I had multiple quotes from all the main Generator companies in Houston to install a whole home standby generator, including: Generator Supercenter, A&A Genpro, Generator Power Systems and Blaze Generators. Blaze was the least expensive and by far the best and most thorough quote I received. Outstanding value for money. Kevin was honest, completely transparent, and gave me the sense that he wanted what was best for my home and my family, rather than just making a quick sale. He got me installed within a week or two (other places wanted me to wait 2+ months), and the crew he sent was first class. One nice thing about Blaze is that they do not contract out their installation work. They have five full-time crews that have all worked for them for years. They left my house and yard looking better than when they arrived! Everything was put back perfectly, which is pretty amazing when you consider the amount of work involved in installing a generator like this. I would never, under any circumstances, do business with Rikman Services for Professional Services…read more After providing adequate installation of a Generac Generator, the owner convinced me to take his special financing deal which he said was interest free. It turns out Rikman is selling a scam package along with Generac and Synchrony Bank where they do this bait and switch. They do tricks with payment timings (so you never see a true balance before it is time to make the next payment,) and fine print, and instead of providing interest free payments, they flip a switch. We found out today Rikman together with Generac and Synchrony Bank have collectively charged us more than twice the installation cost, even though we actually had the cash to pay for it in full at the time. The owner pushed us in this direction. They are all nothing short of con men and scam artists. Happy to show you my bills and the initial purchase.

We made the required deposit at the end of July and we were scheduled for installation on September 23, with the possibility of it being soon as they were going to start doing 2 installs a day starting the following week. When I called on August 19 to just confirm everything was still on schedule, or if they schedule was pushed up with the 2 installations starting, I was told by the PC she had not scheduled our installation yet! It was after reaching back out to our salesman that we were scheduled as we were told. I was repeatedly to asked provide documentation of the HOA approval and the survey plat, both had been previously email twice to the PC. We have been lied to, twice, regarding the inspection results, which I ended up calling the City of Conroe myself to find out why the inspections were failing since the PC told me she didn't know why and they don't get that information. The first inspection had not failed, as I was told, as the city confirmed the initial passed. The final failed because the trenches were not filled in as they should have been. The PC blamed the trenching subcontractors and said they were supposed to have filled them in the prior week. However, the first inspection would not have passed had this happened bc that would have been the week before the inspection. A project that should have taken 5 days per the PC provided timeline took over 2 weeks, our credit card was over charged when the $1000 down payment wasn't credited to the balance due. I'm told I'll get a check in the mail rather than crediting the $1000 and the 3% fee on this money they charge to use a credit card. As far as the credit card, I was told we couldn't use our Generac issued credit card because we didn't apply through their website, we applied directly through Generac. I called the card issuer and this was not the case and had to provide the steps on how to process the transaction to the PC. I'm still waiting on a call from the owner for a week and a half since my request to speak with him and I'm not confident at all the message was relayed due to the repeated discrepancies during this whole process with the Project Coordinator. The salesman was fantastic, the subcontractors were great, but if you decide to use this company make sure all communication is via email and to keep an accounting of all the financial transactions.
