Today Yesenia V. Took my order at Drive through nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. I ordered 2 plates and 2 refreshers, for myself and my younger sister. Yesenia let me know it would be a wait for the Honey Sesame and Sweet-fire. She asked me to park and wait and they would bring out the food. So I did, there was little to no one inside and the drive-through was empty I proceeded to wait (20 minutes) seeing people go in and leaving moments later. Then someone else ordered at the drive-through and they were also asked to wait, as they proceeded to park next to me. 10 minutes later they brought out their food. Deciding to go check inside and ask about my order it seemed it was already bagged and ready. Noticing she shared a knowing smile with one of her coworkers and proceeded to laugh. As she brought it to the front of the register. Did they have me wait on purpose? Would I have received my food at all if I hadn't walked inside? I waited a total of 32 minutes for what seemed to be an order that was already bagged and ready. On a good note they did fill the plates a good amount. read more

This location is very clean and the staff were friendly and professional. I had orange chicken and chow mein along with cheese wontons. Everything tasted good. Everything tastes just like any other panda express, so there are no surprises. Plenty of parking out front. read more

I don't remember how long ago it was that I went to Panda Express Ammon but the service, especially the service staff, was rude and totally impatient. On that occasion I promised I would never go back there again no matter what. Well, my wife has been ill for quite awhile and wanted me to pick up some Chinese food. I swallowed my pride and called home from there and asked what she wanted. Had it not been for an employee, Symphonee Y, it could have been a disaster. That young lady was absolutely perfectly customer service oriented. I have a hearing problem and trying to speak with my wife over a cell phone is generally a disaster. Symphonee was patient and helped me anyway she could. My guess is Symphonee is maybe 16 or 17. I provide that information from a man that at one time hired and fired employees of multiple ages. If I were going back into business, irrespective of what it was, I would want a cadre of Symphonees to be totally successful. I viewed the rest of the people working there and each seemed to be on task and professional performing their duties. I doubt the manager today was the same one as I first encountered. My wife and I enjoy eating at Panda Express; it's one of our favorite places to eat. However, our experience with this particular location has been lousy at best. Of the past three times we ordered food here, we have received a wrong order twice and have had food missing our last visit. After the rave reviews I've heard about this place, I thought I'd give it a try. Now, you have to understand, I know a thing or two about Chinese food. My best friend had a foreign exchange student from China staying with her family, and she cooked for all of us several times per week. It, Was. Amazing. This food is not amazing. Most of the time their breaded, fried items are more chewy than crunchy, and the meat is always dry. I was severely disappointed in the quality of the food, especially considering how much my other friend raved about it. But, I guess that's what I get for having high expectations, and for not realizing that this was a fast food chain. Shame on me. read more

Typical Panda Express. You can get 1 entree and 1 side, 2 entrees and 1 side, or 3 entrees and 1 side. I went for the 2/1. But, I absolutely COULD NOT DECIDE between chow mein or fried rice. The cheerful food server said "you can do half and half, no extra charge." Wow. So, I got the half and half. It worked! But I do have a sneaking suspicion that the food server offered the half/half as a way to get me to the check out stand quicker, not that it was crowded, there were a few people eating and I was the only one in line, but it was 11:30, perhaps she was anticipating a big rush. On the other hand, the Drive Thru was doing a brisk business with a bit of a line.... The had a honey walnut shrimp entree, I was offered a sample. It is DELICIOUS! But it cost, I think... $1.75 extra as an entree, so I passed. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Beijing Beef. The Kung Pao was spicy, needed water after every bite. (I like it that way). The Beijing Beef, well, I want to say "where's the BEEF?" as it tasted more like chicken or pork! But it was good. And again, I liked the half/half option on chow mein and fried rice. Waited at the drive through for about 7 minutes waiting to be served and no service. Place says they open at 10 am but judging on their lack of service I guess they dont open until whenever the hell they want to. When I got to this restaurant, I was immediately told that they were completely out of orange chicken, my go to order a Panda Express restaurants. I ordered the teriyaki chicken instead and when I got home, I noticed that the teriyaki chicken was incredibly over cooked and the chow mein was old, as if it had been laying out for an hour. Every time my wife goes here she buys enough for the family but we end up with enough for maybe one person. They don't fill up the plates and what's in the plates has no meat so unless you like cabbage and celery your going to leave hungry. My wife has vowed to never go here again. My kids love the Orange Chicken and Fried Rice. It's all we get here. Yes, it's fast food (though it is always a really long wait in the drive through) but you have to admit there is something about that Orange Chicken flavor. The chicken pieces are breaded, and chewy, and sometimes you get a chunk without any meat in it at all! But it's still a good meal for a once in a while treat on family night or whatever. It's on the expensive side though, for what you get, so we really don't go here that often. Cheaper to get the kids a pizza from Little Caesars and faster, too. But we mix it up every once in a while and bring home a Family Feast from Panda & they go bananas. I can't eat it anymore due to the breaded stuff, but my husband still enjoys a big plateful and leftovers the next day. read more

