There's plenty of eateries and bars with live entertainment, even a gift shop. The casino itself is modern, clean, and has spotless restrooms. We started with a hearty breakfast and coffee at Pala Cafe, which was awesome. The staff here is super friendly and stepped in to help whenever we looked lost. A hotel guest even went out of her way to tell us how much she loved her room stay. Game-wise, they have a good variety from penny slots to high rollers, plus a great mix of classic machines. Like any casino, the slots are hit-or-miss; some pay out a bit, others are tight. Although there's a smoke-free area, the smell lingers so I did see some people wearing masks due to the smell. We loved the outdoor patio with umbrella tables for a quick breather. Overall, we had a fun experience and will definitely be back!

(Ugh) There is a large nonsmoking section which is where we spent a lot of time. Unlike some other casinos, they don't just chuck old machines in the section but have a good mix. And there are several self-serve beverage stations throughout the casino. My friend had never seen that feature and he now loves this casino, lol. Harrah's is only about 10 minutes away.

When I explained all of his training and then tasks they said he was not "acting like a service dog" and they said they watched footage of us waiting for a minute while they were coming and that he was "pulling on his lead" and "not patting attention" I said I take an accusation like this very seriously and that if they are truly claiming that I want all of this is writing and documentation of him "not acting like a service dog" as well as that video evidence of him not acting like a service dog. I then unfortunately had an episode due to the drama of it all to which my dog tasked and my husband stepped up and took over. They then realized they had messed up, changed their mind and said "we will allow it just this time" Absolutely ridiculous. My dog has gone through extensive training, been certified through two trainers, has passed his CGC and public access and the audacity for a security guard to say he wasn't acting like a service dog because he wasn't looking up at me every single second is ridiculous. They are not robots, he can get stepped on if not careful, he checks in every 10-15 seconds and alerts just fine. They would not show us footage of him "not acting like a service dog" which makes me think they were just lying to try and not allow us entry. I'm only writing this review so others don't feel absolutely awful since the valley view security treats people as the service dog police. I understand people abuse and lie about service animals, but it was quite obvious my dog is trained. To be questioned like a that was awful and just sad. Just be for warned you're going to be questioned like a criminal and may or may not be allowed entry with a service animal.

Parking was easy for us as we parked in the back by the casino with no issues. The main reason we went was for the pool and cabanas on Saturday. Input server Jamie was awesome. Attentive, hustler, and multitasker. She was, for sure, the hero of the day. But the staff ran out of taquitos, ran out of sprite, messed up a couple of orders that Jamie wrote down correctly. Bar line moved decently quick. Pools were clean and comfortable. Overall, good time. Casino was fun for being a California casino. I'd come back but I'd make sure to ask for the same room we had in the north tower. Prices for a room were a bit ridiculous (high) and we couldn't "modify" our reservation. There was no term or condition saying we couldn't change from 2 to 1 night. However, a band is in town and it's comic con weekend. Place was completely full. I'll probably go again at some point but, it wouldn't be my primary choice.

Room: We stayed in a Premium King room in the Dive Inn Tower. The view of the pool area was fantastic. The room was clean and I love that even though it doesn't have an actual balcony, it has a sliding glass door that opens so you can get lots of fresh air. The room rate was reasonable using the Caesar's Rewards app. Food (not including Hell's Kitchen): food options are limited. There are currently two full service restaurants that are in the process of rebranding. This leaves current food options limited to fast food, Chinese food, and pool food. There is a cafe, which we ate at once, and it also falls under the one star category. Hell's Kitchen: Definitely worth the splurge! Food and service were impeccable. We enjoyed our meal very much. (Reviewed Hell's Kitchen separately. Night life: Not a destination for night life. There was a band that played one of the nights, but it was not really our jam. Casino: As far as casinos go, it was fine. We are not gamblers, but we threw a few $$ in a video blackjack game. Casino is very smoky. Pool area: This is definitely a highlight and was the main reason for us choosing Harrah's. There is a swim up bar and a large adult only pool. Kids are allowed at the lazy river portion so that area gets super crowded. But it's a fun vibe. We appreciated that the rest of the pool area is adults only (21+) and the staff were on top of running kids out. Adequate chairs and umbrellas for shade. It was in the 90's when we were there, which was just perfect. Overall, a nice destination especially if you are wanting some R&R pool time.

Even though I somehow manage to lose almost every time I visit (the players always seem to beat me! ), I've always had a good time overall. The atmosphere is usually fun, the staff has generally been friendly, and I have to give credit where it's due--the house chow mein is phenomenal and honestly one of my favorite things to order whenever I'm there. Unfortunately, my experience on August 4th between approximately 7:30 and 8:00 PM completely changed the tone of the evening. The dealer working Table 19, Matt, was incredibly rude and came across as if he didn't want to be there. It wasn't just directed at me either--it seemed like everyone at the table noticed his attitude. You could tell by the reactions from the other players that they were just as surprised by how he was interacting with guests. As a General Manager of a restaurant, I understand better than most that customer service isn't always easy. We all have stressful days, difficult guests, and moments where we'd rather be anywhere else. Hospitality can be exhausting. But at the end of the day, whether you're serving food or dealing cards, you're still in the hospitality industry. Guests are choosing to spend their money at your business, and your attitude can completely shape their experience. I'm not expecting someone to be overly energetic or fake, but a smile, some professionalism, and basic courtesy go a long way--especially in a position where tips are part of the job. I would encourage management to review the camera footage from Table 19 during that time frame. It should give a clear picture of the interactions that took place. If possible, speaking with some of the players who were at that table may also provide valuable feedback, as it definitely didn't seem like I was the only one who felt uncomfortable with the experience. This review isn't meant to attack the casino as a whole because I've genuinely had many enjoyable visits here. It's simply disappointing when one employee's attitude overshadows what has otherwise been a place I've enjoyed coming back to. I'm giving 2 stars because I still like Ocean's Eleven overall, the food is excellent, and I've had plenty of great experiences in the past. I just hope management addresses situations like this so future guests receive the welcoming experience that keeps people coming back.

