hard & chewy. Strike two. The shrimp was almost inedible. It was horribly fishy. As if it were sitting all day too. Strike three. The chicken was decent. When I drove up the drive thru was at least 10 cars deep, so i walked in. There were 2 people ahead of me and all of us had to wait 15 minutes while they exhausted the drive thru line. By that time they were out of fried rice and i waited 3 minutes for it to finish cooking. Unfortunately, they kept the line movibg and never made my order. I approached the counter to ask and then i had to wait for the orange chicken to cook because that was gone at that point. My husband and I have stopped to eat here on our way back home a handful of times and have never had an issue. This particular time we where headed back home with my mother in law. I had my daughter with me so I told my husband my order and went to change her diaper (there's no changing table inside) so I went out to the car and took my time changing her. When I returned, to my surprise my husband and mother in law were STILL in front waiting to order their food (there was no people in front of them the entire time). When I went up to them a male associate finally begun to take my mother in laws order. As she started ordering the female associate wearing the drive thru head set interrupted and had him start the drive thru order. He completely dropped my mother in laws plate and followed orders which I found extremely rude. And we were stuck waiting AGAIN. We all placed or orders and he wrote our orders on the plates because some of the food wasn't prepaid. We paid, got our drinks and sat down. Our food was just sitting there in there plates stacked and waiting, no one told us it was done my husband had to ask one of the associate who was a COOK to hand it to him. My mother in laws plate was missing her organ chicken. Although they did give her a large amount it didn't make up for the terrible service we received. We also didn't receive our fortune cookies. The restaurant was not packed or busy which is why the wait bothered me so much. I think if we would have just went threw the drive thru we would have received way better service. I'm leaving a 2 star review rather than a 1 Star since we have been here before and it has never been as bad as this. read more