I work for an Internet marketing company here in town and every Wednesday we order lunch for the team. Today, we asked that our order be delivered by noon. We gave them plenty of time to prepare in advance. At 12:10 we called to see if the delivery driver had gotten lost. They told us that our order had been "misplaced" and was going to be at our office by 12:30pm. The food did not arrive until 12:55pm. I would not recommend you hire Panda Express for lunch delivery based on my personal experience. read more

Considering panda is a fast food chain, they're pretty alright. The service is usually quick and the food is hot and relatively fresh. I like the teriyaki chicken and the sweet fire chicken. I've had better Chinese food, but if you're in a hurry and can't stand the thought of another burger they're a good option read more

The food was cooked perfectly. The hardest thing about this restaurant is what to choose from. The service staff offered a sample and so i chose to sample the fire chicken. It tasted very good, but i stuck to the orange chicken. The temperature was hot, the sauce was the perfect amount and the chicken itself was succulent and tender. I also ordered vegtables were steamed and not soggy. My dish did not require any extra seasoning. Alicia was nice and greeted me with a smile. Jenna was the server who filled our plates made sure the order was accurate and ample, which is one thing i really appreciate about this restaurant, are the generous portions. Jenna was also very friendly and helpful; she demonstrated excellent customer service. I will definitely return and also reccomend it to others. read more

Every single time I have gone at a time that might be a little before dinner or a little after lunch the food has been stale and old. This has happened many times to me. I am upset with this Panda Express. I grew up loving it when I would go to fairs or the mall in Boise and what not. But when this opened, it wasn't that great at all. And I came to also give my friend support since he worked there. He ended up quiting himself because it wasn't that great. The service was bad. We felt very rushed. I know its a "fast food" type but we didn't even really have time to decide what we wanted since they were pretty much glaring at us. The food wasn't that fresh either. I went in around 12 for lunch so you would think it was fresh but...no. Their spring rolls tasted old and like it was ordered online or something! The rice was meh. I love that I can get Half chow mein and half veggies as my side, which gives enough chow mein for my 4 year old's entire meal and then leaves the veggies and two entrees for me. I have been waiting for the past four years for Panda Express to come to Idaho. I was so happy when they built this in Idaho Falls that I was one of the first people they served on the day they opened. I have since been here a couple of times, and the quality of the food seems consistent. Strangely, it is some of the better Chinese you can get in the region, which speaks volumes to how bad the Chinese food in Idaho can be. Staff kept my credit card when we went through the drive thru. It took me about 3 hours to search and realize to call Panda. They said they had it. No apologies over the phone. I spent a half hour to get there. I talked with the manager. She grabbed the card and handed it to me and said "Here you go." No apology in person. I then asked "What are you going to do to make me want to come back here again?" She said sarcastically, "What am I going to do? I can give you some coupons." Great, they want me to spend even more money here while I am apparently upset. "I will not be coming here again," I replied. After I said that, I finally received an apology. For a manager who receives $40k+ a year, I was disappointed. It was a mistake by an employee, I understand that. Please teach this store about opportunity cost and communication skills. I was craving broccoli and steamed vegetables, when I got there they didn't look as fresh as I would like. Not that they were bad but I was really craving freshly steamed vegetables. So I asked them if they had some fresher ones and they were super happy and offered to get me some freshly cooked ones. I love how they are always so eager to make whatever the customer wants and do it with a smile. We just got out of the hospital and this was such a treat. The food hit the spot and was so delicious.
