I just got the worst haircut of my life - not because the precision is actually wrong but because she didn't listen to a word I said. I specifically said the time I've hated my bob is when it's too close to my ears. I showed her a reference picture and clearly stated that I like it when it hangs JUST above the shoulder. She proceeded to freestyle, giving me the haircut SHE wanted to give me, taking off at least 1-2 inches too many. Now I look like lord farquad. To be honest I was really betting on this haircut to bring my confidence back, after spending 4 days in the hospital and really needing an ounce of luxury in my life, and I left feeling worse than when I entered. I'm crying in my car, embarrassed to be in public because of how much I hate the cut and how unlistened to and unpampered I feel. This is a shame and I won't be returning, after years of supporting multiple stylists here. Their one job is to listen, and I got the opposite of that. Might as well change my Halloween costume to lord farquad at this point. DONT BOOK with Jessica. She also didn't apologize after seeing me upset. Instead she told me "well the line is really sharp so it'll look good when it grows out" . The point of getting a haircut is not to wait 2 months to like it!! They offered me a 20% discount which in my opinion is completely inadequate when a client leaves your chair on the verge of tears. They did nothing meaningful to try to remedy the situation. As someone who works in the beauty industry I'm particularly disgusted by the lack of customer service skills.

The quality of my hair has also improved, it's falling out less and is very soft and growing out nicely and quickly. I have been using the hair oil she sells in the salon (Ruhe) and I think that's helped a lot. I also enjoy the aesthetic in the salon, lots of plants, quiet (She only takes 1 appointment at a time), low music. I'm not much of a talker during a haircut and Kelsey respects that. My appointments with her are always very relaxing and as I said previously, my haircuts are perfect and my hair looks so good. She is definitely worth the price (which isn't that expensive in my opinion).

None of the underneath layers were colored. I reached out the the salon to ask what I paid for ($377 in total) and they confirmed it was for full balayage. When I asked why there was no color on the under layers I was told they book and price by the hour, so I paid for the full hour of service and not necessarily full coverage balayage. I couldn't help but feel like I was overcharged, but like I said, I like the result. I went in hoping for full balayage, paid for full balayage and I still can't help but wonder what partial balayage would look like (and cost). But the salon did offer to refund their standard $30 for the misunderstanding.
