This salon came highly rated and the gel pedicure with Ava and Cindy my friend and I received were great however when it came time to check out that's where things fell apart. There was a 10% off 2 pedicures promotion advertised on their Facebook and when I inquired about it at check out the staff member condescendingly said he knew nothing about it. I then pulled up the advertisement on the salon Facebook page and his only response was "well I don't have Facebook". At this point it was the principle of the matter rather than the discount. Another staff member behind the desk finally convinced him to call the owner and confirm that the promotion was something they were running. He then applied the discount while continuing to grumble and act as if we were a bother. We paid partial cash and he then made a snide remark about making sure I knew to tip off the whole service rather than just the amount I was putting on my card. I never in my 15+ years of getting my nails done have ever been spoken to in that way. I get we all have bad days but his attitude alone ruined our experience. read more

When me and my granddaughter were almost done they finally started on my daughter. Then when I went to pay and said what happened they murmured disrespectful things under their breaths and were not very nice as I was trying to explain that was not okay. They stopped my daughter's pedicure and wiped off the nail polish that was there. The service was awful, the people were rude and i was fully charged for all of this. We will never go back again and highly HIGHLY recommend you do NOT go here! They don't even deserve 1 star read more

This place is truly an oasis! I just love to enjoy the full experience of my spa day. I like that they have so many nail techs available and that its is a big facility. Every time I show them how I want to do my nails, they always hit the mark. The only mishap I have ever had here is when I did my lashes. Not sure if I will do it again there because my eyes burned for quite some time afterward. I had to do my nails with my eyes closed the entire time. read more

This is the first time I ever came to this salon and it will be the last. I got a mini mani and pedi and added gel to them both. That was an additional $20 to the service (which I guess is the standard now). After the pedi tech started I told her I changed my mind on the color and wanted to do my toes white. She said that will be an additional five dollars... on top of the 20. I said why is there a difference? It's the same polish just a different color and it was responded to five dollars more. So I said don't worry about it. I'm gonna keep my original color. I showed the nail tag my inspiration pic and said I would like to keep my nails square around, but I would like this design. She said OK and ended up filing my nails more into an almond shape. OK, no big deal I guess. But this is the final product in the pictures. The woman was very nice, but I felt like I was on an episode of nailed it. Before I even knew it, she was painting Pink over the white and at that point I was just over it. I'm now on my way to another salon to have this polish removed and redone. This cost me $120 today and that's not with the redo very frustrating read more

I've gone to almost every nail place in Lafayette, and Palace is my tried and true. My acrylics will consistently last for weeks. Also, I only do walk in, and I've always had service with little to no wait time. That's my biggest priority when finding a salon in Laffy, and it's hard to find. Technician was nice but upon checkout was charged $40 extra for gel nail polish, which was not disclosed as an upcharge nor was it labeled anything but the color name and number on the sample. Manager/reception whatever he is couldn't have cared less and now seeing other reviews it's not uncommon for them to add arbitrary ridiculous charges to beef the bill up. read more

