While other tans I've gotten consist of the typical "spray, spray, turn, spray, spray, arms up" etc., then done, Val took the time to scrutinize her work both in the pop-up tent and out of it in the brighter light to make sure everything was perfect. Additionally, she guarantees her tans, so if there are any issues after the fact she will immediately fix them (which is amazing given the myriad ways you can mess up your tan yourself by accident). As for professionalism, she's everything you want in interactions with a business. She is an extremely prompt communicator, will work around your schedule, and her set-up is quick, clean, and efficient. She is very friendly and kind as well. I would recommend Alua Tan to anyone!

The Guilford location isn't too bad for this, the Hamden one gets inundated with monstrosities of Quinnipiac girls (so be prepared to wait like forever there)... But on this day the parking lot here didn't look too jammin' so I figured I'd go in. There were two girls waiting for an open bed (or maybe their friends to come out). Two working girls behind the counter. Between them was a small pizza. These employees looked at me as if I was bothering the hell out of them and I almost felt like I was being looked down upon. I'm sorry I interrupted your pizza. Like Sheila's review, it was clear they didn't value their job. I was able to go right into a Level 2 bed without wait. No "have a nice day" on my way out or anything like the other Tommy's locations say. Meh. I've experienced better.

This unsealed and used product made me lose trust in the company; a massage is a very personal service. I canceled any further service and offered to pay the $11.00 difference between what the massage cost and what I would have paid otherwise. I was told it was their policy to charge the $100.00 cancellation fee, which they hadn't told me that the month before. I would not recommend this place.

It does have that "spray tan smell" over the next couple of days, but it's so mild.
