If I lived in Moscow I think I may be in this lovely place everyday?! The staff were very welcoming yet allowing you to browse try on or whatever. Shoes, boots, more shoes, coats, sweaters; our group of 6 bought at least one of each of these items. The atmosphere here, the ascetics, the stuff? All arranged so well, pleasing my eyes. Less and less for guys over the years. I used to consign there a bit and they would take my stuff, but now every time I've taken any guys clothes in, they barely glance at it and tell me they don't like the brand or it is too worn, without even actually looking at the tags and without even glancing at some of the things I even brought. Should put a sign up or something that they don't take consignments from guys unless it is like a leather jacket or something. They probably have good stuff for ladies but who knows. read more

I really enjoyed shopping here and looking at all the goodies and tschotchkes they have (in addition to a pretty large selection of women's clothing and shoes). I ended up buying some shirts and a dress for under $30.00. There were lots of really nice items on the cheap. They had a beautiful pair of Frye boots,barely used, for $165.00 which is an excellent price. They don't have nearly as much in the way of mens clothing but it it still worth checking it out. I love this eclectic little shop in Moscow. I always find a treasure when I shop! The last one was a Cute green dinosaur lamp for my daughters dorm. A mix of vintage and new. Fun place to go after you have excellent Mexican food across the street:) read more

I consign and shop here but only as a last resort. The style is weird so you either find something really cool or everything is not for you. There are lots of contracted inventory items, not all donated or consigned so the deals aren't really great deals. I'd give it more stars but the employees are very snooty & almost look down on you, I never feel welcome in the store read more

This is a great consignment shop that has an excellent selection of a variety of items. It has an Urban Outfitters feel to it as they have everything from clothing to stationary and oddities. I didn't find the staff overly friendly as a matter of fact while I was trying on some shoes I felt as if they thought I might be trying to steal them. They certainly could do some work in that area! I did find some awesome deals on name brand gently used clothing at very reasonable prices, some shoes, some stationary and a couple of household items. All in all I think this store has amazing potential, but the staff could certainly step up their friendliness. read more

A really fun place to shop! I've found a few real gems! Since it's not a traditional store, it's somewhat hit or miss as far as size/style/etc. But that's also the fun! It's one of those places that you just have to check out every time you're downtown. Plus, the owners are fantastic folks, and lots of fun to talk to. You don't want to pass through Moscow without stopping by, and if you live here, check in often! Things come and go fast! read more

This place is rad. Where else can you shop for cool stuff but also get money back for cool stuff you don't need anymore? Great vinyl collection and lots of other cool vintage-ish stuff. Prices are really reasonable too. read more

This is a great store that has an excellent selection of a variety of items. I visited this store once, but I was very impressed. From this store, I bought shoes and a small bag. There were many very beautiful things at cheap prices. I liked that everything was fine and aesthetically arranged, and the workers were very friendly and helped us choose buying items. read more

I love this place. Every time I come in I find plenty of awesome stuff. There used to be a Pita Pit here--when the Storm Cellar took it over they dug down far enough to find an old wood floor, which they cleaned up and display proudly if you can display a floor. I also love that shopping here can be a self-supporting hobby when you give them your own things to sell. read more

I LOVE this boutique! There are so many interesting clothes (including brands like American Eagle, GAP, and Banana Republic) and items to look through at surprisingly great prices. The clothes here seem a lot more refined, unique, and a higher quality in general (no loose strings, frayed edges, etc.) than what you would find at Goodwill or other places. Plus, it's a great feeling to support a local business. I also have to say that it's really tough finding attractive clothing in my size (xs/0) in this area but the Storm Cellar never ceases to have a decent selection! I also love their paper goods and housewares. The paper goods are directly from other businesses, like Rifle Paper Co., so they aren't discounted like the clothes (but still very cute!). You can definitely find some unique gifts here. It's right on the corner where the Kenworthy Theatre and the Co-Op are so I highly recommend popping by, especially if you're already in the area to watch a movie, eat, or attend the farmer's market. Street parking can be tricky at busy times. Don't expect to be greeted at the door and asked if you need help finding anything by the staff. It was a bit unusual for me at first, but not too off-putting, as I don't like it when staff hover over me/push sales anyway. You also don't need to check with anyone before trying on clothes in the changing room, though they will take any unwanted clothes back/re-hang them for you. I found out from a colleague that The Storm Cellar carries Field Notes. Unfortunately, I live in Seattle and didn't have plans to go to Moscow, ID anytime soon. I emailed the store, Austin replied to me immediately and via a few emails and a photo of their selection, I was able to select the ones I wanted and place an order. Austin was VERY helpful and I'm thrilled to get some new Field Notes. I love supporting local stores so I'll definitely be visiting when I'm in the area and contacting them again to see if they get any new sets in stock. :) Thanks Austin! This is a trendy little consignment shop downtown where you can find all sorts of hipster and "so uncool it's now cool" types of clothing at fair prices. They are great when you want to sell things (as long as they like the style of it) and have surprising finds for many different items. read more

Great stuff from wall to wall and whether you are shopping for yourself or looking for a gift for someone else I feel like you can usually find something unique at the Storm Cellar. They've recently started carrying household decor (awesome terrariums, Field Note notebooks and other fun trinkets) as well as the occasional cool piece of furniture (think vintage desks). This year I even received a Christmas ornament I love that came from the here. I often also go there to resell clothes I don't need anymore. I've been putting my clothes on consignment here for a while, the last two times have been horrible. The girl that's deciding whether to accept clothes or not, seems to think everything is worn. But it's funny, majority of the clothes I've brought in have been new clothes with tags and even crotch barriers still attached if they were swim suits. The last two times, have been the same girl and her attitude matches her style... pretty ugly. I think she should probably be at the cash register or working the floor, I don't think she's fit for making clothing judgements. The items she has accepted of mine the last two times have been the few items of mine that have been EXCESSIVELY worn... funny. That's ok, i'll take my unworn ASOS, AEO, Kate Spade, Lululemon, Urban Outfitters and vintage unique finds on thredUP. read more

Great way to shop on a budget, not to mention everything in there is very unique. I feel that every rack I go through has multiple items that seem to creep their way into my arms. All of the employees are genuinely friendly and helpful. More than once they have gone out of their way to assist me.
