When I pulled into the…read moreparking lot I did laugh that it was not glamorous- it looked like a location for a sports bar! Instead, you found a family friendly, casual atmosphere with phenomenal food. The cut their own beef, they pick the best ingredients. The owner was working tonight and just running a tight ship. You can always tell when a business is a team, when the employees are happy. And that natural trickle down feeds the consumer. So, I was dining solo and sat at the bar. I had a lovely chat with a man next to me. Jen was my server/bartender and on top of everything! Lovely young woman for sure. And Jeff took the time to talk to us about how they are different. I really appreciated that his restaurant is approachable. I'm not even sure if that's the right word- it is fine dining food, without the financial or social glam required at other establishments. I mean- family friendly is literal. He has built a business to cater to everyone, anyone. Food- I was so impressed by everything. I ordered the filet and my sides were mac-n-cheese and mushrooms. OH MYYYYYY- Steak cooked medium rare and perfect juicy, flavorful. The mushrooms simply stunned me- I had to ask why there was a sweet taste... teriyaki sauce! I knew I tasted something sweet- it made them so extra and I already love mushrooms. The mac- it looked dry on top, it was just the baked cheese layer, under was the perfect gooey, creamy cheese your soul craves. OH- and btw, the sides were huge! I felt like I could have shared with several people. Wow wow. So much food. Reasonable prices. I had a Filet dinner, 2 amazing sides and a cocktail- $50. For that caliber of food, that is very reasonable. Tomorrow is prime rib night and I sooooooooo want to go back again! Thank you for a fabulous night- I was celebrating and your business made my day even better!

Very personable owner Jeff welcomes guests and remembered us from last time. Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, filet was prepared perfectly, the sautéed mushrooms and loaded mashed are incredible! We will be going back again. VERY MUCH WORTH THE VISIT!

I ordered the steak tips medium rare and they were cooked well done. The mushroom gravy on the side helped me eat them as they were dried out and a little tuff. By the time the server got back around to check on us I had eaten almost half of them. She offered to remake them, but we both were finished eating. The salmon was good. I wouldn't say I would come back but I'm not saying the food isn't good. Mine was just not cooked as I ordered it so I didn't enjoy the meal. Inside is very small. We were seated on the covered patio. The weather was nice . The server was very friendly . She just didn't come check on us until she came to see if we wanted dessert.

A nice surprise since it was Friday night dinner time. We sat in the patio section which was completely covered and cozy with the gas heaters (1/23). First a nice salad and bread. We both ordered a Ribeye and Loaded Baked Potato. The salad was standard and well dressed. The steak was cooked exactly as we ordered, medium, and well seasoned. Loaded baked potato was perfectly soft and had that great skin. We really enjoyed and appreciated this local steakhouse. We can see why there was a full house and people waiting as we left. Phil's was a nice find.

The Australian Wagyu filet mignon (see my pick) is top notch. Cook to order (medium) and soft and delicious. The Australian Wagyu tasting it is very good as well!! They have a valet system, so no worries about parking. Staff have been very professional and friendly, so 5/5 stars for that. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, medium rare. Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly! It came with asparagus and mashed potatoes covered in a crispy layer of batter, which all complimented the steak well. I tried their tuna tartare, which had an interesting take on what the tuna was served on. I've always been used to tuna tartare being accommodated with bread, but this was sushi rice compacted and covered in some light batter. Felt like I was eating tuna sushi. Apply some of the sauces it comes with and seriously was fantastic. I also got to try 4oz of their Japanese A5 Wagyu. Super expensive; $80 dollars for four ounces, but worth the experience. You cook the thin pieces over a hot stone and apply some of the seasonings like salt it comes with. I cooked each side for about 30 seconds, sprinkled some salt, and it melted in my mouth! I ended my meal with their carrot cake and it was moist, not overly sweet, and had a great savory taste. I really enjoyed my time here and certainly will be back again. There is a bar and at the back of the restaurant, you can see the baseball field. Restrooms were clean, but only one stall from what I've seen in the men's room. Overall 5/5 steak house experience.

Not sure about the music selection, as we dove right into scanning the menu and enjoying the options. We had the Japanese fried chicken (3.5/6) and the Prosciutto Wrapped Fontina (6/6) would definitely order again as it was delicious. We selected the butchers board (6/6) with asparagus & bacon mac and cheese for our sides - medium rare of course. The spread was delicious. We had a mule and a blueberry spritz to accompany the meal. As the sun set, the locations lights seemed to dim as well, ramping up the intimate feel. Server checked in multiple times (her name is Victoria Batte). Ordered crème brûlée for dessert and left stuffed.
