We got three bids for a three color paint job. Two of the bus were close the third unrealistic. We chose Morans based on their professionalism, detailed bid and the recommendations of a builder and a color specialist both of which we know and trust. The project was no small undertaking, it is a large two story house with a large separate garage and covered walkway. The overhangs are a full time three feet. Morans completed the project on time and within budget; the work is exceptional in quality and attention to detail. The crews were professional, courteous and cleaned up the site at the end of each day. We could not be more pleased! We will be having Morans ack to paint the entire interior this fall.

Interior home painting. The finished walls look fine and were completed timely. My biggest issue is…read morethat they got paint on so many other things: the natural wood trim, windows, window screens, doors, door knobs, etc. I spent several days after they left wiping up the stray paint before it dried. They also broke a wall sconce while trying to remove it. While it was an understandable accident and I'm not angry, I am annoyed that they pretended it was already broken. The service feels overpriced for all this.

He did a great job explaining his process and I can attest that his customer service and pride in workmanship was equally impressive. Great pricing, excellent customer service, and a beautiful finished exterior on our home cannot be beat! We will use Performance Painting again and recommend their services without any hesitation. Since I couldn't be home during the painting, I asked the crew to leave all receipts and empty paint buckets as proof. They sent me "receipt" stating 25 of 5 gallon buckets ordered -NOT PURCHASED. When I returned, only 4 out of 25 buckets were there--3 without labels and 1 with a label. This is suspicious. then I double check the receipt, the "receipt" was actually just an order form, not an invoice. When I asked again for proof of purchase, they couldn't provide it. I checked directly with the Sherwin-Williams store, and they confirmed there were no purchases made by the subcontractor from prime coat in the past month. It was bad experience as we took a while to pick the color and best product for my house. But prime coat cut corner to use low quality paints which we don't even know if it has any brand. On the same day when I wrote the review in google, there were 8 five star reviews added in 24 hours. You can make your own judgement.

After Armor Roofing remodeled the beam structure and installed skylights, Refined Painting patched the new interior two-beam sets with "mud" and paint to make each one of them appear like single white smooth textured beams. They also textured a portion of a wall that needed attention after a roof leak. They did a flawless job with multiple coats of priming, patching and painting the beams and returned a couple weeks latter to sand, "mud" and repaint a few small bubbles that arose in the curing process. The crew really is refined in their craft which goes way beyond painting. Jose, Luis, Julio and the entire crew are pros -- I want to say "artists" -- in drywall, texturing, reconstruction prep and painting.

We chose Refined Painting for our exterior because of all their five-star reviews, and…read moreunfortunately, it's a decision I will forever regret. The actual painting was good, and the crew was very nice. But they left our property covered in lead paint chips. We spent about three weeks cleaning up, and because we couldn't get all of the chips, we ultimately (by recommendation of the state) had to remove the top layer of soil from much of our yard, bring in new soil, and redo the landscaping in an effort to contain the contamination. When we first noticed the chips and contacted the owner, he said that his workers said they did follow protocol so he doesn't know how it could be so bad. Then he suggested we shouldn't be so upset because our property was probably already contaminated from previous paint jobs. They then offered to use a leaf blower to clean up the chips--which would have simply blown them into other parts of our property or our neighbors' yards. Afterward, I researched Washington's lead-paint requirements and found that there are specific training and certification requirements for work on homes built before 1978. My understanding is that the owner had completed the training, but Refined Painting as a company is not certified so the crew working on our home had not completed the training. This is so obvious now, given the outcome. I would also advise against using their carpenter if you need any work done on your house in preparation for painting. It was some of the worst carpentry work I have seen with wood not being properly aligned and bits reaffixed crookedly. Their project manager agreed that it looked terrible and said that they would fix it all but in the end only fixed some of the problems and just left the others and painted over it. Besides the pollution and the carpentry, the painting itself looked great, all the workers were very nice and Jose, the owner, is a great salesman (he could sell you your own shoe). But the way the lead paint was handled left us with a major cleanup and forever worried about the toxicity of our yard and our kids' exposure. Also the wonky carpentry work will need to be fixed. If you have a pre-1978 home and are prepping for painting, I would strongly recommend asking anyone bidding on your project for their lead based paint certification for their company and getting details about their lead-safe practices, containment, and cleanup guarantees. I wish for the sake of my children that we had.

I had such a wonderful experience with Painting America. They really did an amazing job…read more I had a color consultation with Pam to determine which colors to use. I found this really helpful and recommend it to anyone. Pam was very knowledgeable and taught me a lot about how paint looks completely different depending on the light. Again, highly recommended for anyone. Dave and Ross painted, and I don't think they could have done a better job. They are artisans with a LOT of expertise who made my condo look brand new. They are everything you want in a painter. They showed up on time EVERY day, cleaned up after themselves, and were polite and professional. They respected the work hours set by my HOA. Ross even fixed my running toilet (at no charge), which I really appreciated. Before the painting, I had some old baseboard heaters replaced with wall heaters. As a result there were some areas with holes, old paint color, etc. Dave and Ross cleaned all that up. The wall heaters look great, and you can't tell there used to be baseboard heaters. They also fixed a ton of issues I had with my trim. The flooring company who installed it didn't do a great job of joining separate pieces. Painting America took the time to fix all the joins and make it look like a single solid piece. I took bids from 3 other companies besides Painting America, before I went with them. They were one of the higher bids, but they are well worth the money. I am so pleased with the results, and when I need painting in the future I won't look elsewhere. Thanks again Pam, Dave, and Ross!
