This little shop wasn't hard to find at all, that was a plus. When visiting eateries in Fort Worth, that's something I think about. I had no idea they were there, actually, I had no idea many of those shops were in that area. When I walked in, did I picture a cute little ice cream shop that I'd want to sit in and talk the evening away, no. It was slightly busy and I'm not too fond of having conversations, while people are constantly walking in and out. It would be nice if they had outside seating, as the weather starts to cool, it would make for a very nice evening. I chose the Mint Oreo Milkshake, it was very delicious. So, very delicious! Would I visit again, probably not. Wow, this was such a fun twist on ice cream. Creamistry is tucked away in a shopping center that has plenty of restaurants to try nearby. I had seen this place before, but I never took the opportunity to go inside. The girls behind the counter were so sweet and made my ice cream very quickly. A perfect summer treat thanks to Creamisty! I had been eyeing this particular stop when coming to this side of town when Lola's was still not to far away, and stopping at neighboring places in the shopping center. Staff was outstandingly helpful during my visit. If you have kids in tow they will love the smoke coming off of the machine when making the ice cream. I visited today for Yelp Elite week, with my girls, to try them out. I don't often eat ice cream, so I was pleased to see that they offer sorbet. One of my daughters has a lot of diet restrictions, so we were very happy to find that they offered two Vegan bases of ice cream (oat and coconut). I got the pineapple whip, it was super creamy and very delicious. The girls got a Taro Oat ice cream and a mint and chocolate coconut ice cream. Everything was excellent! What a quick and fun experience! Creamistry makes ice cream by using nitrogen! A fun way to show your little ones a science experiment right in front of their eyes! They have all sorts of signature creations or you can do your own mixture that you choose yourself! Went back for another visit with my wife and daughter, I wanted them to try this concept of ice cream and see how it was made. I had the Quantum Coffee this time and it was good. The Smores cup was really good too, they even take the time to manually char the marshmallows with a hand torch, that was a cool affect. There weren't any customers when we first walked in, but it worked out because there were so many options to choose from that we didn't feel rushed reading through the menu. The shop's cleanliness (or lack of it) was concerning. Every time we go in there the tables and floors need cleaning. One employee was on their phone -- with gloves on -- then immediately started handling toppings. Newsflash: gloves don't magically become antibacterial shields just because you're wearing them. If you touch your phone (aka the germiest object we all own), those poop germs are now on our food. Yum? And while we're at it -- if you're working with food, please tie your hair back. Was out and about in Fort Worth and decided to go for a new ice cream place. We found Creamistry and we were intrigued. Big variety of flavors and toppings on the menu to choose from. It wasn't very busy when we arrived, there was 1 group in front of us and they already ordered. We were a group of 3 and ordered 3 things. There aren't very many tables in here and of those, only one was clean. The other 4 or 5 tables were covered in sticky icecream remnants. After waiting an unusually amount of time, we realized we never heard our name and a different group of people took our order. We only realized this because one of the people in the other group realized they didn't get coffee icecream after taking a bite and gave it back to the girls working the counter. The girl at the counter then proceeded to try and hand it to me and said they didn't touch it. I asked them to remake it as I was not comfortable accepting food items that have been handled by a group of strangers. The chemistry theme is cute, but it's easily looked past when you realize a scoop of icecream is $6+. On top of that, they gave someone in my group one of the most burned waffle cones I have ever seen. Skip this place and go find a local Fort Worth ice cream shop. My go to is called "Melt". I came in on a Saturday night around 9pm and this place was packed! There was a line stretching to almost out the door. The seating area is small and you could tell that there was definitely not enough tables for the amount of customers in line. Luckily, a couple left right as we had finished placing our order so our group was able to find a table. I noticed that alot of people got their ice cream and had to take it to go; in the spring/summer when the weather is warmer, it would be perfectly fine to sit outside or to walk around, however, on a night that is kind of cooler (such as the night that we went) that would not be an option. The concept of hand-crafted ice cream made from liquid nitrogen is cool but it is definitely not worth the price that we paid for it. My husband and I shared the affogato with vanilla bean ice cream and our friends got the regular size cookies and creme ice cream. The affogato was a whopping $7.45 and was very small- definitely not big enough for two people to share. It did not look like the advertisement picture at all. I did thoroughly enjoy the coffee that they used; it was strong, rich, and aromatic. The vanilla bean ice cream was delicious but not overwhelming rich and sweet which I like. I did have a bite of my friend's cookies and creme ice cream and it was also delicious. At $5.95, I thought this was pricey. Keep in mind, this price did not include any toppings- if you want toppings, it is an extra $1 per topping. Overall the taste is there but I think the prices make it hard to convince me to come back. I really enjoyed the consistency of the ice cream- hard to explain but it was not as thick and hard as ice cream that I have had at the average ice cream joint. This would be a cool place to take out-of-town guests if they are new to the concept of liquid nitrogen ice cream (although these joints are quickly popping up across the country these days). You can watch them make the ice cream while waiting in line and the visible fog that forms makes for a cool show, especially for the kids! It would also be a good choice if you have certain dietary restrictions as they offer 4 different bases (non-dairy and vegan options available) with which the ice cream can be made from.
