Termite review We are in the Whittier area and had a problem with subterranean termites under our slab foundation. After calling a few pros, we decided to go with Pal Pro pest control because of their honesty and professionalism during inspection. As an engineer, I am very keen to know technical details and the inspector was able to respond to my questions with confidence and a deep understanding of the problems. The treatment that we got at the time involved injection of termite stuff (likely termidor) around perimeter of home into the soil. This involved some drilling and injecting in areas near the perimeter of the foundation. About 1 year after treatment we saw some new subterranean termite activity. We called pal pest pro and they came out under warranty and reassessed the situation. We did some spot treatment but had some discussions about how we thought the problem may be deeper than anticipated. We decided to remove some of our LVP to investigate and we discovered some massive termite activity in our original hardwood flooring that was below the vinyl planks. We decided to remove all of our hardwood flooring and get the areas treated. It was a painful process but our termite team really helped make the treatment part easier. It's been a few months and we haven't seen any new activity. Only time will tell but I feel like we got to the root of the problem! I would recommend this company to my family and friends. They care about solving the problems and will honor their warranty in the event of any future issues. I have been their customers for 5 years and over the past five years, I had no problem until now. At first, we scheduled quarterly service on 7/28, and we waited for whole day with our front doors unlocked. Unfortunately, no one showed up and when I called the next day, the receptionist just simply told me that she moved the day to 7/29 without my consent. On top of that, she didn't apologize at all. I don't feel valued by them and when I canceled their service, they didn't even try to save the customers. Very disappointed. read more

First time going through the yelp home project tab to find someone to do a spot treatment on termites. Got responses back from a few places but PAL was the first one which had an opening the following monday for inspection. Dax was knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had and took time to do so where a few other quotes from other companies either seemed hurried or inflated values. Ironically all the companies I got quotes from used the same product so I went with PAL Pro because they took the time to explain the process thoroughly and price was competitive. I was able to make a request with Dax to drill a few extra holes in the area based on other quotes without extra charge since it was centrally located in the same spot. Excellent service! I was freaking out because I thought we had termites on our new house which was supposed to go through termite mediation from the seller. We had been seeing some crickets around, but I had looked up their eggs on Google and couldn't find a match. I sent them to the Receptionist and they were able to identify that they were crickets. He was very professional, on time, very safe (came with gloves on and out booties on before entering), understanding patient and kind while listening to the reason why we called for one of my units, and very knowledgeable. We just moved into the area and after a few earwig and spider sightings inside our new home, I went onto Yelp to find a company to provide bimonthly pest control services. I messaged a few companies and PAL Pro were the quickest to respond, had great reviews and had a decent price point. I made an appointment a few days later and the tech arrived promptly and explained the process. I was worried about our dogs, but was told just to wait about an hour for the spray to dry and then It should be safe for me to let the pups out. The tech went through the property, removed the cobwebs and sprayed the perimeter of the whole property. I like that I'll get a reminder text when they'll be coming out, the bill is emailed so I can pay online and I don't have to be home for them to spray. Im so happy to have found Pal Pro. Decent service but price gouging so...no I had a skunk problem under my house. I had them come out and place a trap. I have no problem dealing with critters but I really didn't want to deal with a live skunk so I engaged PALProPest. They came out and wanted $100 to take a look. We got past that quickly since they said it was free in the initial Yelp conversation . I agreed to the $350 trap which was put out for a week. Unfortunately, the trap failed. It was sprung a couple of times and some of the bait (catfood) was eaten but no skunk. After that, they gave me an estimate to repair 6 foundation screens. Two are damaged enough for a skunk to pass through. The others had smaller damage, enough for a mouse to enter. They wanted $395 to repair. In total, if I paid the $100 estimate, I would be at $845 to repair a few screens. That's OUTRAGEOUS! read more

Okay, I'm hard to impress with service, but am SUPER impressed when Josh responded with a CUSTOM message on Yelp THREE minutes after my Yelp inquiry. The next day, Chandelle contacted me early in the AM to set up an appointment time. My phone line wasn't working well, so she texted me more info immediately too. As promised, Andy called 20 minutes before getting to the house to meet my father. My father said Andy was super nice, and didn't try to upsell at all.
