I definitely enjoyed getting my Vietnamese meals from here, especially because it was one of the few places that was Halal. I loved their banh mi , but I especially loved their beef pho. I never physically went to the store, but I always did delivery; The pho would come to me fresh. I also liked their Vietnamese fried wings as well. I heard the owner is looking to find a new spot so if he's reading, I have a recommendation for them which is to come open in Jackson Heights as there is such a demand here for Halal Vietnamese cuisine!

The pho was decent and filling. The wings were average just seemed undercooked. Pro tip. If you want starters/apps, order them first. After you've finished, revisit the menu and order your main dish. Areas of improvement - don't bring out the main dish first and the appetizer next. It's senseless. There was a party of 11 that came in. The workers really catered to them and left the single diners to themselves but still expect a regulated tip. I had one napkin the entire time and no one ever came over to see if I needed anything. I came, I dined, I left. I won't be back. Also my pho was getting cold as I tried to navigate between the two. Inspire more, Yelp more!

They started us with some bread and marinara sauce and the sauce definitely opened up our appetite and had us anticipating of what's to come. Then the to-die-for appetizer came, the mushroom ricotta cheese thinging it's sooooooooooooooooooo freaking delicious!!!!! I can't explain it, you'll have to put that cheese on the baked bread, then eat it together with the mushrooms to experience what we experienced.... Soooo good!! And we also had a bowl of meatballs lol it was good~ but nothing to write home about. Now for the Pastas, I got their signature Fuzi folding noodles with veal sauce and my daughter got the rigatoni à la vodka. They were both great!!! Their pasta has great texture with a fantastic clean taste and the sauce were subtle, fragrant and delicious. Not heavy and sweet like some of those normal Italian restaurants, this is definitely an A tier restaurant hidden in a local community. I would come here at least once a week from now on. Our group was quite hungry as we had just walked maybe 14-16 or so miles, and I looked up the local spots around where we finished, and this lovely place popped up. We arrived pretty early for lunch, and there was already a handful of people here, but by the time we left, it was crowded. The inside has a nice design, almost reminding me of the old markets in Bangkok back when I was there. The female server we had was very friendly, giving recommendations to the people in our group who were less familiar with Thai food or helping them decide between dishes. I will note, though, that we were unaware of the lunch menu until post-meal, but that was fine with me as I left happily full. While I only had one dish and a bite of an appetizer, I would definitely go back here, and I wish it were closer, as I found this spot a gem among the many Thai spots. Someone else ordered the Curry Puffs for $10, with homemade puff pastry, ground chicken, potato, and onion with cucumber relish, as an appetizer. The dish arrived with three puffs, and I had a tiny bit of one of the parts as I wasn't sharing this dish. From the little I tasted, the puff was standard, but good, with a lightly spiced filling. The cucumber relish was slightly sweet as expected. The presentation was also nice, as there was a piece of watermelon radish as well as some sliced carrots. My main dish was the $16 Sukhothai Spicy Pork Noodle Soup with thin rice noodles, handmade pork meatballs, roasted pork, long beans, bean sprouts, peanuts, dried shrimp, and boiled egg. The dish arrived with a cracker with their logo on it, which was a fun touch, though it was soon dipped into the broth. The broth was slightly rich and quite porky as expected, and was mildly spicy. As per many other traditional Thai spots, though, they gave the usual mix of chilies and chili sauces, so soon, the spice was to my liking. The pork meatballs had a bit of bounce, and the roasted pork had good flavor. The rest of the vegetables and peanuts added a good crunch. The noodles were plentiful, and while I prefer egg noodles or thicker rice noodles found in other Thai soups, as they grab onto the broth better, they worked here. The rest of the people enjoyed their more generic dishes, ranging from green curries to Pad Thai to Pad Kee Mao/drunken noodles. I wish this place were closer, as I would definitely go back. The ratings are high, but justified.

Well, then for Mother's Day, my mom decided she wanted to try Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta out. And we loved it! Hot pot AND BBQ all in one? Yes please. There was a generous assortment of hot foods including garlic fried rice (so flavorful!), fried eggs, chicken nuggets and fries, tom yum soup, fried fish and shrimp, and chicken wings, among others. The main buffet area has a variety of veggies, fish and lobster balls, noodles, pork, seafood, chicken, and beef dishes, as well as a sauce and utensils bar. They have an amazing desserts section as well with shaved ice, smores, cake slices, and mango sticky rice (I believe this is seasonal). Service was fantastic as they kept coming by to refill our water, broth, and change out our grill. We were on the waitlist for an hour before getting a table, but it was well worth it (and I understand why there's always a line to get in here). We will definitely be returning!