Mary did my nails and was the best nail tech I've had in years. She was fun but more importantly detail oriented and did amazing at making me feel comfortable. Nancy was the tech on the side of her who also seemed amazing and made the environment fun too. I loved my nails so much. The nail polish I chose was the TAP in Electric Nights. (A glowing blue color) Fun fact: I wanted to add pictures because she said a previous client said that this color line did not glow for her but it definitely glows if you expose it to enough light! I asked for a honey pedicure. My girl rushed through whole thing not at all the 45 min. I payed for. Had an add on mor a hand massage and manicure which lasted a whole 15-20 min. When i got home looked at receit cause it was pretty pricey. They charged me for another pedicure that i didnt get. Samething with my sister in law, overcharged. Will not be going back. Had an appointment for my grandma and I - mani & pedi each , we weren't seen until 30 mins after time. I understand if the store is busy , but it still makes me wonder what the point of making an appointment is. Once we were seen, the man doing my toes was talking the entire time and scrubbed the heck out of my shin with some exfoliator not paying attention. A lady then began to do my nails , making me cross my arms and reach around. She then wouldn't paint my entire nail, I guess this is a new technique to make the nail look grown out so people get their nails done more frequently? It was all-in-all not a relaxing experience. Palace Nails is definitely my new nail salon! Convenient appointment system, large space, great techs. Do not be late to your appointment! Even by a few minutes. They are so busy even during the week you will lose your requested tech. I requested Bailey for my gel mani and Demi did my gel pedi. It's 5 extra to remove gel so keep that in mind. Gel mani was $35 and Palace Pedi was $37+$20 for gel +$8 for paraffin wax. It's around the same price i paid in Miami but Demi spent her time with my pedi and made sure all the callus and cuticle was removed. Bailey was also great, fast but made sure everything looked good. I drove over an hour because I heard yall do the best HOCO nails.... Boyyyy they were wrong, by the looks of the place your in a top tier place, My current nail salon was booked for hoco, and I was told that the palace is the place to go in Lafayette, but man to drive over an hour just for nails, (yes I know not yall fault). No problems getting in and no problems paying, but the nail tech visibly messed up on a few of her nails attempted to spot fix. I've always learned to trust the process because at my nail salon that would not have flown but those whole nails would have been stripped down and redone but instead she touched it up. I paid $82 for gel short (for a 8th grader) almond nails, that the paint is visibly screwed up underneath the clearcoat. For $82 I feel like that should have been actually corrected. It wasn't just on 1 nail but 2 on one hand a 1 on the other. I will never return here their prices are outrageous for the quality they put out, I expect top tier for $82 damn near $100 FOR NAILS THAT ARE MESSED UP. Being that it was my daughter 8th grade she did NOT say anything to keep the noise and disturbance down, but when spoke up about it the nail lady said "I fix it" it is indeed not fixed, but covered up and tried to make look right when it is actually not. I just moved here and, based on reviews and the website, decided to give Palace a try. It did not disappoint. When you look up the word efficient, there should be a pic of this establishment next to it. When you walk in, a staff member is there to take your temp, give you hand sanitizer and set you up for your service. There are SO MANY stations and technicians, there was not wait. They explain each step and move you to each part of the process. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. My only gripe was that my ombré style leaned more towards one color with a faint second color underneath, but it is still pretty and I am still happy. Worst experience I've ever had getting my nails done. The lady that did my fingernails had long sharp nails and she continuously used her thumb nail to push down my cuticles in a rough manner. I asked her to stop doing that several times and she continued. She also slipped with the nail file many times leaving little cuts on the side of nail beds. She never once apologized or even commented. I yelled stop after several times of these happening and at one point with no reaction from her. Then the lady that did my pedi with gel polish was finished in less than 10 min. I had to come home and file my own toenails because she left them long and the edges were sharp. I told the man at the counter about my experience (after my transaction so he couldn't say that I was trying to get out paying) and he never once looked at me or responded. Even with all the social distancing rules we still received the red carpet treatment. Beautiful facilities and they work quickly. I went here on a whim because they were the only place that didn't have a long waiting line. This was back in 2019. My friend and I got seated and not one word was spoken to us from our nail ladies, very odd. The entire atmosphere was very rushed, not relaxing at all. I got acrylic nails. The next day I noticed my fingertips started to peel and progressively got worse the following days. It was disgusting. I googled and you can become allergic to acrylic overtime so I went a year and a half without getting ANY thinking I formed an allergy! I recently just got an acrylic set for a special occasion and I had ZERO side effects. Now I'm curious on the quality of the products used or the techniques of the manicurist (avoiding acrylic contact with skin)? This was the only nail salon that I ever had a reaction like that from and I've got my nails done plenty. I will not be returning. read more

I am new to the area and have been trying to find a nail place. I previously had gone to Elite but didn't love my gel manicure. I figured I would give this place a try. First, the place is huge. Biggest nail salon I've ever seen. I'm from Philadelphia, there are salons on every corner, this one is a gem. Second, they have covid procedures in place to make you feel safe and the salon is efficient. Lastly, my nail tech Sandy was wonderful. She asked me how I liked my nails while she was doing them and fixed it if I didn't like it. She was personable as well. I would highly recommend this place! Went on Saturday and was over charged for basic dip nails on my natural nails with one tip and collagen pedi with gel $150 lmao. When I asked why I was charged that much for my nails and showed my nails 3-4 people all told me 4 different reasons: one said for cutting my cuticles Uhm no try again because I didnt do that, another said for french, nope I didnt get that either then the other said the length of my nails smh. The receptionist at the desk, the guy that's usually up there, is really rude. He treats people like they are scum, when we are all paying customers. I've been coming to Palace for years and have recently become so disappointed with the service. I got a DIP manicure and within 3 days they were chipping. I called and spoke with someone on the phone that said the brand I chose does chip a lot quicker than others and that I could get the messed up nails fixed. I then spoke to what I assume was the manager and was told that there's nothing they can do without completely recharging me. Poor customer service.
