My experience was similar to the last time I visited this location. The process to order online is easy and the order was ready on time. Furthermore, the staff is friendly and there's always plenty of parking so that's a big plus. However, for a pricey fast food restaurant which doesn't offer any type of coupons or discount, I expected a bigger burger. It tasted good but it was just too small in my opinion. This is one of the best places in Bayonne to get a cheeseburger. I get the double cheeseburger and it is amazing! I love five guys milkshakes, I got the vanilla mixed with chocolate (black & white) and it was amazing! The worker asked if I wanted whipped cream and a cherry which was really nice because I feel a lot of places don't ask you that. To Whom It May Concern, Today was one of the hottest days of the year, so instead of cooking, my family decided to pick up dinner from your Five Guys location at 301 Bayonne Crossing Way, Bayonne, NJ. When I entered the restaurant, I immediately noticed how extremely hot it was inside. I also noticed that the side door was propped open, so I asked one of the employees if the air conditioning was working. He told me it was not. There were three employees working--one on the grill, one cooking fries, and another preparing orders--all working under extremely hot conditions. They were visibly sweating, especially the employee on the grill. It was clear they were doing their best to provide excellent service despite the excessive heat. I find it unacceptable that employees are expected to work in these conditions without a functioning air conditioning system, particularly during dangerously hot weather. Their health and safety should be a priority. I hope someone from your corporate team looks into this matter immediately and ensures the air conditioning is repaired as soon as possible. These employees deserve a safe and comfortable work environment. I also hope the company recognizes their dedication and hard work during these difficult conditions. This location recently remodeled and I don't know if people know that it's open again. There wasn't much of a wait when we got in there. My friend and I both ordered the little bacon cheeseburgers because the regular has two patties and that's just a bit much. We both ordered milkshakes, against our better judgment, since neither of us needs the calories. I tried the seasonal blueberry and it was very mild with only a slight blueberry flavor. It was mostly vanilla. The chocolate shake did taste chocolatey. Burgers were really good. I am usually skeptical of chain places but these were a huge step above most of the others. Visited on a Friday evening (Nov 11). There were 3 workers cooking that night. Came in-looked pretty empty. There was an African American male who looked visibly upset that we came in. Perhaps he was enjoying the quiet night. But he loudly sighed before taking our order. Totally felt like we were inconveniencing him. I went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries a couple weeks back, after work one night. The burgers are made fresh to order, but the prices are very expensive. I order the Bacon Double cheeseburger, and with tax it was almost $10 just for that. If you add fries and a drink, this becomes a very expensive fast food meal. You can get a restuarant meal for this price. I will say the burger had a great taste and was juicy at least. I ordered mine "All the way", which contained all the popular condiments. Their fries were just average. Its pretty cool that they throw in the bag extra fries on top of your order amount, so it's like you are getting 1.5x the amount of fries. No need to order a large fries, as the small fries will be alot to consume. While you wait for your order, their is free peanuts for you to snack on before or during your meal. My husband and I stop for dinner on August 2nd,2018 at this five guys .I got a single cheese burger with pickles, cooked onions and a vanilla shake. My husband had a double cheese burger with green peppers ,grilled onions and a strawberry shake. We shared the regular fries and it was very yummy until the next morning, we both woke up with a pounding head ache as if we had gone drinking the entire night. Please take caution if this happens to you. One of THE most repulsive burgers I have ever eaten... and this is why: I stopped here right after getting off the light rail from work for 2 burgers at around 8:45pm. First of all, there were 4 guys horsing around behind the counter, really talking extreme ghetto, cursing, just to the most extreme unprofessional behavior behind the counter of an eatery. I knew I should have bolted right there and then, but NO, I was so overcome with hunger and lust for a good burger I just went ahead and placed my order. About 5 mins later get my order and leave. Outside, with overwhelming enthusiasm to sink my teeth into my meal I open the wrapper, bite into my 1st burger, start to chew and immediately get the sensation of chewing "something else" along with the meat and bun. I've been holding off on eating at 5 Guys for quite a while because of trying to avoid eating a whole load of grease which their burgers used to be known for but , lo and behold , I was served the most dried out unappetizing burger patties I've ever eaten in my life! Dry, dry, dry! How did they manage to do that to supposedly fresh meat? And, as another reviewer also mentioned, the floor tiles have an extremely slippery surface. It was a rainy day today so I was very cautiously trying to avoid slipping and falling when I realized how slick those tiles were. Last but not least, the prices are ridiculously high: 2 bacon burgers & a large order of fries came to $23!! We didn't even have any beverages with that! Never again, 5 Guys! OK this is a chain fast food restaurant, big deal, so what, get over it. This chain is highly regarded for its old school burgers and tasty browned fries.
