I was excited to try Palio's as we're still learning about Prosper and I'd been waiting to do a "pizza night" for a while. A nice-looking spot with good decor, there were no other customers (we ate an early dinner), but not one of the full complement of summer-job teens offered to bring a high chair, so I awkwardly tugged one over to the table with one arm while holding my 7-month-old son in my other. A table sat unbussed as we waited for our food. I got the impression that once you ordered at the counter, you were on your own. The prices are good, but in this case you get what you pay for. My buffalo chicken pizza was plunked on my table with a "Here ya go..." by a teen who didn't hang around to see if we needed anything. My wife's mediterranean salad was good and inexpensive. My pizza was the saltiest, most vinegary thing I think I've ever powered through. I could tell there was a good crispy, thin crust somewhere down there, but under the weight of all the ranch and toppings thrown on there, it quickly turned to salty mush. Maybe their other pizzas have better recipes, but I won't be back to find out. As the entire staff lounged at the tables in the dining area, we picked up our things to go. Not a single "Thank you" or "goodnight" as the door closed behind us. If you are a student on summer break looking to get paid for hanging out, Palio's is the gig for you. read more

Love the veggies pizza here. I like that you can BYOB. I hate the square cut pizza, so I always specify regular cut. More often than not, they always mess up, even after emphasizing the triangle cut preference. They always apologize and offer a new immediately, but I don't like to wait again, so I eat it. They do delivery, but they never get the cut right, so I stopped ordering delivery. read more

We started eating there right after the new owners took over. The food is great and well prepared. Portions are big and prices are reasonable. Ordered takeout tonight and ordered the Scorcher asked for pizza without corn and it came without chicken. Called to see if we could get another pizza with chicken or a refund and was told "No" that's how it was ordered. Seems like such an odd way to handle an incorrect order. We were willing to drive back up and get the corrected order, they could have even offered to deliver one, etc. The manager, Jacob, that we spoke to could have maybe made a different choice since this is actually the second time it has happened. Palio's has reverted to its old poor service. I tried to order a pizza by phone, but I kept getting a busy signal for 30 minutes. So I drove over and ordered one medium pizza to go, sat at a table near the front and waited. I saw the groups before and after me get their food, but mine still had not come up after 30 minutes. So I asked the teenagers (none of whom wore masks, hats/hairnets or social distanced during a pandemic!) where my order was. After significant confusion, they found it on top of the oven. Went here with my boyfriend the other day and it was pretty good! The staff was friendly and we had our pizzas out in no time. Went on a Saturday night and it wasn't too terribly packed. Their soda machine is pretty cool as well. I made my own pizza and it was pretty yummy! The bathroom was descent as well. I sent a message to Palio's on June 9th regarding an experience I had at the Prosper location. I received an automated E-mail on the 9th stating I would be contacted by the owner or manager shortly but, I heard from no one, no E-mail, no call. I then sent another response on the 14th and again on the 23rd of June. Still nothing.This is not very good customer service or response to an issue that occurred in one of your restaurants which I will detail again in hopes of getting a response. The issue occurred on the 9th of June as I mentioned above, when my wife and I had lunch at the Prosper location. We are not first time customers and have been to and recommended several of the Palio's locations and never had a bad experience. On this day, we came in, there were not many people there perhaps 1 or 2 other customers, but the restaurant was not very clean, floor was dirty,tables were not that good either. However, what was most disturbing was watching a person who was sleeping with his head on the table near the back of the restaurant near the soda machine. At first, I thought this was a customer and wondered why the staff didn't ask him to leave until we saw the 2 staff members that assisted us on our order go sit down at this table with this person. Then a 3rd person who looked like either a shift leader or perhaps a manager. We felt that not only was this extremely unprofessional but, given the condition on that day in the store, I would have thought perhaps cleaning it would have been a better thing to do or maybe better yet, sending that employee home who definitely appeared as if he partied a little too much the night before. We are just really disappointed in that one, we experienced that, something more expected at a McDonald's and more so at the lack of response from your organization on this. read more

I needed to be in Prosper one evening this week so we decided to stop for a bite. We Visited Palio's and found it to be okay. The service is wonderful and the food is good, although nothing spectacular. Certainly not authentic Italian cuisine, but not bad for the price. I enjoyed my Chicken Caesar salad, while hubby chowed on his Italian sub. There's a little section where they serve ice cream and the cafe has a cozy fireplace. Later we shared a cannoli which really wasn't all that good, it tasted as if it had been sitting around awhile and was a bit stale. You will be able to feed a family inexpensively. Of course, we've had better Italian food, but if you're looking for a quick meal and just happen to be in Prosper, it's a good place to visit, since you won't find too many choices there anyway. read more

