I recently used this moving company to move my belongings to a nearby storage unit. on the day of the move, they were 1 hour late and did not call to advise that they would be late so I called and was informed that the owner was busy and could not take my call. I called back about 25 minutes later the owner took my call and said that things happen and that his worker's wife had become ill. He did not provide a solution. After becoming increasingly irate he offered that it was not my fault and that he would come in his worker's place as if he was doing me a favor. On the return trip, I called to confirm and was advised that I should continue to call to confirm and make sure that they would be there on the day that I had booked then and was told that "things happen". I asked him what that meant and he said that nothing is assured I offered that is why you make an appointment to assure service. So my appointment was for 10:00 am I called he confirmed the men did not show up at the storage facility until 11:30 am. Upon return to my home while they were moving in a large chair they scratched the paint on my door and I was advised that Sammy the owner would reach out to me to talk about the damage. The next day, no call, I call Pals. Sammy began by calling me a liar and verbally abusing me stating that his men fixed the door all the while talking over me and not letting me explain as he was confused about what I was speaking about. my experience with Pal's Moving Service overall was very poor here's why; They did not show up on time the owner made excuses and could not provide reliable service and the men damaged my door I was told to buy the paint and that he would send men over to paint the door at that rate I'll just paint the door. Ridiculous. The move went well they did provide a good moving service. The problem that I had was that they were unreliable and that the owner was combative in the end and was verbally abusive. DO NOT USE! Whatever you do, do not use this company to move your things. I will share photos of their packaging and taping methods. You be the judge. Taken to court, disputed charges, and charged criminal offenses. Save yourself! This is response to the owners response to my initial review: "Yes, is observed your men moving by me at the house watch my 3 and 1 year old children, then, sure I was there! Your team moved my stuff into storage, selected a new company due to your high costs and very poor services. As everyone can see, the packaging your men did to my things were not completed by the 2nd company. Who would remove plastic wrapping and tape and retape to move out of storage. Either way, I disputed shares and my credit card company couldn't uphold due to services being rendered. Either way, we are sure to win in small claims court. Also, Home Advisor are removing them due to this issue that was proved to be a lack of care and competence on their part! Do not use!!!!! Can share much more proof if anyone would like. read more

Absolutely recommend to use this company !! Sammy was always available to answer questions and give advise. I never was pressured and all my concerns were met with a positive result. They moved a beloved piano 32 miles , the workman were extremely friendly and understanding . The piano was safely wrapped and attached into the truck for safety. They carried the piano down stairs and had to remove the legs to fit, they made sure the legs were put on perfectly as before. PALS recently moved us about 35 miles to our new home. It was a relatively small move from a 2-bedroom apartment. Sammy, the owner, returned all calls and emails quickly and answered all of my questions. The team of three showed up on schedule. They were all friendly and worked steadily, no standing around talking, no hanging on the cell phone, just working. They arrived at our new house in good time. Again, just steady working, unloading, setting up and moving furniture. They were careful with everything and I found no damage at all. In the end, Sammy showed me they had completed the work in a few hours faster than his quoted estimate and adjusted the charge immediately. THIS WAS THE NIGHTMARE MOVE FROM HELL! . The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars is because the guys did a decent job given the bad circumstance they were put in. Nobody was able to come and look at what needed to be moved to estimate so I told the dispatcher he needs to send the 26 foot truck to be safe. I was assured 3 - 5 times that they would send that truck including a few days before the move. The move was on 6/30 and was scheduled to be EARLY at 9:30AM because July 4th weekend is the busiest traffic day of the year. They did not show up until 12:30 PM because they went to the new house by mistake! They were very apologetic and I told them as long as I would be COMPLETELY moved that day, I would let it go. This is where the fun began. Things were going fine until the small 18 foot truck started to fill up. Then a ridiculous amount of time was spent arranging and rearranging the truck to try to fit my belongings. I complained to the dispatcher who was sympathetic and put me on the phone with Sam the owner who happened to be out of the country. At this point we had spent almost 5 hours on a loading that should have taken 3! I told him that much of the time was being spent trying to figure out how to fit everything in a truck that was way too small. By the way, I ordered 3 guys and they sent 6 because another truck that was supposed to be available for another job was not and they had no transportation. This should have been a great but it was a waste because at least 2 - 3 of them had nothing to do . The owner reluctantly agreed to limit the charge for the loading time to 3 hours and I VOLUNTARILY agreed to pay for 4 men even though I ordered 3 because I wanted to be fair. Now for the next problem. Because of the late arrival AND the wasted time with the truck that was too small, we got on the road at around 5PM instead of 1 PM! Needless to say we hit shore traffic but thankfully, it was not as bad as it could have been. We got down to my new house and the guys had the truck unloaded in about an hour. At this point it was around 7PM. Then the invoice comes with 7 HOURS (12:30 - 7:30). I asked Ishmael what the hell was going on. He said he spoke to the owner and that was the charge. I told him there was no way in hell I was going to pay for 7 hours after the owner , Sam, AGREED to limit the loading time to 3, it took 1.5 hours to get down to the house when it should have taken 45 minutes, etc. He got the owner on the phone who tried to debate me! "Didn't my guys work hard for you?" Yes they did, "Should they be paid?" Yes they should! "How do you expect me to pay them?" Write them a check! "You mean you want me to pay them from my own pocket?" YUP! Now there was STILL an issue with at least 20% of my belongings STILL in my old house because of the WRONG SIZE TRUCK. Sam said that he was going to send his guys back to the house to pick up the rest of the things and I would have to pay for the labor time which was fine. However, he wanted me to pay another truck fee! HUH???? IF they sent the truck they promised, there would have been only ONE truck fee and no problems! He then said he would send the guys back THAT DAY ONLY and would not charge the truck fee. The only problem was they would have been stuck in the worst traffic of the year and would not have gotten back with the stuff until midnight. I did not have the heart to do it to them even though they would have. I told the owner that we could arrange to have them get it during the week, but the owner REFUSED to do it without another truck fee of $262 because the truck costs him money to run!! Once again, it would only have been ONE TRIP if they sent the truck they promised. At this point I told him that I was willing to pay for 3 hours loading (as previously agreed), 45 minutes travel (because it was THEIR FAULT we left late and hit traffic) and 1 hour unloading (actual). I told him that was all I would pay despite his protest and he finally relented. For this guy to actually renege on the agreement to limit the loading time was unscrupulous . Despite all of this, I tipped each of the six guys $20 because they work hard for very little money. I give the guys high marks, but the ownership, dispatcher and running of the company a D-! By the way, I AM STILL MAKING TRIPS WITH MY MINIVAN TO TRY AND GET THE REST OF MY STUFF MOVED! Some of it is very heavy! read more

I have used Pals Moving Service to move my mother from her old apartment to a new one, and I'm very happy with my choice. Movers came on time, packed everything properly and safely transferred everything to my mom's new place. And what most important for me is that Pals Moving is insured company. I had to feel some paperwork with them which made me feel even better about my choice of the moving company.
