I learned a lot more than when only interviewing one or two companies!! These people were not only kind, they were patient with all my questions and concerns when in person or email, etc. Shawn, Jennifer and David couldn't have been more professional yet also so kind that I felt as though they were friends coming to paint my house. Painting outdoors shows colors in different ways than indoors!! So selecting the right color was more difficult than expected. Another company almost cost TWICE as much but they offered more services than I needed, most of which was to make their company run easier for them, not the customers. Arclight prefers that everyone in their company is involved with more than one position to avoid the need for a big office or additional employees - they work very well as a team. This keeps the communication consistent as well as keeping the cost to the customers at an excellent value. They really care about the customers and have pride in their work. Choosing a color is not one of the things "included" regarding color advice, not in the way the more expensive company did, but more due to experience, they'll advise you about what looks best regarding the subtle differences in colors you want but once completed might not be what you thought it would be. I wanted my house to sort of look like the color of the lake nearby, not clash or match the neighbors, yet be distinctive without being too bold. Something grayish blue but I was led to a bluish gray which was PERFECT!!! I picked the colors, but Shawn gave much needed advice to have the right hue and saturation especially when it's outside!! This company is the ONLY one I'd recommend and the ONLY one I'll return to as needed. VERY professional yet VERY patient and KIND too. Nothing but good feelings about the company and the individuals.

Due to dry rot, this also required carpentry work. In just about a week, they replaced about 40-50 rotten boards, painted the deck wood and walls, did other cosmetic repairs, and ensured everything was moved back to where it was when they were done. Their communication was on point and they always showed up when they said they would. Matt goes beyond as well. He makes sure you're aware of all options on how what kind of finishes are possible and why any might be considered. He addressed structural issues caused by the original builders. He also approaches the project in a manner that ensures the rest of the house won't get damaged during the work (in this case, hoisting all the new and old wood off the roof via rope). The work started right on the arranged date, and the crew was extremely efficient. They pressure washed the entire house, even the vinyl siding that was not to be painted. The attention to detail was impressive, and care taken to tape and protect non-painted areas. They put in some long days to avoid weather issues! I was a bit of a skeptic with all the glowing reviews but figured, let give him a shot and like many other customers, I couldn't be happier with this decision. Gabriel stands by his work and goes above and beyond with customer service. For exterior house painting, his bid came in competitive and he indicated he would provide 2 coats of paint. As we walked around the house I was impressed by all the items he was calling out that they would take care of after pressure washing and for prep along with his attention to detail. When they showed up to do the work, I provided input on a few things just to make sure that it wouldn't be missed during prep and they always said sure, we'll take care of it without hesitation. Gabriel even helped me understand their process further and explained a few things to me, which I appreciated. During the final walk through, I already marked a handful of small things with tape (inevitably there will always be a few touchups and polishing touches needed) and Gabriel was quick to add more blue tape for items that he would fix.
