This store is by far the cleanest. The employees are friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend.

Went in to buy a membership and tanning package and the guy who works there was no help at all wouldn't let me tan or buy a package horrible place read more

Been a PBT one member for almost two years now, never had an issue until today. I come for regular weekly sessions and additional tans when I'm going away. I drive 25 minutes from work and I'm greeted at the door 10 minutes BEFORE closing time by a young lady ( mystic takes less than 4 minutes total) telling me that they are closed. She took it upon herself to close down the shop early. When I call the store, she answers the phone with "we're closed I told you that already" and hangs up. Proceeds to answer and hang up 3 more times so I'm unable to leave a voicemail. Absolutely disgusting lack of customer service, and the employees outside of one all seem to hate their lives 99% of the time. Will not be returning, and if management sees this, whoever was on the closing shift May 31, 2023 for the Ellicott city location needs a serious training refresher, or a new job. read more

Josie Was on duty , she began the check in by sneezing in her hands twice .. No washing no sanitizer nothing .. Took 10 minutes to check in ,, 10 minutes to clean the room .. Awful Please just shut this down because you are losing people with the staff you have .. Only one person knows how to run the shop that's Mathew ... This girl Josie was eating potato chips and Coca-Cola at the register .. how professional ... read more

This location is now a Palm Beach Tan and is definitely an improvement from TanStand. PBT now provides eye-wear which is nice is your forget yours and they are offering a wider variety of lotions and skincare products. They have also expanded their hours until 10pm during the week and 8 on the weekends. The new hours are great for a busy person!! read more

Palm Beach Tan - Skin Care Near Me - Ellicott City, Maryland

Very deceptive practices. I spent $85 for a one time use lotion and three spray tans. Opted not to do the monthly membership to go once a month for $14.95 because I wouldn't need it this summer. Instead I got a package of three visits $60, thinking that will tide me over til summer (end of March until Memorial Day). Went in to tan and was told it expired, that you only have 45 days to use it. Although it clearly states it in the "menu" of options and prices, it is deceiving not to show customers or stress it is only 45 days. I was not shown it until I picked it up questioning the price today, which was day 46. Pretty shady business to sell someone a three pack that you can use anytime, not telling them it was only 45 days or I would have only purchased a one time visit or been upsold with membership. Give your business to another establishment with integrity. read more

Very large & clean facility. Nice staff. Very infrequently is there a wait for a bed. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the restroom. On and off over the last year or more I've asked several different staff members including management to see about having a stand or hooks put in the restroom to hang a purse or jacket. It's disgusting to have to put personal belongings on the bathroom floor. I'm sure the staff doesn't put their possessions on the floor. Still waiting.... read more

Nick and Matt do a good job. Overall I canceled my membership because they do not have enough beds. They have several basic beds, one platinum bed, and two diamond beds. I purchased the platinum membership because I dislike the basic beds, I dont think they're strong enough for me personally. With only one platinum bed, you will encounter it occupied more often than not. Leaving you stuck in the basic bed even though you paid for the platinum. They do have a stand up but who really wants to stand for a full 10 mins of tanning. Overall- clean, staff is friendly, not enough tanning beds to make membership worth the price. read more

This location is awful. The staff gave me zero direction to get a spray tan and I was lost- when I asked for help it was like I was a nuisance. There is no excuse for this level of poor customer service and I will not be returning. read more

I only get a spray tan for special occasions or vacations. Can't complain about this place; always clean, pleasant staff and good specials/offers for customers like me who only tan once in awhile. read more

I came in to sign up for a membership and was less than enthused with the customer service at this location. The girl signing me up was looking at my account information and asked me what my birthday was. I thought she was just trying to confirm, but when I told her she literally gasped and said that I looked so much older than my age. She proceeded to go on and on about how she was shocked that I was around her age. I am not a rude or confrontational person and I do not think she meant any harm, but I decided to leave because her comments really put me off. Quick tip: don't comment on a woman's age. Never a good idea, especially if you are working in customer service. Really unnecessary and intrusive. The salon is clean and looks nice but I guess I will pass and save my skin from looking even older. :) read more

Not just this particular location, but every single Palm beach location I have been to manages to rip me off every single time I go. I've had woman just cancel my membership after a day of having it because "something wasn't right." Manager never called me back or anything. There was a time where I told them by the 25th that I would not like to renew my membership for the following month so they decided to just cancel it all together on the 25th when I still had 2 weeks of tanning left. There's many other incidents too. The whole business is a scam. I guess I'm the dummy that keeps returning to them! read more

I love tanning here. They keep up with changing the bulbs in their beds. Excellent staff, very friendly and efficient. This salon is always clean and smells like coconuts read more

Allison was so helpful! Great service I told her I had to Yelp about her immediately and got me to get a great lotion and told me the best room will always come back here!!! read more

Came for the $10 Test Drive spray tan special. Printed the coupon, called to confirm the special, and read the fine print. Upon arrival, I'm informed that the $10 special only applies if you purchase products. I asked where this policy is stated in writing. Neither employee could answer my question and, of course, no manager on site. $40 later, I'm contacting a manager tomorrow. What a racket. read more

I've been to almost all the Palm Beach Tans in the area and I liked this one because it wasn't crowded at all and very clean. They had a large selection of beds. I definitely recommend this Palm Beach location if you are going tanning. There was a slight wait for the versa. read more

always have a great experience. employees are friendly and helpful. beds are clean and i get a great tan!

Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff, salon is always clean and beds actually tan you (unlike some other places)

Fancy was so helpful getting me set up with my first spray tan! She showed me all of the machines and helped me decide what would be best and even hooked me up with a discount! I love my tan- it's ben going strong for almost a week and looks great! Ill be back for more! read more

This place is just as obnoxious to cancel as a gym membership! Management insists you come in person to cancel, then harasses you about cancelling when you get there. I've been able to upgrade a membership with them any day of the month, but amazingly they have strict cut off dates for any changes that mean less or no money for them. Never coming back! Going back to the boutique salons. read more

Fine until you try and cancel your membership because you are moving, with no locations where you are moving to, and then all customer service and communication go out the window and they deny your request for a refund because the manager who signed you up never told you the cancellation policy. I was told you can cancel anytime with no fees! Not to mention when my refund request was denied no one got in touch with me to tell me it was denied so I could have tanned the last two weeks I was paying for anyways. When I tried to call the location to ask why I was not refunded I was told they would pass the message to a manager and a month later I still have not received a call. The manager who sold me my membership was clearly not knowledgable and she also did not mention that the two free upgraded tans needed to be used within a month so one day before the month ended I was asked if I wanted to use an upgrade because they both expire tomorrow... Why did no one tell me this before. Basically an all around horrible experience unless Matt is working he's the only one who seems to know what's going on in that place. read more