Strike three! Tried this place twice before and service is again awful . Tonight full staff is here probably 8 or 9 employees and we are the only two people in the restaurant. My husbands order of pasta is done and sitting up on their counter. Seems the staff is too busy talking amongst themselves to bring it to our table. So I went and served it to him. It's one of the few local pizza options near our new place in Celina, and it's pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but it's good delivery. For me it boils down to the crust, which is a bit lacking in character and substance. Very thin and relatively tasteless/textureless - kinda like a water cracker. The toppings definitely help make up for some of that, though. They top it well with a variety of pretty flavorful options. read more

Poor Service, Slow Service. Ordered Pizza with Italian Sausage, after 15 minutes I asked what was taking so long? The guy says that they had to thaw out the sausage by placing it in the microwave, it was frozen. This is a PIZZA PLACE, were they not expecting anyone to order Italian sausage. What a bummer... ordered from here this weekend (pick up order) - they said food would be ready in 15-20 mins, I arrived at 25 minutes and still had to wait. Pizzas were all backed up in the oven (getting burned, I assume) and my chicken parm was just okay. Best pizza ever! I love their thin crust, the Grace's is my all time favorite. Pasta and dessert is also very good. They also have one of those fountain drink machines with a billion combinations and awesome decor. I come in there for lunch and dinner and have noticed the attitudes and behavior of the teenage boys working in this restaurant. Their language is highly inappropriate for what is supposed to be a family environment! The way they interact behind the counter with their coworkers is obnoxious, vulgar and not professional in the least bit. I will not be bringing my staff nor my family for quite a while because I do not wish to spend my money in a restaurant that condones this type of behavior. I highly recommend retraining of your staff or just clean house all together and hire kids that know how to behave in a professional restaurant environment. read more

We really like Palio's menu. But, it seems that ownership does not care about their customer service, once again, in Prosper. There are few choices in Prosper, and with Palio's being one of the "better" choices, we once again have to wrestle with a restaurant getting our order incorrect. There are a bunch of children running the restaurant. I have just realized that every single time I order a Sedona Salad, I must check it before I leave the location. And lo and behold it is usually missing the chicken. Or has the wrong dressing. Or has different ingredients. Or whatever...it's wrong every time. Tonight, 45 minutes prior to closing, we were told there were no more deliveries. Weird, so we said, fine we will pick it up. I went to pick up two pastas, only to realize both orders were totally wrong. Moral of the story: there are either too many children/14 years olds running this restaurant to give a shit; or ownership thinks they have a golden ticket because they have one of the only locations in Prosper thus far. Get ready to be overrun and lose your business within the next year of growth. Look at the Sonic of Prosper reviews. These MIGHT AS WELL be the same owners. read more

We used to love this place, but lately the quality has really been slacking. Ordered a small Hawaiian Sunrise pizza, usually my favorite, and it was soggy. I like thin, cracker crisp crust and theirs used to be like that. Not anymore. The last few times we've ordered, it took an hour to get our food, and the food wasn't even warm. I am very frustrated with Palio's. I used to order from the Palio's in Prosper all the time. They must have changed owners. I ordered a pizza and mozzarella sticks last night. The wait time said 90 mins and I was ok with that assuming the pizza and mozzarella sticks would be fresh and warm. I ordered at 6:45pm and received it at 8:27. When I receive them, they were not fresh and both were cold. On top of that, there was no sauce with the mozzarella sticks. I thought I would receive a survey, these days you receive a survey for everything. I didn't receive one so I called today. The manager hardly spoke english and couldn't understand me as well. He wanted to argue with me. He said he would go ahead and make me another pizza if I could pick it up. Well, I don't really want the pizza tonight, I wanted it last night. And, going out to pick up a pizza I don't want really didn't seem like something I wanted to do. If I was going to go pick it up, I would order from The Gin. He wouldn't deliver it because he has to pay his delivery boys. Anyway, horrible pizza, mozzarella sticks, and customer service. He refused to give me any kind of refund or credit. This place is horrible. We were super excited to see pizza in town and gave it a try and I can not tell you how long we WAITED For our food, even for a waiter when we first got there!!!!!!! I'm not one to get upset (I hate when people make a scene) BUT I wanted to leave as soon as our wait became 45 minutes for our food. We had absolutely nothing on our table for the longest time and you could VISUALLY see everyone else around us incredibly upset for how long everything was taking. Will someone open a pizza place that has competent people who can speak clearly and not like a Valley Girl on speed? This pizza is marginal by far, and refuse to deliver past Artesia (despite that their website says they deliver in Prosper). We sure miss pizza places in Austin, TX. I think I will save my money and my disappointment in talking to a Valley Girl and eat DiGiorno's or Red Baron. This is a great business opportunity! read more
