Very stress free and friendly environment, they do a great job cleaning and pampering them. We have 2 dogs that go in together, Saint Bernard is 135 lbs, the Golden Retriever is 105, both are very hairy and very strong, Gentle Giants. She takes them at the same time and they love it. All other grooming places, they fight with us and groomers to go in. read more

Amazing place. They bath and groom both dogs and cats! It's located in downtown Rahway, with amazing restaurant and tons of parking nearby. I recommend making an appointment instead of walking in, since I believe there are only 2-3 people (?) working there. Pampered Paws has my highest recommendation! read more

Book with Karim & you won't regret it! I was looking to book an appointment for my dog, and was told there aren't any appointments for 2 weeks. I agreed and took the booking. Less than 24 hours before the appointment I received a text saying my appointment needed to be canceled due to a family emergency and they'd be reaching out to reschedule. I waited so long & needed her to get a haircut so I started making phone calls with shops from Google. I called 2 and they were listed as opened but they didn't answer the phone. I called Pampered Paws & explained the situation & Karim said "if you can get here soon, I'll be able to take her". I said I'll be there in less than 30. I dropped my dog off and she was super kind! Not even an hour later she called & said my dog was ready! The service was amazing! My dog was super happy &, she came out smelling GREAT! It's been a while since I've been happy with her haircuts, I've always just felt "ok, because she has a cut". This this will definitely be her new salon! Oh did I mention, it was her birthday! Karim had my girl looking cute for her 10th birthday!! read more

Pampered Paws - Pet Groomers Near Me - Rahway, New Jersey

I was referred to pampered paws when Saige was a puppy. In the beginning every time I took him to Petsmart they would bring him back out with complaints and wouldn't cut his hair. My dog walker referred me to Karim, when I called her and told her the problem. She said "he is just a puppy, bring him here we will work with him!" You don't know how that made me feel, I have been a loyal customer three years later! I'm always worried when I drop him off, and she always reassures me that he does amazing! I love pampered paws, and I love Karim for how she treats my baby! read more

I was encouraged by the other reviews that this place was amazing. However, It fell short in many ways. I was assured my dog would have a "full groom" including her coat thinned. I have a border collie so her coat is very thick, and heavy. Upon arrival I asked what the "full groom" entailed, they rattled off a bunch of different things. They said it would take about an hour to do all of the things included in the package. When I dropped her off they said she was next in line. They called me less than an hour later to say she was ready. When I got there 45 minutes later to pick her up she was scared out of her mind, she ran right past me and literally tried to escape. I asked the woman at the desk what exactly they did and she said a few things, I asked if they cut her hair - no, I asked if her hair had been thinned out - no. The woman I left my dog with promised it was going to get done. When I mentioned that the woman at the desk said "oh yeah she did that." I then asked if they had a list of services to take with me, they don't, her response was "you have to ask." I gave her my card to pay and she typed it into her phone, odd and unnerving, but I guess thats their best practice. I finally got my dog in the car, and she was bleeding everywhere, I did not realize until she bled all over my white seats. (Remember, I got there 45 minutes after they called me to pick her up. She was still bleeding at this point)Once I got her home i realized that they basically just gave her a bath. I had to brush clumps of hair out of her coat. Frustrated, I called to ask what they did for her and they listed a bunch of different things - when I told the person on the phone I had to brush her, he told me that "I could brush her all day and hair would still come out." I will not be returning, it was an unprofessional and unpleasant experience. read more

My 2 60 pounders love going there, for their spa treatment. Staff is friendly, especially Donnamarie, and the space is so clean. One is a lab mix and the other is a white, hairy, shedding beast, so they go in for their quarterly shave and it's no big deal! Cannot recommend them enough! read more

5 Stars all the way. I brought my puppy Shiba Inu here twice so far and the attention and care the Pampered Paws staff provides is excellent. My puppy is not the biggest fan of having her nails clipped or being bathed and can be a bit 'difficult.' The staff were beyond patient with her and did a wonderful job calming her down and taking care of her. I highly recommend Pampered Paws to anyone looking to have their pet groomed! read more

I have taken my dog, Ladybug here 2 or 3 years now. Ladybug is a senior, big girl. St Bernard/Pittie mix. Karin, the owner and doggy stylist, is the BEST... She not only makes Ladybug comfy and beautiful (she gets bathed, and shaved down for the summer), but she and her staff are very attentive to Ladybug's special needs. As she's 13yrs old and has bad arthritis, Karin and staff make sure even my big girl doesnt hurt when being lifted and bathed, etc. I appreciate them very much!! And they make Ladybug look and smell AWESOME!!!! read more

