They did a horrible job. They damaged my pool. The planter is not level. They didn't properly seal the pavers. It was a 5 week nightmare.

Had to stop our rating because of how the pavers have held up. We were super delighted when they went in, but over a few years, several problems. #1 sink areas developed that we had to have redone. #2 We kept smelling something funky in the yard, and when we had some plumbing work done, a gas leak was discovered. Equity was responsible for running that gas line from the outlet to the gas fire place, and the attachment point had the wrong hardware and the line was pinched. It cost us several thousand dollars for emergency services, gas shut down, and repair services. Erasamo would not cover the costs of the repairs that were necessary. Also, while his crew was here, they dinged one of our cars and denied that they had done it, even though the paint matched their truck. So we were out a bunch for repairs to the backyard and our car The good news is that the gas fireplace finally works. read more

I got a new concrete apron and a driveway made of pavers. Erasmo is great to work with. Pricing beat everybody I talked to. He is a little difficult to get a hold of, but once you do, he is on top of things. His guys did quality work, paid attention to the little details (which I find so important), showed up when they said they would, and completed the jobs in a timely manner. If you are searching on Yelp, I wouldn't go with anybody else. Why take a chance? Equity Pavers does quality work for a fair price. That's hard to find these days with how busy these construction guys are! read more

I called his vendor because all of the great reviews on yelp, he responded and said send a picture of my job and info. I went to the trouble of doing so. I never heard back from him I sent him a text as well and have still heard nothing... Erasmo performed a great job on installing new pavers for patio, walkway, and transition from old pavers in my backyard. He provided estimate and showed up exactly the day he setup for my project. What differentiate him from big construction companies that he does not refuse work on small projects. He is always with his team and he comes with good ideas and can solve any unexpected obstacles that come along. My wife and I are very satisfied with the job he is done and recommend Equity Pavers by Erasmo. read more

I called Equity Pavers because of the good reviews and made an appointment with Erasmo, but he called to cancel exactly at the time he was to come. I made another appointment and he did show up to look at my driveway and back patio. He measured and we had a nice chat. He mentioned his great reviews and said it would be sometime in August before he could do the job, but that was ok with me. Days went by and I never received a quote. I have called twice and e-mailed. No response. That is no way to run a business. read more

We can't say enough good things about how wonderful Equity Pavers is. They did a fabulous job for us! Our driveway and walkways are stunning. They are the talk of the neighborhood. Erasmo and his 4-6 man team were especially good with the precision work required to work with the irregular shapes of the pavers and the curves in the walkways. They were punctual every morning and at the end of the day they cleaned up after themselves. They were respectful of our property and the safety of our animals. They worked very effectively and completed the job on time...even though they had a change order. We highly recommend the team from Equity Pavers. read more

Equity Pavers did an amazing job in our little back yard. Erasmo and his team were awesome and very professional. They worked fast and kept to the schedule. I had interviewed two other paving contractors before I contacted Equity Pavers / Erasmo. I was concerned about drainage and the flow of water away from the house and away from the retaining walls. I have clay soils so my house is always shifting after the rains. The solution of the two other contractors was simple sloping. Erasmo suggested a drain pipe as well as sloping to direct the water away from both the house & retaining walls and off the property. I felt he listened to my concerns and had the best solutions and recommendations for my property. I had one other estimate and then decided to go with Erasmo. His quote was very reasonable and within my budget though I didn't tell him my budget. Along with the pavers he built me a planter to hide a hideous cracked cinder block wall that had oozing cement on my side, added some more cinder block to a wall that wasn't all the same height and built a redwood fence. I highly recommend the look of the pavers with a sealer applied. They did a great job and Erasmo was there everyday with his crew so I felt comfortable going to work after the morning meeting. I am very happy with the results and would highly recommend Erasmo and his crew. I wish I had taken the plunge sooner. read more

