Scope of Work & Cost Breakdown: The project transformed our front yard, which was previously an eyesore. Our original layout was quoted at $60,000, and included: A privacy wall with vinyl fencing A modern patio with pavers Turf with stepping stones Decomposed granite (DG) with cactus plants and a riverbed Extending the driveway with decorative rock Replacing an old side gate with vinyl fencing I really wanted to extend the driveway with reinforced concrete, and Tom made that happen without charging extra. Another company quoted us $50,000 for a similar project, but that didn't include the concrete driveway. Tom wasn't the cheapest, but his pricing was competitive--and honestly, you get what you pay for. The workmanship and service made the difference. Later, I decided on a more modern and secure look. I asked Tom to replace part of the vinyl fencing with custom high-quality aluminum privacy panels and gates. Tom made it happen. The custom aluminum and installation came out to about $22,000--pricey, but we understood it was custom fabricated and built to last. Tom also included an additional vinyl side gate for backyard access at no extra charge. The total project cost was $82,000, and looking at the finished result, we feel it was a solid investment in our home's beauty, functionality, and value. Quality of Work & Experience: Tom's crew was professional, courteous, and had great attitudes throughout. They worked fast but never cut corners. The project was completed on time, and the quality speaks for itself. They were respectful of our property. Even though the entire front yard was their workspace, they kept things tidy and protected the surrounding areas. One thing that really stood out: Tom went above and beyond with the backyard. Although it wasn't part of the job, he took the initiative to clear out a lot of overgrown weeds--something he didn't have to do. That's the kind of person Tom is: thoughtful and customer-focused. A simple rinse helped, but a deep clean would've really polished things off. Personally, I was hoping this could have been included, as I now need to handle the power washing myself; however, this certainly didn't take away from our overall satisfaction--more of a thoughtful suggestion to elevate the final presentation. We had another company do some work on our backyard and left us with unfinished projects and projects that were not done correctly: retaining wall, patio cover, pavers and a railing. We also wanted to add an area for a hot tub. I was told you couldn't put a hot tub on pavers from a previous contractor so we were going to have a cement slab put in. Ari came out and recommended doing pavers to match the other areas. I am so happy that he recommended this and they were able to execute. It is gorgeous and so much better then the other option. Palm construction also replaced the patio cover and the railing--this new railing is more in line with my vision--both an amazing improvement. They also sealed the pavers from the previous project and fixed the retaining wall so the stucco looks beautiful and is waterproofed the other side too. In addition, we had to have the stairs redone in the backyard because we needed an additional step from one level to the next. I was really happy with the look of the previous stairs but these new stairs are even nicer. We couldn't be happier with the end results! I would say that the whole process is very professional. This is a team that really cares about the quality of their work. Of course, the whole process ran so smoothly with Ari managing everything. He is always quick to respond to messages, he gives an update every night about what and who to expect the next day. It really felt like we were in good hands and we didn't have anything to worry about. Roy did a great job handling the whole house electrical rewiring. Not only was Roy attentive to my needs, he is very kind and understanding. They also put in recessed lights and the whole house looks new. Shai did a bathroom remodel. He was the greatest person to work with. Professional, fun and creative. He understood all my picky design ideas and was supportive in bringing my vision into reality. My conclusion after spending time with them is that both Roy and Shai are sincere, honest, hardworking professional people. Their work is methodical, thorough, and clean. I hired this company for a basic home renovation project and it turned into a nightmare. From the start, they bombarded me with aggressive telemarketing calls. I should've seen that as a red flag. Their "free estimate" came in at double what other contractors quoted me, but they pressured me hard into signing. I regret giving them any information, because after that, I started getting non-stop spam calls clearly they sold my data. The work they did was sloppy, delayed, and way over budget. The plan and service have been great! The Team has visited daily which helped to communicate and manage problems. There were very few delays in delivery of materials and storage was discussed and resolved with establishing space in the garage. Palm Construction, and Elay really went above and beyond for us. We needed an old wood fence replaced and they came up with a design using Trex that looks awesome. They came out the very next day and took the old one down and installed the new one. Had a problem with the spacing but they took care of it a couple of days later.
