Sakura Cherry Blossom painting class with Richard the artist.
Irene B.

Lots of fun! A group of us decided to go after brunch we chose the Sakura Cherry blossom tree class. Richard (the artist teaching the class) was amazing and funny! The sangria was yummy and had our creative juices flowing. We had a blast! Something different to do in the city! We can't wait to sign up for the next one!

The guys at the front are super chill and the place looks like somebody's messy garage where all your complex emotions can just be purged out of your body and just stay there, and I'm really here for it. We were given safety hazmat style suits and helmets with a protective mesh and ear coverings which were really useful because things do tend to fly off the walls when they're being smashed and that's on my girl ~* PhYsiCs *~.... The staff was super accommodating and gave us multiple small and big items to smash in to pieces. The landline telephones were my favorite because they are rock solid and it's SO satisfying when they finally break. The whole experience was delightful. I think we may even have stayed way over our allotted time but nobody really seemed to care, as I said this place is just super chill and the type of environment you need to unleash all your pent up anger at the world. They even have speakers that you can pair your phone with as you smash things. 10/10 highly recommend this place and I will be back again when the itch to throw hands and fight the world comes back to me!!

The experience was beyond disappointing and honestly unacceptable. The staff was completely…read moreinattentive and offered little to no instruction or guidance from the moment we arrived. We were simply told that we could not throw the larger items, only the cups, and then left to figure everything else out on our own. To make matters worse, we paid extra for the "360 video experience," only to find out it was nothing more than our own phone being placed on their device -- something that was never properly explained beforehand. Charging customers extra for that is extremely misleading. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of care and professionalism from the two staff members working. After sitting around for an extended period with no communication, we literally had to go out and ask whether our session was even over. That level of disinterest and poor customer service was obvious the entire time. My family and I came here to celebrate a birthday, and instead we left frustrated and disappointed. Spending nearly $300 for this level of service was a complete waste of money. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone.

Skyscape is a really engaging and a well designed experience. Theres a lot to see and do, with interactive spy style missions that kept both me and my son entertained the entire time! My son was completely locked in the whole time and I was right there pretending I definitely understood the instructions on the first try. It's mostly a hands on experience, you're not just walking through exhibits, you're actually participating, solving challenges and learning as you go. Even better, it didn't feel crowded, which made it comfortable to move through at our own pace. We were able to go back and redo some of the exhibits we enjoyed, which made the experience even more fun the second (and third) time around. Overall, a great mix of entertainment and learning, especially for kids but enjoyable for adults too. 10/10. My son loved every second. I loved pretending I knew what was going on.

On weeknights, it's cheaper than the weekends, which made this experience more worth it at $27pp. Plus, you also save a couple dollars by purchasing your tickets beforehand online. We participated in the Spygames portion, which was worth doing. Once we got a wristband and setup an account, we got to start the games. They also offer free lockers (you'll want to remove any purses, bags, jackets, etc) as you'll be moving a lot. There's 10 rooms of a variety of games although some are similar or duplicates. You'll be very active jumping, climbing, and running around. The hour went by pretty quick but we were both sweating and exhausted by the end of it, so an hour is really all you need.

Those who like cooking will be thrilled with a night at Susi's home, but others who are happier socializing and eating (like myself) will be just as satisfied. As soon as we arrived Susi handed each of us a personalized apron (probably the only thing that I'll ever see Chef Andrea on), told us to tie our hair back (I appreciate a hairless kitchen) and directed us towards delish apps and wine. But the night got even better... We were split into groups and I was placed into the capable hands of Chef Charmaine. My group was in charge of the upside down strawberry cake. Yum- I hope there'd be batter testing involved!! Charmaine gave each of us a job (mine was to crack eggs). We chatted and drank wine while we baked so it was actually fun. I may have given her a slight heart attack when I dumped the vinegar into the batter way earlier than necessary, but for the most part Charmaine made sure the others would be able to enjoy our cake. By the time I was over cracking eggs, stirring batter (and yes, even taste testing) it was time to sit down for a 5 star meal of gazpacho, flatbread, salmon, quinoa and the cake. I wasn't a huge fan of the salmon, but it was probably just me because it quickly disappeared from everyone else's plates. Everything else was absolutely incredible. I love that Susi hosts these dinner parties right out of her cozy home and if I had a kitchen that gorgeous I may even consider cooking. Maybe.

While one group was cooking in the kitchen along side professional chefs the other group was being entertained in the dining area with some kitchen/cooking trivia which was loads of fun. The dining area is relatively small so I'm not certain what the capacity limit is for an event hosted by this company but my guess would be a cooking event by this company is probably limited to a group of about 50 at a time. Larger companies probably would have to break into two separate time slots (but of course only they can answer that question). The kitchen was very clean and we used quality pots, bowls and culinary products and it was apparent when you held the stuff. It truly was an amazing experience and the staff was patient and absolutely great. Heck we were even a tough crowd getting carried away during the entertainment portion. The staff probably wanted to hit us over the head with a couple frying pans but they were great sports! My only complaint from the event was that my company was cheap and didn't order beef, they opted instead for veggie options (Yuk!) but the food quality was great.

We had a great time, walked away with a ton of knowledge and ate a ton of our own homemade pizza creations! The class was compromised of all couples and one father/son duo - 8 pairs in total which was the perfect intimate class size. Shah was the main instructor who led the class - he was great - made everyone comfortable and explained things in ways we could all understand. The other 2 employees were super helpful and they all pitched in to make class run smoothly. The first two hours of the class we learned how to make the dough - each pair made enough dough for 4 pies. We also learned how to make a simple pizza sauce, tasted different types of cheese, and sampled a few pies we watched him make as he demonstrated the techniques. The second half of class we made our own pies. They had so many different toppings to choose from, and you could even make dessert pies! It was a lot of fun coming up with our own flavor combinations. Shaping the dough was a lot easier than expected after learning the techniques. We got full quickly so they had boxes to take home leftovers. We had a lot of fun! The 4 hours went by quicker than expected. They have alcohol and wine for purchase and free ice water. Tip: Make sure to eat something for breakfast since you don't actually start eating anything until more than halfway through the class. Definitely give this place a shot! Keep in mind though that you don't actually start sampling any slices until midway through the event. They do have wine and beers available for purchase with a complimentary ice water station to keep you hydrated. Shah was entertaining in his presentation, which kept the afternoon moving at a nice pace. Would highly recommend over and over again.

This isn't an intense cooking class, just in case you're wondering but it really can't be because it's designed as a fun group activity. Therefore, everything is prepped really well and with basic kitchen skills you and your team can prepare the food. I did learn a good onion dicing technique that I used the next day. In any event, our supervising chef was Ryan and he was great. Really energetic and helpful. There was plenty of work to do for all of us and the time went by quickly. When it came time to eat, we were all very hungry. I thought all the food was delicious. I was surprised at how generous the portions were, especially the dessert. Of course that didn't stop me from eating the whole thing. This was a really nice group activity and the staff there do a great job of getting things done so the program moves along without feeling rushed. Definitely recommend this for a corporate event.