Erasmo and his crew were amazingly fast! They worked with my budget and time frame and he's so polite and grateful you can tell he's an honest hard worker and I'm so lucky to have found him by chance. The work is flawless and so well rendered in my awkward space, it looks magnificent. He does book up fast, I hope to get him back to work on my backyard, all our neighbors have complimented us on the good looking pavers even before they finished. Everything was cleaned up and I didn't have to worry or lift a finger except to make the call for him to come in. Best contractor experience I've ever had! read more

Equity Pavers - Extra parking added to our driveway - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

When it comes to writing a review about Equity Pavers, and Erasmo - I have SO much to say. We've had such an amazing experience with Erasmo and his team, that I'm actually excited to find more for him to do. We put in a paver patio in the back and re did our back wall (+ added some redwood on the top). GORGEOUS. Erasmo is personable, fair and extremely committed to everything he does. He works hard to work around your schedule and budget and does it all with a smile. At the completion of the job, I felt like he was a part of my family! I HIGHLY recommend Equity Pavers to anyone looking for a partner in the home renovation process. Erasmo, you rock. read more

I have learned so much from this experience. Biggest lesson: installing pavers is not a DIY job! It took the Equity Pavers crew 11 days of hard work to do this job. It is painstaking to do it right. My backyard remodel consisted of raising the lower part of my patio to come even with the upper part, building 2 sets of steps, installing stone veneer on a wall, and building a column around 2 posts holding up my pergola. It's a 500 square foot yard. I attached pictures to my review. I initially met with Kurt, one of the owners, who gave me an estimate within a few days of his visit. Not pushy at all. I was actually pleasantly surprised by his quote--very competitive. I decided to go with Equity Pavers based on the price, Erasmo's experience(more on him in a minute), and because they were pleasant to work with. The only negative I can say is that the project started one month later than initially scheduled. To be fair, they don't give a specific starting date. It's impossible. Things come up on projects that cause delays, so I understood. Just keep in mind that most of these pavers installation companies are very busy, so you can expect a 1-2 month wait from the time they agree to do your installation to the time they start working. Erasmo is the other owner of the company and he also installs the pavers. On any given day, there are between 2 and 6 workers at the house, depending on what they're working on that particular day. All the workers were well-behaved, clean, and hard-working. Speaking of hard-working, the crew starts very early, as early as 7am. And pavers installation can be noisy. There's the breaking of the concrete, compacting the pavers, cutting the pavers with a saw. Luckily my neighbors didn't complain. I did warn them ahead of time it might be noisy early in the morning. But if you have pain in the a** neighbors, you may want to ask the crew to start working later if possible. They even worked both Saturday and Sunday. I'm telling you, they worked hard. When I told my Sicilian dad how early they start, he said "that's how you know when a crew is a good. If they say they're going to start at 7, but they show up at 10--fire them. They're no good. When a crew starts early in the morning, you know they're going to do a good job." The final product came out great. Pavers installation isn't a perfect process. It's done by humans. They're laying down hundreds of individual stones. It takes a lot of patience to get them all perfectly in line with each other and perfectly level with each other. I would check on their work daily and I did notice some errors from time to time. I would take a picture and send it to Erasmo with what I thought was wrong. He didn't argue. He simply took care of it the next day. Very easy-going guy to work with. Equity Pavers was also easy-going with the payments. I actually had to remind them "hey, shouldn't I pay you some money right now? You guys have been working for 2 days already." I paid them once in the beginning, once about halfway done, and the final payment upon completion. I also got an estimate from System Pavers. The System Pavers quote was 3x what I paid with Equity Pavers. But with Equity Pavers I got MORE done. The System Pavers quote didn't include the stone veneer for the wall, nor did it include the 2 columns, and it was for a less expensive paver. Most manufacturers of pavers guarantee their pavers for life. So if a paver cracks, Belgard(the brand I went with) should replace the paver for free. And Kurt says that as long as I own the home, the workmanship is under warranty. The project was just completed a few days ago. The real test will be when it starts to rain. How will the pavers hold up? But I assume they will stay in place because the crew took their time in making sure things were done right. Erasmo is at the job site every day, and he makes sure that things are done right. I would definitely recommend Equity Pavers. Book them in advance because like I said, it could be a couple months before they can start. For anyone interested, I went with the Belgard Lafitt Grana Slab pavers, a 50/50 mix of Bella and Toscana colors. Just a little tip: these guys work all day in the hot sun. I asked them if they wanted a beer and they said they don't drink on the job. But they do love water! If you can, set up an ice chest full of water bottles in the morning. They'd really appreciate that. read more

