The Main Issues: Shortened Service Time: I wasn't called back until 1:20 PM. Melody then left the room for over 5 minutes just for me to remove a robe. The massage ended at 1:44 PM, meaning I received less than 20 minutes of actual service. Lack of Effort: Despite being a full-body massage, she never touched my legs or feet. She simply left a towel over my head, as I was faced down saying she didn't want oil to get on me, which is why I was naked, I think she dint want to come in contact with my large curly hair as a black woman. Wasted Add-on: I paid an extra $25 for a special CBD oil add-on. However, the oil used on me smelled exactly like the standard oil used for my daughter's massage, which was included at no extra cost. It provided no additional benefit or effect, and when I asked her about it she said the CBD balm is better and feels like icy-hot for $15, never attempted to accommodate me in real time as I questioned the no effects feeling of the oil. Contrast in Service: My daughter was added to the schedule last minute and saw a different therapist (name similar to Meda). That therapist was wonderful--she took her time, provided a full-body massage including the feet, and focused on the requested areas. The spent the entire 30 minutes with her hands and elbows massaging and added hot towels to her service. Conclusion: Because of the poor quality and rushed nature of Melody's work, I chose not to leave the $20 tip I had originally prepared for her. Instead, I requested that the tip from my total charge be directed specifically to the other therapist for her excellent service. My daughter plan to return in a few weeks and want Meda again, I am nervous to even think about booking again at this time.

She used the nail drill. The procedure was uncomfortable because the drill burned a bit as it went through the polish. Aside from that, the pedicure appeared fine. She then did the manicure. The manicure looked ok, but there were some bubbles in the polish when it dried. It was a rush job because there was another customer waiting. She left me sitting at the dryer while she went to wirk on the next customer. Miss Donna removed the bubble with her fingers and painted the finger again. By the time I got home, (I live 7 minutes from the shop) the polish was smudged on some of my fingers and toes. I called Donna and she had me come back in so that it could be done over. The polish was removed from the fingers and toes that were smudged and then they were done again. The looked okay when I left. Over the next few days, the polish on my fingers started to lift near the cuticles and at the top of the nails and started getting caught in hair, clothes, etc and the polish peeled off. I have never had this happen as long as I have been getting my nails done. My sister, who was still waiting, asked what I picked, and Nina offered her the same menu. She chose the Deluxe as well. When her tech returned and Nina let her know about the upgrade, the tech visibly seemed annoyed. She tossed her tools down and adjusted her setup with clear frustration. It made both of us uncomfortable, and we almost rescheduled, but my sister had driven 45 minutes to come get her nails done. In the end, my sister liked her nails and the design, and she said the tech was nice overall, but that moment definitely affected the experience. I'm only removing one star because of that interaction, and I do wish the salon offered complimentary drinks like many others do. Lisset, the owner, was very nice to talk to and made me feel completely comfortable and was extremely responsive. Just from talking to these two, days before my appointment, I felt like it was going to be a good experience. When we arrived at our appointment time, we were greated by China and Eve, the contour artist, and they offered us zero proof wine and margaritas and of course water. I liked the wine more than I liked the margarita, because I have a sweet tooth and the white wine was moscato. From beginning to end, they walked us through everything, put smiles on our faces, and made us very comfortable.
