On November 13, I arrived at the pickup location (9831 NW 58th St, Doral, FL 33178) and the manager, Romel, informed me that they did not have the vehicle available. He even mentioned that Enterprise does this all the time--that they offer vehicles they don't actually have available just to secure the customer. Instead, he offered me a Toyota Camry (sedan) and assured me that once I arrived in Nashville, I could go to any Enterprise location and switch the car for a van. I repeatedly asked him to confirm that this was truly possible, and he promised that everything would be fine. This is where the entire nightmare began. When we arrived in Nashville, the Enterprise team at the BNA Airport told us that they were not allowed to make any vehicle changes. They even said they didn't understand why the Miami location told us that such a switch was possible. The airport staff then redirected us to another Enterprise location at 3500 Charlotte Ave, but once we arrived, we received the exact same response--they could not switch the vehicle, and they didn't understand why Miami provided that information. Since it was the high-demand week prior to Thanksgiving, there were no SUVs or vans available anywhere. We called the Miami manager, and he simply told us there was nothing he could do, and that he could offer a full refund for the reservation and "take care of the hotels." We were supposed to return to Miami in a van on Monday the 16th and drop it off on the 17th, but because of this situation, we were left with no solution at all. We felt scammed. Nashville's Enterprise advised us to cancel the Miami contract so we could get a refund and rent a new vehicle, while the Miami location insisted there was nothing they could do. We practically lost our entire trip, had to extend our stay three more nights, paid additional hotel and food costs, and had no one who could resolve the situation. In the end, we had to rent a van from Sixt at the airport, paying an overpriced last-minute rate, and return to Miami that way. Once back in Miami, we went to the Doral Enterprise store, spoke to the same manager, and after apologizing, he said he would "ask" if he could issue a refund. Nothing happened. We called almost every day asking for him, and his colleague repeatedly told us, "He's busy, he can't get to the phone, he will call you back." He never did. Honestly, this was an embarrassing and extremely frustrating situation. As I mentioned, we truly felt scammed and I lost significant time and money because of this. I kindly request that this case be escalated to a higher corporate representative to properly address what happened and to prevent other customers from going through the same experience.

I had called the day of, 3 times, to make sure I'd have someone to drop me off at the body shop even though I'd be coming a bit late. Everyone I called they said it would be no issue and they'd have someone here for me. So when I arrived, like I had told them, before they closed, they refused to take me to the body shop, even though it had been confirmed 3 times over. I do not suggest this company to anyone.

Drove it straight to Key West Airport. Glorious. Handed it over the same day. The return attendant told me, "Just leave the keys in the car." Sounds like a solid plan for a company that rents hundreds of thousands of vehicles. What could possibly go wrong with that? Took a photo of the car. Took a photo of the spot. Thought I was done. Plot twist: The next day, National channels the energy of an overzealous ex. I get two phone calls, a text, an email, and even a notification in the app, all dramatically declaring that the car is overdue. (Honestly, I haven't been pursued this aggressively since high school.) I call their 800 number. They tell me the car is returned in their system... but, oopsie, the local office and app just haven't caught up. "It'll update soon." Comforting. The following day, Miami calls me again, insisting the car is still out gallivanting around Florida like it's on spring break. I explain (again) what happened. Their theory? The Key West office is "running behind." Ah, yes. The ol' "we're too busy to check if a literal car has been returned" excuse. More calls. Another complaint. A case escalated. Two days later, on June 7th, I finally receive a receipt confirming that the car is no longer missing. No apology. No explanation. No acknowledgment that they could've maybe, I don't know, used GPS to locate their own vehicle? I mean, if Domino's can track my pizza's every move, what's National's excuse? All in all, a magical experience--if your definition of "magic" includes gaslighting, suspense, and mild heart palpitations. I won't be using National again, but I will treasure this experience forever. Just like the time I accidentally signed up for a timeshare presentation in Cancun.

AND, the self-serve check in kiosks were all "out of service". They had to make announcements to everyone in line, that they would not be able to accommodate anyone walking up trying to reserve a car, and that they would only honor the existing reservations previously booked. We had an existing reservation for an intermediate car -- and they said they didn't have that available. So we could either wait until someone else turned in an intermediate car (which they could not guarantee when that time would be), or to downgrade to a compact and they could not adjust for the price difference.

We were given a quoted price and then they raised the price since he's 21 Even when the price was well established. The employee was not only rude but he tried to change the price 3 times to get more money out of us. I then decided I would go ahead and rent the car myself but they wouldn't allow me to use our joint credit card that I am on myself but since it has my partner's name was on the card first they wouldn't allow not allow me to use the credit card with my license. They did everything to squeeze every penny out of us. We decided to leave and instead uber for almost our entire trip. I talked to a few other car rental places with more reasonable prices but still outrageous. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with this scam. Something that was supposed to help Us with our special stay in South Beach turned it into an unnecessary hassle and nightmare.