My dog JJ was always a nervous wreck when he had to go to the groomer, that was until he met Karim at pampered paws! The minute he sees her he jumps out of my arms and into hers. The girl here was very patient with my puppies and it was a very laid back experience. I have 2 fiesty shih-tzu puppies that like to bark and intimidate others upon sight, but are very sweet once you get to know them. They had fun running around the shop after their puppy cuts and it seemed like they had a nice time. Overall a good job and a cute shop. read more

I LOVE this groomer!! She's so sweet and my shih-tzu's cut came out so nice! The place decorated really nice and looks very clean. The owner is a sweetheart and really cares about animals as she always has her own dog there with her which is a doll! I would highly highly recommend this place! read more

Whe I was looking for a groomer for my Welsh Corgi I was concerned that all the groomers I spoke with in the area didn't allow you to stay with your dog. My dog had never been groomed before and I was concerned that he would be anxious without me there (plus I wanted to make sure the groomer was doing a good job!). I found Pampered Paws on Yelp and the owner said it was fine if I stayed, They bathed him, groomed him, cleaned his ears and clipped his claws all while I waited. He came out looking like a show dog and the staff there was so excellent with him. More groomers should function like Pampered Paws, what an absolutely fantastic experience! And, their prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!!! read more

Karin takes such good care of our coonhound girl, Salma. After trying out so many "just ok" groomers in the area, I can't rave about how happy we are we found this shop. Salma doesn't like the tub in the slightest and she's skiddish with new places and sounds (she's a rescue after all), but she's always so happy to go and pay Karin a visit. She always smells so good and her tail is wagging like a nut when we pick her up too! read more

One word for our first experience with grooming at Pampered Paws = IMPRESSED! My standard poodle, Beau, grew up in NYC with me, and I took him to two skilled groomers. After moving out to Rahway, I've been concerned about finding another quality groomer, and today's results exceeded my expectations. What top notch grooming! Beau left Pampered Paws this afternoon happy and looking rather fabulous! read more

I had a grooming place in Hoboken for 2.5 years so it was extremely hard for us so make the switch when we moved to Rahway. I came to check the place out and speak to the owner before I brought my pup. She was really friendly and talkative. She let me check the place out. It's really clean and has a good vibe to it. I brought my pup there the next day. I have a shih tzu, very calm mannered. The cut took an hour and half. Gizmo got washed and then cut. I came in after an hour. She didn't mind me staying and watching the end of his cut. Which was nice because a lot of people won't let you stay and watch your dog get cut. Everything total was 53 bucks. Then I gave her a 20$ tip because she really did such a great job. I think he name was Karin...? Anyway, gizmo and I are going back soon. Thanks again. read more

Took my dog to be groomed at Pampered Paws today for the first time and I am so pleased with the results. The groomer was so friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted. The prices were reasonable and my dog was groomed in 45 minutes which I thought was amazing ! I've been to several groomers in the area and this is by far the best one ! read more

The only groomer I trust for my Poodle. Love the atmosphere, price and personable touch.

Went there for the first time after seeing all the great reviews. The haircut was fine and the place was clean, however, two weeks later I took large pieces of cotton out of both my Pomeranian's ears. I called the groomer to ask if they put cotton in the dogs ears for grooming. She said yes and when I explained that I believed they had forgotten to remove the cotton from my dog's ears, she unremorsefully asked whether or not my dog had an ear infection. Of course, he didn't have one because the cotton was there to prevent that. The real issue was that they hadn't been removed after the grooming. My dog did his usual big happy dance after we had removed the cotton as if we removed a cone from his neck that had been on for two weeks. He was obviously uncomfortable not having his usual auditory senses for so long. I believe this is an unacceptable mistake from a dog groomer and after having received such poor customer service, I would not recommend this place to a friend or loved one. read more

Tried this business for the first time today after reading the great reviews...I have had horrible experiences with PetCo, Petsmart etc so I was hesitant to try another grooming place....the staff and owner was so friendly and the place was very clean. My two boys came out looking and smelling amazing. I will definitely return! read more

Love this groomer. Took our Maine Coon there for a major grooming,,he is very difficult for us to comb, and he has biten groomers. This place handled him, in a very sweet manner, muzzled him, and made him gorgeous! He left with a lion cut and a ticked off attitude, but he looked better, and we know he felt better. Priced just right, and again, very loving, gentle staff. You can stay there and wait for your pooch/kitty to be done. Going back in a week or so for holiday touch up...would highly reccomend this place!! read more

Pamper paws are the best!! I have a Shepard who weighs in at 120 pounds and is afraid of water. I took him everywhere no one was able to groom him until I meet kerin. She is wonderful with Sammy.