Equity Pavers built a terraced garden wall in our front yard and we've received many compliments from our neighbors. My husband and I hired them a few years ago to completely paver our back yard and driveway. They did a beautiful job so we were confident they'd do a good job again with our front yard and we were not disappointed. Their price was very fair and they are probably the hardest working crew we've ever dealt with. They showed up at 8 am on the dot Monday through Saturday. Erasmo (the owner) has a great sense of design and provided some wonderful ideas to improve our original design. We highly recommend them and would gladly work with them again. read more

Erasmo and his crew were amazing! We needed an 'emergency' repair to our driveway and they came out on a weekend, hustled to get the job done IN ONE DAY, AND did an incredible job! After interviewed a few companies, we decided to hire Equity Pavers to install pavers in the front patio area and back. What impressed us the most was from the beginning how quickly Erasmo followed-up after we requested an estimate and he was able to give me a detailed quote on the same day. They were very honest and gave very competitive quote. Erasmo and his crew are great and did a very professional job. All process went smooth from the beginning to the end. The crew was always on time. They even applied new pipes and new drains at no extra cost. Once they finished the job, they cleaned up everything. Couldn't believe how amazing it looks! Erasmo was the first person that got back to me when I contacted a slue of contractors on Yelp and home advisor to come quote our backyard. He was on time when we set an appointment to get a quote and was very professional and creative. These things are important to me, because you want to work with someone that values your time. He wasn't the cheapest quote but we felt right about going with equity pavers. My husband and I work a lot so we weren't around much, he was fine with my preference to text as opposed to phone calls all the time and most mornings they would arrive early and we would go over what they had planned for the day. We have a massive backyard, that had a crappy concrete slab, a fireplace that was an eye sore and a ton of grass. We were hesitant about starting something because our backyard is huge, but had been saving up to make it nice for entertaining. We had a rough sketch that we gave to him, he had lots of ideas and I can happily say everything is amazing! His crew was friendly and professional, the poor guys worked through the hottest weeks in June. We had one area that we weren't completely satisfied with and they redid it no problem. All the new work done, all demolition of concrete, ripped out a massive tree, built a massive patio and path to it with steps from our back door, 3 planters, a fire pit, covering the fireplace in slate(it's gorgeous now), rings around our palm trees, installation of a vinyl fence, stuccoing our brick wall, rerouting sprinklers, run electrical and gas, and seal the whole thing...I'm sure I'm forgetting something. We are beyond thrilled with the results! We have a new backyard and Erasmo and his crew to thank for it! Highly recommend equity pavers! read more

We used Equity Pavers to redo our old asphalt and cracking concrete driveway and we couldn't be happier with the results. They expertly planned and executed a true work of art, giving us exactly what we hoped for. They regraded our driveway and eliminated the need for a drain. They moved sprinklers. They were prompt to the job site every day and worked incredibly quickly and efficiently. Erasmo is a truly caring and competent professional with a can do attitude. Of the three bids we received for our patio deck remodel, equity pavers provided the most reasonable quote and timeline that fit our needs. Kurt, our initial contact, was prompt and offered his knowledge and experience to walk us through the project in simple terms. Greatly appreciated by my wife! The bid was well written and explained everything in clear and simple terms. Erasmo the crew foreman was a pleasure to work with, professional and explained everything as the two weeks of construction ensued. His crew was also very professional and did a great job. Our neighbors have been complimentary in their comments throughout the process and I believe two neighbors are already speaking to Equity about their patios. Each day the site, our driveway, street and walkways were hosed down and left clean. I'll have photos soon to add to this as soon as we get the patio arranged so stay tuned! I got quotes from a few of the bigger contractors and they were either overly expensive, too busy or simply never responded after giving me the estimate (I'm looking at you Aloha Pavers!). I got tired of "chasing for their business" so I decided on giving the smaller guys a chance. Thank God I did. Kurt and Erasmo from Equity Pavers came by the very next day, gave me a quote that was fair and we started the project 2 days later. Throughout the whole process Kurt kept me up to date and replied to every single question and concern (trust me, I had plenty) through text. No BS emails, voice mails or snail mail.. text replied within 30 mins or so like normal folks. If you're tired of the dead ends with the bigger contractors. Give Equity Pavers a try! read more