How can anyone think this is reasonable and defend themselves with a straight face? I also showed these pictures to two separate body shops which told me it would cost tops $500. It's nice of them to claim that they did nothing wrong while trying to make me sound like I am being unreasonable. Out of their own negligence they have caused this situation -- the sheer defensiveness of this response is astounding. To make it clear, there is nothing wrong with paying for damages, in fact that is what I have been trying to do and make easy for them but it is simply fraud and blackmail to do this to your customers. You can't be charging everything else to me so that you can make your car like new and sell it at auction. To be fair to them, they are only writing this to save their image to the public but the following has been communicated in private: "As per our conversation, i already communicated Alternative Claims that it will be a revised estimate. I also spoke with the manager from the body shop and He will be working on it today or early tomorrow. I will let you know once he concludes with the revision. Have a great day!" If you make a mistake, you have to admit it not just in private but to everyone else. Lastly, here is the last message from Diana in private 8 days ago. I only wish that they can continue the process in good faith as I do not find the message that was written here in good faith. "the estimate was revised, corrected, and sent to Alternative Claims to continue with the process. Please contact them directly to get all the information you need for your insurance. If you received an email from them, please use that contact information because it should have the name of the person who is handling this claim. Have a great day!" The claims company have not contacted me regarding any updated list of damages. I am turning over all this to my insurance and let God deal with them. I do not wish to get into a protracted legal dispute and hope the matter will be resolved fairly and with justice. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Please see attached photos for itemized bill. These people are Frauds. They need to go to jail. Tried to bill me $5,293.75 for a small dent on the back of the car. I kid you not. For a small dent around the side of a human palm at the right back bumper of the car. Talked to an auto shop guy and he told me this job would have been $300 at most. I made a dent when I reversed (very slowly I need to add) into a barricade I couldn't see from the side mirror and rear camera at a gas station. The bill includes changing the tire, door repair, and so on, I kid you not. See the pics. Because Hector was so nice when I rented the car and I was in a rush to catch my flight I trusted these guys and didn't take a photo. I even chased after them via multiple emails and calls across the country to try to help them resolve this issue quickly. To my shock, I landed a bill for $5000?! It's a total joke and travesty. All communication is now being made public and submitted to the relevant parties. The manager Diana does not pick up the phone, does not return calls. Luis (not Jose) the other staff member is similarly irresponsible and does not call customers when he promises to. These people do not reply emails, do not read their emails. They want your money, that's it. Hector is nice but when I told him about this, told me "Insurance is paying" FRAUDS! then stopped responding to my messages and said "Diana is the manager". Keeps asking for nice reviews on Yelp.... All the good reviews come from this sleazy asking for reviews without actually being good at what they do. See attached pics for evidence on the fraudulent bill and other relevant docs. These people need to go to jail. I should have stuck with a large and reputable company. Fortunately I have all the receipts so your bad deeds and schemes to cheat honest people and insurance companies are coming to light. TO the manager and owners: you will get what you deserve.     The HERTZ located on 7401 sw 40 st doesn't have a YELP so this is the closest one i found…read more my fiancé made a reservation with the store manager Jessica yesterday and she advised they had cars readily available. he called in after speaking with her to ask if they accepted debit cards and the representative on the phone asked for his information to look up his reservation to tell him they have no available cars??? the rep said he would call us back and when he did he said they handled it, to come on in. we went in and there was an issue with the credit card so we left because they closed at 6pm and it was around 6:10pm and we didn't want to hold them up - which we SHOULD HAVE!!! we told them we would be back in the am to get the car. I dropped him off at 7:30am this morning so he was there before they opened, they started the process and tell him they don't have any cars available because the car they were going to lend him had some kind of a problem, when he asked why they were going to give it to him yesterday if the car had a problem, they didn't say much other than they couldn't let him take the car. from 8 am he finally got a car at 10am because some one dropped it off. my fiancé rented this car to go see his family in Tampa (a 3-4 hour drive) on his ONE DAY OFF from work because they flew in from California and his grandfather is sick !!! Because of this DISGRACE of a company he wasted 2 hours of his time and all they could do was "apologize" and when he asked for an extension of 30 min on returning the car, can you believe they told him they would charge him an EXTRA DAY and they didn't even offer and kind of a discount for THEIR mistake! if you had no cars then YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID THAT SO WE COULD HAVE GONE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
