The bar tender was our server and was right there bringing us water and taking our order. They have a few tables in the bar area which was nice and a dining area upstairs and down stairs. The food menus looked good but we were not ready to eat just yet. It was a nice pit stop and the best experience from all the bars we visited. Be sure to visit Provender Hall when you are in the Stockyards.

What I really liked about it was - it was not over-breaded and it was fork-tender. (in my humble opinion, too many places are giving you a lot more breading that doesn't have meat under it. Yes, it's a first-world problem.) The mashed potatoes were also quite good, along with the cream gravy. I'm not a huge green bean fan, but my wife really liked them. This place has a cool vibe and we plan to return sometime soon. It's one of the top 3 CFS's we've had in Fort Worth / mid-cities.

The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.

But Yelp is rarely wrong so off I go. I showed up and ordered from a small kitchen woo. Menu was on a board. I got a single patty chz burger w/ crispy FFs. Order showed up a few minutes later. This burger was one of the best I've ever had. And I've had Margie's in Bryan and this one is right there. Juicy patty, grilled onions, melting cheese, a little salt n pepper. Oh so good.