I had an existing paver walkway that I needed to have enlarged and extended past my gate to connect to my driveway. For too long it had been difficult to roll my trash cans out to the street or even walk past my gate because the sprinkler system left the dirt in that area a muddy mess. I had contacted several other companies and the job was either too small or the charge was a lot more than what Equity Pavers quoted. It was a pleasure working with Erasmo. He listened to what I needed and he and his crew delivered quality work at a reasonable price. I had to go out of town before the work was completed and when I came back everything was finished to my satisfaction. He worked with my Association's landscapers to ensure the sprinkler system provided water for the grass on the opposite side of the walkway and was kind enough to offer to fix a small section of pavers that were sinking in another part of my patio that wasn't part of the original job. Then a few days later, I was in the front yard talking with my cable provider and a man drove by who I assumed might have been the owner and asked if I was happy with the work. I ensured him I was. I would recommend Erasmo and Equity Pavers for any of your landscaping needs. read more

My wife and I were looking to get pavers for our backyard to complement a new addition to our home as well as our driveway (to replace old cracked asphalt). We met with a few paving companies and decided to go with Equity Pavers. We spoke a few times with both Erasmo and Kurt and felt they were very personable and experienced. Once we worked out the details, Erasmo and his team went to work. The crew was very nice and worked very hard to put in a beautiful looking patio area in our backyard which included pathways on all sides of the house. The driveway came out looking fantastic as well. Erasmo was always willing to take the time to explain what was being done and making sure we were going to be happy. As we saw the progress and how nice the pavers looked, we asked for an additional area to be done. We provided Erasmo with a pattern for our front of the house area and he and the crew came through with more beautiful work. With my son's high school graduation just a couple of weeks away I needed help and I needed it fast. I had spoken with 4 other contractors who said that what I wanted couldn't be done and then......"EQUITY PAVERS TO THE RESCUE!" When Erasmo came to give me a quote he too agreed that the stone that I wanted was too thick to fit under the door on my front porch. Erasmo suggested a slightly thinner stone that was available in the same color pattern that I originally wanted. Genius! Why had none of the other contractors suggested this before especially when they all presented me with the same catalog? Right then I knew that Erasmo knew his product and he was the right man for the job the only problem was he was booked past the date of our graduation. After careful consideration Erasmo was able to squeeze us in to his busy schedule, he said that he too has a 2021 graduate and understands how important it is for us to have that since of pride as we celebrate our children. Long story short my walkway and porch turned out absolutely beautiful. Quality and compassion who could ask for more. Thanks again Equity Pavers you rock! read more

Equity Pavers is OUTSTANDING....can't recommend them enough! Kurt and Erasmo and team are rock solid...prompt, thorough and their work is of the highest caliber. Their pricing is very competitive too. They replaced decades old god awful cracked concrete that was once our driveway and our front courtyard and then we just kept adding to the project from there. They installed a pavered deck for us, as well as a gas fire pit. They added a stone surround to our support column outside our front door and a surround to our outdoor shower post. Lastly, they installed a stone accent wall inside our home. At present, we are working with them on some final projects- a pebble and stepping stone pathway down the side of our house and a small fence with stone columns on our front yard...cant wait to pull it all together...so happy with our results. We are absolutely thrilled with the superb job that Erasmo and his team did in replacing a badly cracked concrete driveway with a new one made with stylish paver stones. When we first contacted them for a quote, they were the fastest on the scene, and also gave the lowest quote. After they started, his team was totally professional, and put in a full day, every single day until the job was finished. Erasmo also pointed out the need for good drainage, which we hadn't taken into account, and he included the needed drains. They also tackled the important issue of tree root removal, which other companies seemed reluctant to address. In addition, they went above and beyond the basic job by replacing old broken sprinkler pipes nearby. All in all, we cannot recommend Equity Pavers highly enough. read more

