The masseuses were clearly untrained--there was excessive use of oil, awkward pressure, and random elbowing that felt more like rough play than massage. At one point, the masseuse even laughed with her colleague while continuing a technique that was more ticklish than relaxing. The room was cold, and instead of proper sheets or blankets to stay warm, we were given hot towels that only made the temperature contrast more uncomfortable. The entire setup felt more like a training center than a professional spa. The included "champagne and chocolates" was equally disappointing. Despite asking ahead if the chocolate was vegan, we were given two random Halloween-sized candies (Twix and KitKat) and flat, tasteless champagne. This experience was a complete waste of time and money. I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived and immediately went searching for another spa to salvage the day. During the session, even though I paid for a Brazilian, she kept trying to get me to do a bikini wax instead (maybe less work for her?) and I had to refuse multiple times. After the appointment, and when I was about to leave, she said she would charge me an extra $15 because my hair was coarse and she did the back (which is what a Brazilian is). For me it is the principle of things and the way she went about it. She never mentioned it or said anything during the wax and waited till I was about to leave. I was very upset with that.

Plus, the woman getting sprayed had left her stuff all over the one chair, open handbag and everything. The tan itself didn't really look like much, except on my face, which was really dark. But everywhere else you couldn't really notice it. So, nope. Would not recommend. PS: If this review convinces you to go here, be prepared to get totally nay-nay except for disposable paper undies.

She took the time to talk through different shapes with me -- it turns out I like the straight shape look -- and showed me how I could get there with a growth encouragement product at home. Rosana showed such incredible expertise too, drawing out the symmetrical lines I should strive for to achieve the look I wanted. I absolutely appreciated the time she took to make my appointment successful. They have good covid measures in place too right now, with a temperature check at the door, a big jug of hand sanitizer on the front desk, and masks required all around. I'd be happy to go back to see Rosana again.

I mean I can understand poking and prodding but rubbing and smothering on creams? I have to do that. In my defense though, she still gets angry when I leave her alone; acting all harsh and dry. She's also left me with blotchy, sun-sensitive skin that could barely be covered with makeup. Now that I'm older, she's starting throwing other things my way. Let's see how much longer that lasts." So I was quiet. I don't wanna fight. She's tough but sensitive. Evil but at times kinda pretty. I always wondered what it would be like to have skin that looks healthy and happy and beautiful. I told Clori about my one laugh line and she recommended JoJo. JoJo is an esthetician with years of experience that works under Clori's salon. Today was my second visit with her. My first was 3 weeks ago. She used a contouring machine, microneedling, uplifting machine, circulating, facial massage, did extractions and facials. Forget my opinion. My skin loves her! She's not as angry as she used to be. She looks amazing! So moisturized and I swear I can barely see her pores. In fact, she's so dang happy, she took that laugh line away and guess what? She's glowing! Yes Hunty!! Glowing!!! I've scheduled my 3rd appointment for the beginning of December...right around my 35th birthday (yes I'm turning 35 again..so what?) I had to try it again recently to work with a tight schedule of mine which was a big mistake. It took two hours for a gell fill-in, midday on a weekday. Not only that, but my hands were sore and bleeding, my nails started lifting right away and were breaking after a week. When I was finally able to get back to my usual salon, I needed to get a whole new set because of the damage (and fungus?) that had been done to my hands. Very frustrated and I will not be coming back.

She called in and was going to be twenty minutes late but I had another appt after and couldn't wait. How would she feel if I showed up 20 minutes late when she had other clients waiting? Nina and Linda did my service today and they were very sweet! The service was unlike anything I've experienced. During the entirety of my service, some part of me was getting massaged. If it wasn't my neck and shoulders, it was my face or my arms and hands. I was not expecting all of that and was very happy and relaxed. Multiple tools were used on my scalp throughout the appointment, such as their fingers, gua shas and other tools to help the circulation in my scalp. There was at least 30-40 minutes of massaging before my hair even got washed. My only downside is that they use the same products for all hair types. I have very curly hair and with that comes dryness - it's the dryers hair type. They just kept telling me "your hair is dry" and it didn't seem like they had good product for my hair. After my appointment, I was headed to work so I called previously to ask if the hair is styled after the service and I was told yes "blow dried". My naive self thought that that ment a blow out. Guess not so naive, because I know there are places in the city that do finish off your service with a blow out. Really, what they meant was a light blow dry and the rest with air dry. This does not work for curly hair, sadly. My hair was a frizzy mess and was not their fault - that's just how curly hair is. You have to add product to it. So I had to run to the pharmacy to get product since I went directly to work after this. That is truly my only complaint, but to be honest, I would still book again and just know to bring my own styling products to apply after the massage and wash.