I sat at the bar and immediately I was invisible. I sat. And I sat. And I sat some more. A solid 10 minutes or more. At one point I stood up to check what was on a different TV than the one above me. Upon my return, the bartender finally acknowledged my existence and said, "Sorry, I guess I left you hanging". I then ordered a beer, which he poured right away. While I had his attention I ordered my meal. After all, I had plenty of time to look at the menu. Then the 2nd round of invisibility started. I finished my beer and was ready for another. I waited. And I waited. And I waited some more. About an additional 15 minutes. I finally caught the attention of the other bartender and ordered a 2nd beer that was never brought to me. Finally, the first guy came back, so I ordered it from him. As he was bringing it to me, I heard him tell one of the young servers, "Make sure it's medium rare". Wait, what?! That's my burger order! You're just now putting it in? WTF? Invisible indeed! Another 15 minutes went by before my burger and "frings" (fries and onion rings) arrived. I realize that the guy was keeping busy with the walk-up customers, but I was right there! Sitting right in front of him! I finished half of the burger and had a lot of rings and fries leftover and needed a to-go box. Good gawd! More waiting ensued. I finally caught a young woman as she was leaving the kitchen area and asked her for a box which she grabbed for me. Trying to get the bartender's attention for the check ended up being yet another exercise in futility. At least the burger was good (really good in fact), the fries too, the only redeeming quality of my visit. The onion rings? Meh. Straight from a bag of frozen.

---Very rude and disrespectful unprofessional employees.--/…read moreOn April 12, around 8 pm, I was in the casino area. A woman won a huge jackpot and went to the restroom. I was sitting two seats away from her, and two casino attendants were standing nearby, waiting for her to return. Out of curiosity, I approached the attendants to see what was happening and asked, "How much did she win?" smiling. The Latina girl turned around with a dirty look, , and the other, with long black hair tied up, responded with a stern face, "We don't disclose the amount," rudely and disrespectfully. Does she know how to say politely, kindly, "Sorry, ma'am, we don't disclose the amount"? Politely with respect? I am a regular customer who has been coming here for years and spends a lot of money. Her rude attitude is not acceptable in this kind of business. This isn't about policy; it's about mannerisms toward customers, which are unprofessional and unacceptable! This is a place where people come to enjoy and be entertained. Her nasty attitude needs to be corrected and trained. I reported this issue to their manager, who seems to be a distinguished African gentleman with glasses, and I hope he takes this matter seriously, reports it to management, and corrects this kind of disrespect and rudeness in this casino.

This review is specifically about the pool area, particularly the swim-up bar. The pool has become my favorite staycation spot, and I genuinely love the food, music, drinks, and overall vibe. Up until this visit, I had never had an issue with any of the staff. Unfortunately, my friend and I had a very negative experience with one of the bartenders at the swim-up bar. We sat patiently for about 35 minutes waiting to be helped. During that time, the bartender was primarily serving one side of the bar as well as guests swimming up directly to him, while our side was consistently overlooked. A nearby group even mentioned that he would be coming to our side shortly, and he confirmed that he would. However, when he finally came over, he skipped past us and helped a couple who had just swum up to the bar. My friend calmly said, "We just wanted to let you know we've been waiting for about 35 minutes." In response, he sarcastically said, "You and everybody else... feel free to go to another bar." My friend awkwardly laughed and said, "Okay, okay." What was most upsetting was that after serving another couple nearby, the bartender referred to my friend as "bitchy" while speaking to them. We were honestly shocked. It was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and offensive, especially considering my friend had spoken respectfully and calmly the entire time. I have visited Sycuan many times and have always received excellent service, which is why this experience stood out so much. I hope management addresses this situation so that other guests do not have a similar experience. The bartender's name was Martin. I still love Sycuan and will continue visiting, but I wanted to share this experience because it did not reflect the level of hospitality I've come to expect from this resort.

I thought it was odd since it had time slots for the cabana, I booked 1 pm that was the only one available for that day. We arrive to the casino early to hit the tables. I went up to see if we could check in early for the day beds around 12:15. Upon arrival Anthony was station at the check in table, he mentions to me the cabanas are all booked and they will set up tables for us. I was highly upset when I heard that. I booked a week in advance and come to find out I am not getting one. They never reached out to let us know this would be the result of a system fail and being told after driving out to jamul. I asked to speak to someone, not sure if the lady I spoke to was a manager or what but she was clearly not trained. She kept saying she had to ask her manager as I asked why can't I get a cabana that was open, that party has not arrived yet. The reason I didn't get the one I had was due to that party being here first. Also on the booking you don't choose what cabana you get! Flash forward my party is starting to arrive and still no resolution. The director was called, to see if we could get the cabana that was open and by then someone else with the same issue just sat there and said they are not moving. We ended up getting the table set up and the fiesta package which includes tacos chicken and steak. He also gave us a fruit platter and charcuterie board. Refunded my money. The food took awhile to come out. We probably got served like 2 hours after we sat down. Honestly the pool is nice and all but the service from the pool staff was not good. Pool staff meaning the runners for your food and drinks. I got a pitcher drink and they were so busy they ran out of pitchers and fruit to make the drink. The runner told me that and offered the pitcher instead. When she came back with it she just shoved it on the table. With trying to find room to put it down. I appreciate what the director did and Anthony for checking in on us to make sure we were having a good time. Would I return probably not due to the lack of training to the staff and slow service.
