I was there 3/24/26 at around noon. Line was out the door and looks like they were handling a catering order as well. Most of the workers were young folks in their teens/twenties and WOW they still managed to provide excellent service and carry a smile on their face! Yesterday, around 5 PM we stopped for the first time at this Panda location (what happened with Boston Market place?). Not sure, that it even being open (looking from outside), we ordered to take out inside (the place was almost empty). Our order was a Bigger plate for $12.00 with 1/2 rice (dry, no taste), 1/2 noodles (very dry), honey walnut shrimps (was good and fresh) and the original orange chicken (surprisingly spicy). Very disappointing experience at this Panda Express. Although the store was technically open, they had very little food available more than an hour before closing, which made it clear they were not prepared to serve customers, especially a sizable group. When food was prepared, it was not cooked properly, specifically the chicken. We brought this to the attention of the manager, Julian, but there was no effort to remake the food correctly or offer a partial refund. What made the situation especially uncomfortable was that my friend, who was the only Black person in our group, received the undercooked chicken, and the response afterward felt dismissive and concerning. While I can't claim intent, the situation felt discriminatory based on how it was handled. Poor preparation, unsafe food handling, and a lack of accountability from management made this a very negative experience. I would not recommend this location. read more

Where to begin here.. absolutely awful location. Upon walking in there is a huge pool of water right by the door and I almost slipped. Should have just left then and there and staff wouldn't have even noticed. No greeting or anything when entering, staff were too busy preparing orders (possibly for catering?). This was before 11 AM as well when it should be completely dead and while there were only a couple people inside staff looked busy but also we're extremely slow paced and I stood first in line for 5 minutes without even being acknowledged. Finally when it was my turn staff were terrible listeners. This location is super weird. It's big inside, but that is the best thing going for it and the only good thing really. Then when I asked for a bowl I got a box and not a bowl. When asking for utinsils I got a cheap wooden fork. I don't know if they have to do this because it's Carlsbad or something, but no other Panda express does this, even in Encinitas and Del Mar. The food is not worth the price at all. Staff was slow and clueless and lacked any sense of priority. Overall the worst panda express I've been to and I asked for a refund. read more

Christian and the other young man were so helpful and nice, amazing service and very quick too! I'd also like to commend their patience, there was a nasty hearted person spewing hate and derogatory/racist remarks and they reminded positive, not letting it get to them. To management- please be more present and protect your staff. That woman after spitting racial slurs still ate inside the building and she as not asked to leave, which is preposterous. Please look out for your staff. This happened on 10/9/2025 around 1:45-2pm and the woman was wearing a blue shirt, sunglasses and had blonde hair. She should be 86'd from the establishment. Please take a moment to look at the photo I posted. Is that not the most mid 2 item combo you've ever seen. And the crazy part is it looks better than it tastes. I ordered a side of cream cheese wontons and they were cold, chewy, and smelled like old socks. I even signed up for their stupid rewards program and they still skimped me. The only "reward"I got was food poisoning. I'm unsubscribing/deleting/unfollowing/boycotting panda. What is the issue with this location? They don't use any of the Panda Express containers. Portions are not up to par with other locations. If you order a bowl you will not get what you paid for. You will get a kids meal sized portion. It also seems the orange chicken is either very old or significantly over cooked. I have never had Panda Express orange chicken to be so hard and dry. Carful, I ordered just a bowl and a plate and drove all the way home to find they put 2 of the same entrees when I asked for 1 and forgot the other one and forgot the side for it so essentially charged me for 3 entree but gave me a half ass 2 entree for some reason . Drove back and Justin the manger made it right and agreed to let me get one extra 3 entree plate on them for the in convince and I got my side of teriyaki chicken they forgot . Which is silly I don't know why they just completely cut this entree as an option. Not sure how or why a location is allowed to just cut out a menu item. I was also disappointed that they don't ever offer fresh super greens when they're ordered, it's all I order, so I asked if I could get fresh super greens and it was quite obvious that they were not happy about me asking.
