This place has some real good pizza! The price is super affordable and the staff is friendly. I had the steak pizza with the banana peppers. I have never had this type of pizza before and it was awesome. It filled me up for the whole day. The menu is huge and I wish I had more time in the area to try more items but for lunch time I can say this place hits the spot! Next time I'm in town I'm having the Cheese Steak sandwich. read more

Originally from NY whenever I try a new pizza joint I like to get a regular and a pepperoni, I truly believe I'll know if I like your specialties based on that! It had crunch, a soft mid crunch be it, and melted cheese and all that a pizza is. Meaning it tasted like a 2.50$ manhattan pizza, and that a good thing believe it or not. Chicken Parm and sauce on pasta were okay. They add a lot of sauce onto pasta which is great. Chicken was tough. Bread needed more heating. Caesar dressing for side salad had little kick to it which was different and good. Hopefully they get fountain fixed. Surprised they don't have Caesar salad on menu. Funnel cake fries AMAZING. Restaurant is nice and it's clean, has good atmosphere. read more

I don't understand The reviews that mention "good" or "friendly" service. The guy behind the counter is a total goon. I don't know that I've ever had worse service. The place is very close to my house so I decided to give it a try and ordered a pizza steak online. When I got back home, I opened it and it was a regular cheesesteak not a pizza steak, but I was already home so I ate it and it was ok. The next night, wife and kids were out of town so I decided to try again And put another online order in for a pizza steak. This time I checked before I left the place and, sure enough, a regular cheesesteak. The guy behind the counter takes my cheesesteak, without a single word, puts some sauce on it, some mozzarella cheese and puts it back in the oven. Again, doesn't say a word to me and makes me wait for 10 minutes while It cooked in the oven with the provolone on the bottom from the initial order and then mozzarella on top. Wtf? When it's done, he pushes it across the counter at me and just says, "pizza steak," while looking away. Are you kidding me!?! I mean, it's a greasy little Dump in a strip mall but sometimes those places are the best. Not this one. Nasty little place. read more

We were in Allentown last weekend for a softball tournament (really Steve? YOU and your daughter at a softball tournament??) and we had a long break between our second and third games...enough time to run out for some dinner. We didn't want to go too far and this nice little strip mall near the park seemed like a perfect stop...especially when we saw there was a pizza place and that's what was calling the girls' names. So we stop in at Palumbo's and my concern starts when I walk in the door and I see that they have very few pies up for slices. Ok, we'll live, and we'll just order a pie... Ordered a half mushroom and sausage - half plain pie. Hit the bathroom and then had more concerns...the restrooms at the softball field were cleaner I think...it wasn't filthy, but it certainly didn't make me enthusiastic about the cleanliness of the rest of the joint (not saying the place was dirty...just the bathroom). Anyway, the one pie and five drinks cost us $25. The pie arrived after about 20 minutes and I could tell right away that it wasn't cooked right. Yes, yes, yes, the pizza snob arrived , but I was right. I grabbed my first slice and the center of the pie was a bit underdone-it was cooked, it wasn't soggy, but it was just undercooked and not a crispy crust. The flavor of the pizza wasn't bad, decent sausage, great mushrooms. Crust was a little bland, and the cheese was tasty, but also a little underdone in spots. Almost like the oven wasn't heating evenly. I'd probably give the place three stars, but the undercooked pie (solid three stars on the taste), the less than clean restroom, the tiny booths and the fact that we had to bus our own table when there were three guys behind the counter and two weren't doing anything all add up to a two star meal. I'm sure I'll be back in this area for another softball tournament at some point...maybe I'll stop in and give them another shot. read more

Using the Slice app, family tried out a Supreme and a Pineapple pizza. Order was delivered quickly and was delicious.

I just had food delivered, I ordered online. The driver asked me how much the tip was as soon as he handed me the food, I told him I just clicked to 15% on the online ordering. He called me 10 minutes later telling me if i wasn't going to tip I could just be a man about it and tell him. I told him I hit the 15% on the order so i I don't know if it went through or not as the order is not showing on my account at all yet. And I couldn't see anything as when I asked him for a receipt or anything I needed to sign he told me he doesn't run the computer orders. And when the driver called complaining about no tip he told me i could eat shit and die. Got to love the customer service there. I would give negative stars if possible. The delivery driver alone would keep me from ever ordering again or recommending the place. For the record I did click the 15% on the total, I guess I will see tomorrow when my account updates. But I didnt get the extra ranch I ordered and paid for, no napkins nothing most places put in an order going to a hotel. read more

If I could give them no stars that would be perfect. I thought I would give the a try again because I wrote a review last year and it wasn't good. Today I ordered 1 cheese steak and 2 chicken cheese steak and onion rings, was told an hour wait. An hour and 45 mins later the sandwiches arrived cold and no onion rings. All they care about is taking orders and getting their money. The chicken cheese steak hardly had any meat in them and I know chicken is cheap because I get it from B and M. Also the delivery person was SO RUDE, I told him after calling them 3 times that my food better not be soggy and he truly said I just left there 15 mins ago. I called almost 30 mins ago and was told he was in route. Tried signing my slip and his pen didn't work and he grabbed the recipe and said I don't have time for this who cares. read more

