As the property owner, I have repeatedly contacted your office regarding a tenant whose water account has accumulated approximately $500 in unpaid charges. According to your records, the account was scheduled for service disconnection on June 21, 2026. Despite this, water service has remained active, allowing the balance to continue increasing while I, as the property owner, am ultimately being held financially responsible. I have repeatedly asked Palmdale Water District why service has not been disconnected as scheduled and why I am expected to continue assuming liability for a delinquent tenant's ongoing water usage. To date, no representative has provided a clear or valid explanation. In addition to the billing issue, I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received. During my attempts to resolve this matter: I spoke with a customer service representative identified as SABRINA, who disconnected my call on three separate occasions. When I called back, my calls were not properly addressed and I was instead transferred into a general queue without assistance. I left a voicemail for Supervisor JUDITH HERNANDEZ, but discovered that calling her extension results in the line being automatically disconnected. Despite my efforts, I have received no return call, no acknowledgment of my concerns, and no meaningful assistance. The lack of communication, failure to follow your own service disconnection procedures, and poor customer service have left me with no confidence that this matter will be resolved through normal channels. As a result, I am filing a formal complaint with the California State Water Resources Control Board regarding Palmdale Water District's failure to address this issue and its continued practice of allowing delinquent accounts to accumulate while property owners bear the financial burden. read more

As a patron of Palmdale Water District for 30 plus years, I hope to improve the PWD's public image concerning the new 2022 restricted watering hours. The department intends to give out warnings and fines, so accurate public information is essential. Palmdale Water District's policies for enforcing these restrictions should be prominently displayed on the website so we can better understand how street level water policing will be accomplished. The restricted watering hours could be stated more accurately than in the graphic. Monday evening, from 6 PM until Tuesday morning at 10 AM, Wednesday evening, from 6 PM until Thursday morning at 10 AM, and Saturday evening from 6 PM until 10 AM Sunday morning, six watering days. Will PWD water police be motivated in some manner, such as having to achieve minimum quotas to keep their jobs, or awarded bonuses for writing larger numbers of notices and fines? Will they be going out searching for noncompliance; will they be working from tips only? What are the common sense limits that the water police will be instructed work within, to avoid lawsuits? I purchased a house in Palmdale. Was able to get all the utilities moved into my name, except for the water. Even Edison was easier to deal with. None of them required a final Escrow close account papers. They're justification for it. Was they want to be able to put a lien on your property for unpaid water bills. However, you don't need to know the owners name to put a lien on a property. They seem incredibly difficult for no good reason other than there's no competition and you have to submit to them. If I can move my gas and my electric and my solar into my name, then why does the water bill have to have all this documentation that the owner of the property is transition to a different owner? Furthermore, if you call them on the phone, they absolutely refused to create an application on your behalf . No way to do that except online because they refuse to help you. A lot of public utilities, where there is no competition behave like this because there's absolutely nothing challenging them and they literally can be as difficult as they want to be . read more

This business is a joke. Closed for over a week in observation of the holiday? I tried to pay my bill online and there was an issue so I called and they are closed. Checked google and they will be closed for a week straight, maybe longer. I couldn't pay my bill over the phone either and my bill is due in two days but since it's going to be closed for the next week I would suggest just going to a 711 and paying cash instead of dealing with them directly. Why is the water so milky looking and hard on the skin and cost so much. I thought it was bad in lancaster but it's worse here. I pay twice as much and more often for bad water supply. There's always someone in our neighborhood with broken water pipes so I know they are collecting a great amount of money there. read more
