But we were in today to just casually play with friends and check out the shop. This would be a perfect place to host a birthday party and they do host them here. They were probably warned after we left that we were evil cis, because subsequent visits were completely opposite. Or does it say more about society (or our area), that you can't just be nice to random people without them thinking the worst? So after giving them many chances, we've decided no more. They don't do anything positive for the community as a whole, just "their" community. This area deserves a better comic book shop and definitely don't bring your kids in for Pokemon cards.

For the prices they charge, you can get the same book new online. The cafe in there is slow and doesn't have a very good food selection. I knew the author and title and walked up to the register to ask where I might find it, but the two employees were engaged in conversation and didn't even acknowledge my presence for at least 3 minutes. When the red-headed female employee did finally acknowledge me, it was with an irritated smirk, as if I was disturbing them. This dismissive and disrespectful behavior was repeated several times before I decided to leave. I have over 30 years experience in business ownership and retail management and this is absolutely no way to treat prospective customers. You should never make a customer wait without being acknowledged while you engage in conversation with another employee or are looking down at the register. When you do engage with a customer, you should be welcoming, friendly and polite. I see from prior reviews that I am not the only one to have experienced this kind of behavior and don't know how they've stayed in business so long with such rude employees. There are no return visits here in my future.