After reading all the positive reviews about Equity Pavers, my sister and I decided to contact Erasmo for our backyard. We have a small backyard; however, there are some tricky areas that had been one of the main reasons for us putting off this project so far. Erasmo showed up in a very timely manner, listened to our needs and most importantly offered some very creative ideas. After our initial conversations, we knew we had found the right person! Erasmo and his team: 1) HOURS: Worked very reasonable hours -- early in the mornings (allowing us to go over status/questions before both of our workdays). 2) FLEXIBILITY: Were very flexible in making any changes (that were not part of the original plan). 3) PRICES: Very competitive 4) COMPLETION: Ahead of schedule AND cleaned up very well; they even picked up some of our unrelated junks to be discarded. I decided to take the plunge and go with the recommendations from fellow yelpers and called up Equity Pavers for our backyard project. My wife and I had a pretty good idea of the layout and we were pleased when Erasmo showed up for our appointment as scheduled. He listened to our plans and was confident that he could deliver on our ideas. He even gave us good suggestions on some finer details of the project without any up-selling. The whole job consisted of demolition, debris removal, re-routing of sprinklers, grading, paving of bricks, and the addition of some low voltage lights. Equity Pavers is a smaller family owned business and Erasmo seemed sincere, capable, and dedicated to his work so we decided he was the man for the job. Erasmo and his team of five were punctual everyday, respectful of our privacy and property, and cleaned up before they left for the night. They finished the project in four short days. Our project was considered a small one for Equity Pavers (~500 sf) but not once did Erasmo and his crew make us feel that it was. Our ideas and concerns were always the priority. The results are fantastic and even exceeded our expectations! We now have a fully functional backyard that also looks great. I highly recommend Equity Pavers without hesitation. read more

I approached a total of 5 contractors to provide estimates on a hardscape remodel at my home's backyard. The job consisted of re-grading of our backyard, installation of a new drainage system (french drains, catch basins, connection to house downspouts, and an underground drain line to the street), as well as ~825 sf of blended color pavers. I was a bit apprehensive about only going off Yelp reviews in the case of Equity Pavers, but am in hindsight happy about ending up choosing them based on both professionalism and budget. I am a design consultant in construction and have a good amount of experience with contractors, so I was not going to be easily impressed. However, I ended up being impressed! Erasmo, Kurt, and the crew were completely committed to the job and in making sure I was happy. Even when there was a small hick-up (I blame myself for not communicating better what I was looking for at a small area at the front), their response was immediate. Also, Erasmo had great suggestions for the drainage scheme that ended up improving the project. Bottom line is that I have no reservation in engaging Equity Pavers for my future projects (they also do retaining walls, concrete slabs, etc.) or recommending them - hence my review. You just don't get that level of service at that budget from the larger firms, period. read more

Erasmo and Equity Pavers came highly recommended from a former employee of theirs. We had a complicated job on the side of our house. The existing concrete had to be broken out and a new drain system with sump pump installed, then new pavers installed. On top of that we had a boat dock landing that needed to be raised about a foot which involved breaking out the existing concrete steps and welding a new bracket for the landing. Erasmo found a welder for us to do that portion of the work. The location was very tight and was only eighteen inches wide at the narrowest. They also poured new concrete steps for the boat dock. The main concern was leaking from the sea wall during the king high tides. I am happy to report the fix worked and there was no leakage from the area of concern. The drain system worked well to manage the water flow from other areas. The installation of the pavers was beautiful with miter cuts and paver placement. They did all this work in four days at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Erasmo and his crew at Equity Pavers! read more
