During their busy time, it may be best to order through the app especially because you can receive rewards. This location has enough parking so you don't have to worry about that. Again, when it's busy the lot may be a bit hectic so I'd suggest parking in a spot a little further away so by the dollar store so you don't have to worry about the crown going in and out. Decided to go to Panda for the 1st time in a long time. I decided to get the Angus Steak with noodles and veggies. The Angus Steak is considered a Premium item but I wanted steak so I bought a 2 item plate with both items being steak. They gave me FIVE little pieces of steak! Is that really two orders of steak? They offer different sizes such as bowl (small, around $8) and other bigger choices, all in the $10 range which is pretty reasonable. I haven't had Panda Express in years, but when they announced they were adding vegetarian beyond chicken to the menu, I had to give it a try. I ordered on their website and was able to use a coupon code to get a second bowl for free. However, when I went to pick up the food, the service at the restaurant was not great. The employee who was handling online pickup orders went to the back and was chatting with colleagues for several minutes while a line of waiting customers formed. When she finally finished her conversation, I asked if my order was ready. She said they were backed up and there would be a wait but when she double checked the names on the takeout bags, she saw that my order was ready and had been sitting there the whole time. Very frustrating. In terms of the food, I really enjoyed the beyond orange chicken. It was juicy and moist and had a sweet, bold flavor. The chow mein, however, was very dry and definitely needed a sauce. We asked for sweet and sour sauce to be included in our meal but they forgot to add it. I also liked the cream cheese ragoon. The shell was super crunchy and paired well with the filling. The veggie spring rolls were not the best. The dough was not crispy or flaky enough. Visited yesterday with friends because we had the dogs in the car. Was looking to eat outside-but for some reason the chairs were locked up. Finally 80 degree weather and we can't even enjoy our food outdoors. Lines are always long here and not enough workers. They hustle, but between a large number of people ordering and drivers picking up food-there aren't enough workers to keep up. Can't really understand the hype with the food here. This is located next to some competitors like Qdoba, Subway etc but again, this being a Chinese Place, it has its edge for being unique in the mall. I have had Panda Express a few times. Overall, their food is good. The Bayonne location is nice because there is plenty of parking and lots of seats inside to sit down and eat. I like to get my orders to go, as it's usually a quick process. I really like their grilled chicken teriyaki, their orange chicken, and their sweet fire chicken. These are my go to's when I place an order. Their noodles, rice, and other sides are just average. I personally have never had any issues here. I'm not the biggest fast food fan, which I put this place under, but it's nice to grab it a few times a year. I finally placed my order after waiting in line for 20 minutes and then when I finally sat down to eat the tables were dirty. My food had no taste at all and everything tasted bland. The lo mein, broccoli beef, and string bean chicken had no taste at all and even the soda tasted water down. This locations used to be in point with food quality and standards. Today, my wife mea was served with undercooked fried rice. Unacceptable with the cuisines standards. For what it seems that the rice was cooked straight from raw grain. The Kung pao chicken was missing the key protein, chicken. It's loaded with peanuts and zucchini instead. This panda is usually my preferred location between Bayonne and Newport but the food was surprisingly bland taste wise I've never really had a problem with the location. The orange chicken I am positive was sitting for hours and the honey sesame chicken may have been sitting for atleast an hour. At the very least the chicken egg rolls were made fresh but the overall meal was just very bland. And I find that odd because I ordered it during the lunch rush at 1 15pm. Although I am giving a one star review for this experience I would still recommend this location because it's usually not bad. read more

I haven't eaten at a Panda Express since the early 1990s and there's good reason for that. I don't like this type of fast food faux American Chinese food. It's never good and this is a good example of it being not good. They didn't even have toilet paper in the men's room. There was water on the floor and the bathroom really smelled. But at least the line was short so I decided to try this location for the first time even though it's been there for years. I'm just getting around to visiting it now as I was sick of looking at a old gift card I've had for years. I ordered the orange chicken over brown rice. The girl at the counter asked the guy in the back if they had any brown rice left. He said no and suggested that she offer the white rice. I said I don't want white rice what else do you have? So she pointed to the fried rice which looked cold and as if it had been sitting there for a very long time. I said no thank you what else do you have she said you can have the chicken on chow mein. I go to the second person behind the counter who asked me if I wanted anything to drink I told him I'll have a medium brewed tea. He looked at me like I had 10 heads and said to me what is brewed tea!! And, no....I am NOT joking. I said tea iced , its tea that's been brewed it's freshly made... Still the blank face so he points to the cooler with their some Lipton in a bottle. I told him I don't want that I pointed to the menu ask him again about the Brew tea he said we don't sell that ......REALLY its on the menu! How the hell do you operate a ""Chinese"" restaurant that doesn't have any rice and doesn't have any tea? I ended up getting soda which I didn't want and then sat down to eat my leftover looking faux Chinese food over chow mein which I absolutely hate. The ""chicken"" if you want to call it chicken was heavily breaded. It wasn't really hot but it wasn't cold. Nothing had any distinct flavor of its own. The chow mein was almost flavorless. I mean I'm glad it wasn't overly salty but this is really pushing it. It also wasn't really warm. The temperature inside was ridiculously cold even though it wasn't that hot outside. The floor definitely could use a sweeping and the booth I was sitting in had dirty seats with stuff statched between the back and seat. I wasn't at all impressed with this place. I still have a few dollars on the gift card that I used but I'll probably use it at a different Panda Express. I don't see myself ever visiting this place again. I'm only giving it 2 stars because I was impressed that it was still open at eight forty-five but it really should get 1 star. They never ever ever have white rice and I saw a roach flying into the buffet area of the food and was turnt off by it and told them what I saw and didn't say anything at all. Walked right out of that place. Will never return and I don't recommend anyone going there. That's if you want roaches in your food UPDATE : tried giving this place another chance because they're food is good BUT however this is the third time I walked in and they ran out of white rice 2 hours before closing time. You will be treated with spectacular disdain by the inadequately trained staff, warned that half of the entrees include an extra $1.25 hidden fee, be served food sitting under hot lamps for up 3 hrs with that wonderful dried out leathery consistency and 100% pure tastlessness, an alert non english speaking staff that can communicate only through pointing at entrees and deep guttural grunts, and so so so much more. Went there all confusing first time, people behind the counter only takes orders and act like they don't see you if you are not there to place order.