I tried a Palumbos Pizza from the Bartonville store a while back and the recipe wasn't the same as the ShopRite store I didn't think it was as good. I just called to order a pizza at the Bartonsville store because the East Stroudsburg store is not open. The owner of the Bartonsville store REFUSED TO TAKE MY ORDER BECAUSE OF MY REVIEW! WHAT? I have been ordering from Palumbo's for many years. I have ordered via the phone, SLICE and off their website in the past. This time I ordered from their website and had the worst experience I have ever had. The order was delivered over 1 hour after it was ordered, missing most of the food (missing cheese steak, chicken cheese steak, bacon cheese burger, onion ring and Pierogies), not sure how that happened. The driver said he would be right back. I called and talked to the store to make sure that the 2nd trip out would be complete. They assured me that it would be corrected. The driver came back and I was still missing a cheese steak. I called the store again and voiced my displeasure with the manager and he made excuses, saying "we encourage everyone to call in their orders as they have issues with online orders" he also said they were very busy, but he would have the chef make the sandwich and get it right out to me. The manager made no effort to compensate me for the all issues. Finally over 2 hours and 3 trips by the driver we had all our food. read more

Visited here yesterday. Large pizza half plain half pepperoni. Walked in and big guy at the counter wasn't friendly at all. As he took my order he never looked at me and gave me the impression I was waisting his time. I thanked him for taking my order and this guy has no business class. Came back in within 15 minutes to pick up and guessed who helped me? You got it! Mr. Arrogance. Again rude and zero manners. Got the pizza home and what a joke. The pizza wasn't even cut. For someone with diabetes, pizza can kill you as dead as hard drugs - it just takes longer. Last night, for the first time in months, I succumbed to all the pizza ads and ordered a medium pie from a local pizzeria about five minutes away from my apartment. Why a local pizzeria rather than a major chain franchisee? It was simple. Fast food chains in the Lehigh Valley are among the worst places in which I've ever eaten, whether in Europe or the U.S. Often, they give new meaning to the phrase "lowest common denominator." My order was for a thin crust medium pie with light sauce, sliced tomatoes and sausage. I was told my order would arrive "within an hour." While I thought that was a rather long time for early on a Tuesday evening but I didn't protest. I needed a pizza jolt! As the delivery hour grew closer, I became impatient and was barely able to control my cravings. Would I choke to death if I tried to gulp down an entire slice? Discretion prevailed and I decided not to try; instead I would savor every bite. I waited; and waited, and waited. After an hour and a half I called the pizzeria. Perhaps I was impatient, but the last time I tried to order pizza I did so online and after a lengthy and frightening battle with the Papa John's website I ordered; waited more than an hour then called - only to be told Papa had no record of my order! I called the pizzeria and was told my order was enroute, but the driver had other orders to deliver before mine. That was truly comforting - NOT! Minutes later my pizza arrived, accompanied by one of the most rude delivery persons I've ever encountered. He walked up to me standing in my open doorway: That will be $16.48 (I think he said). As I pulled a $20 bill out of my pocket h handed me the pizza box and yanked the cash from my hand before I could even say: "Keep the change." He then ran for the elevator without so much as a "thank you." I stepped inside, closed the door and opened the pizza. My stomach became as leaden as the cold congealed mess I beheld. While the crust was satisfactorily thin, so were the toppings. Imagine going to a deli and ordering products cut "paper thin." That was the thickness of the tomato slices and sausage. Not having anticipated needing to reheat a fresh pizza in my oven, I was forced to resort to heating individual slices in my microwave. Guess what; it was like frozen supermarket pizza at three times the price. IF, and I do mean IF, I ever order from this pizza parlor again, I'll make sure the pizza is still hot or I'll refuse it. I can't see paying top dollar for anticipation then being faced with a meal that resembles something scrounged from a dumpster! read more

Palumbo is now our local pizza and steak joint. I moved back east from Oklahoma to a place on S Johnson St,, I'm from Philly originally, and I really wanted a good cheesesteak. Palumbo does deliver that (though if you are aren't careful in ordering they put sauce on it! where are we, Pittsburgh?) The pizza is decent as well. good crust, the sauce isn't too sweet, and they don't spare the cheese. I have never had a problem with delivery, though I must admit, I live a short distance away. Any one who knows pizza knows that this is a disgrace to the pizza world. EVERYTHING I HAD WAS DISGUSTING. The calamari was a frozen fishy app for $7. The cheese pizza was cardboard Ellios is better. The cheese steak pizza was doughy and soaked in marinara sauce.. the buffalo chicken stromboli was a mouth full of salt again with a side of marinara sauce. This is our "local" pizzeria for carryout. Very nice specialty pizzas, especially the taco and cheesesteak pizzas. Sandwiches large and reasonable. Really good stromboli and knots. Often have coupons, stop by for a menu first. Nice sauce, wish the pizza dough had a little more salt. Seems to be a nice family operation, which we appreciate. read more

Palumbo's is really a great place. I'm in this area often and sometimes stop by for lunch. I've never had a bad meal from them. Their steaks and pizza are delicious. We ate at Palumbo's about 4 or 5 times, and for the most part enjoyed the pizza there, until last night. My boyfriend & I decided to stop in for a few slices and as we were eating, one of the staff members decided to shake out the carpet runners while we were eating. After he finished, he proceeded to sweep while we were quickly grabbing napkins to cover our food so dirt and dust wouldn't be kicked up into our meal. He continued to sweep right past us while we were trying to eat. I guess no one in that pizza parlor realizes how disgusting or nasty that is or how unsanitary and unhygienic that is.
