At one point, when they first opened, I thought they were pretty good. The customer service is always great on the few and far visits that I have returned recently. The food is not terrible, but the quality is not always great. It's like if you just cared a little more and delivered food to the table while the temperature of the food was still warm, it would actually be better. This particular lunch visit, I ordered the catfish nuggets. They were just okay, and for the price, there's no alignment. I would not order those again if I returned. I ordered the chicken sandwich. My chicken breast was fried until the breading was black. It looked like the grease they were frying in was old, or they left the chicken in too long. The replacement they returned was so small it would have been a chicken tender. Its breading also reflected that the grease was old; however, they didn't burn it that time. I just accepted it to move on with lunch. The fries are good as well as the bacon jam. I hope they are able to turn it around and early start to care about what they are serving.

Nicely located off I-20 interstate in a shopping plaza with other businesses. Lots of parking and handicapped parking available, no stairs to climb. The building looked new and nicely decorated inside, greeting area/ check in, the hall was a pretty large event area, it also had a concession area with a stage. I attended the Carolina Hair Expo, the event was small but enough for about approx 20 vendors maybe. The event was really nice for this area, it still kinda new, Im sure yrs to come it will be more vendors. I did purchase a few items for my hair and some jewelry. I would recommend using this venue if I needed a one in the future.

The venue itself is clean, beautiful and very spacious. It has that rustic/chic vibe, you can incorporate any decoration or design in this space. I would be remised if I didn't mentioned the owner, April and the manager, Teresa. They were very instrumental in making my day a very successful, and memorable one! Both Teresa, and April were always accessible and very personable. I will upload pictures very soon. I highly recommend this venue for any event that you are planning in the near future.

Since we were in the Columbia area, we had to come back! The service here is top-notch, and ALL high end restaurants should take note. Servers and managers are always standing around in the hallway practically waiting to help you, are there to start conversation and make you enjoy your experience. Our waitress constantly came around to check on us. Great work! In Charleston, we got the prime rib and loved it. So, as a result, we got the prime rib again AND loved it again! It was just like how we remembered it; tender and great flavor. Their sides come in large portions (shareable). They do have great mac-and-cheese. It kind of gives us like a Spanish vibe, probably because it consists of a certain spice or Jalapeños (my guess), but that does not make it spicy! All it does is adds complexity to the flavor. For dessert, we shared the cookie skillet. It comes with ice cream on top with chocolate syrup and caramel on the side. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.. that's how we like it!! I highly recommend you give Halls Chophouse a try. You will not be disappointed!

We were greeted pretty quickly by our server, who did a steak presentation of the different cuts of steak, and then we placed our drink and appetizer orders. We got calamari as our appetizer, and we also got bread, which was complimentary. The calamari was good with what I believe was a sweet asian sauce drizzled on top. My husband and I split a Caesar salad; additionally, I got the scallops (which came with risotto) and my husband got the rack of lamb. My scallops were perfectly cooked, sweet, juicy, and nice and plump. The risotto was so disappointing; I didn't like it at all and only ate a few bites. My husband said his rack of lamb was fine, but nothing to write home about. We got some sides for the table, which included asparagus with hollandaise, collard greens, and the pepper jack creamed corn skillet - the creamed corn was bomb, it was so yummy and flavorful, the collard greens were also quite good, the asparagus on the other hand seemed to have no flavor. We ended the dinner with the bread pudding and I was unimpressed; my parents said usually it's much better, so perhaps it was an off day. Throughout our late lunch/early dinner there were gnats in the dining room we were in, which was super annoying. All in all, it was fine, but not great and certainly not worth the price.

Not sure about the music selection, as we dove right into scanning the menu and enjoying the options. We had the Japanese fried chicken (3.5/6) and the Prosciutto Wrapped Fontina (6/6) would definitely order again as it was delicious. We selected the butchers board (6/6) with asparagus & bacon mac and cheese for our sides - medium rare of course. The spread was delicious. We had a mule and a blueberry spritz to accompany the meal. We started with the deviled eggs which seemed like they didn't even try to add flavor. Only one person in the group ordered steak which was not cooked to the order, and was completely unevenly prepared. Two people in the group ordered the burger which were ordered as medium and came overly well done. The prices are the only high end items on the menu. I have no problem paying for a decent meal, however the Chophouse of Chapin needs to address the food quality. I would advise to go elsewhere for your dinner plans.

The cocktails are AMAZING -- seriously some of the most unique and delicious drinks in the area. They're creative, flavorful, and beautifully made. Nikki, the bartender, is an absolute gem. She is so kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful when I'm feeling indecisive. I can tell her what flavors I'm in the mood for, and she'll make something off-menu that ends up being perfect every time. The fact that she remembers me and my boyfriend even though we've only been 3 or 4 times says so much about the level of care and attention she gives her guests. The food is pretty good overall, but for us it doesn't quite match the price point. That said, we happily sit at the bar because the drinks and service make it completely worth it. If you're going, grab a seat at the bar and let Nikki take care of you -- you won't regret it!
