I was invited to a birthday party here for my sons classmate. I was not impressed with the overall set up, but then again, I guess it's meant to be a practical set up. I expected it to go along with it's name... when you enter there are regular plastic banquet tables with attached benches set up on either side of the room. Rows of shelves line the walls on all sides with plaster molds for ones selection, against equally uninspiring colored walls. A little cluttered console table makes for a counter tucked before another seperate-just as practical room. If your main focus is to paint molds and chat then its great. If you're seeking a bit more whimsy and atmospher you can creat the same scene offered at home with a few thoughtful purchases from Target or Amazon. Aside from the serviceable air, my kids enjoyed their selves at the party. The staff were nice and although my sons little projects were hardly glazed... the kids were happy. I went yesterday with my 3 kids the help wasn't helpful I had to get my own paint. Then they tell me they r too wet to take home so I went back the next day to pick up I called and asked her to bring them to the car she yells at me and tells me no I told her I have kids in the car she said we'll send them in I'm like they r 4 and 2 I should send them in? She was sooo nasty on the phone she finally brings them to the car 5 pcs in one bag well they all broke in the bag Worst experience ever read more

Terrible staff, been there twice and both times I got yelled at for doing absolutely nothing. My child tripped and the very rude older women that works there screams at me dont do it again like as if my child tripped on purpose. place itself is great , manager is terrible. did my kids bday there and didn't book a party for my second kid just because of the manager. as well as i had too run around and take care of somethings during my party not all went smooth. when we were leaving they didn't even say thank you and we left nice tips . read more

If I could give this place 0 (zero) stars I would but I guess it gets 1 because the project that we created with my daughter was actually kind of cute . There is some skinny weird guy that works there who is extremely rude! When I came in and asked him a question he barely looked up from his phone and gave me the vaguest answer then he said "you look confused, are you confused?" Lol now at this point I would have cursed him out and left but my daughter actually looked like she wanted to paint so I held myself back. Then the weird guy and the other manager proceeded to yell at all the kids (there was a private party there with a bunch of toddlers ) to not run and no touch anything and to just generally not move I guess. except they are kids and it's a KIDS birthday party so that's pretty much out. They kept yelling at the kids and one of them (weird skinny guy) even scolded my daughter for touching a shelf with all these little plastic shapes on it!!!! Bottom line is this place is catering to children but they treat kids and their parents like crap it's disgusting ! And the plaster shapes are overpriced, I would do a better job with paper Mashe and some paint ! They order cheap pizza and then rush ppl out to prepare for next party! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone especially with their kids! Do yourself a favor and go to plaster gallery which is on avenue u and east 13th only a few blocks away! read more

Went to a party here 3 weeks ago. The manager or whoever was in charge was extremely rude to the mother of the birthday girl, who was also visibly very pregnant. The two female workers in the party room with us were absolutely dreadful. Didn't provide us with plates or cups without us having to ask. Rushed the children when painting. Rushed us through the whole party really. When it came time for the kids to play little party games like freeze dance, they played 1 song and only froze it once which was pretty pointless to the children. When it was 30 minutes before the end of the party, they were telling us we needed to hurry up eating the pizza because they had a next party coming in an hour, which would give them 30 minutes to clean after our party but they were actually cleaning and setting up during our party which was completely ridiculous. I would NEVER go here again, I would NEVER recommend anyone to this place. I was very disappointed and felt bad for the birthday girls mom for having to spend money here. read more

So I had a party for my daughter here last weekend, the place itself was great but the rest of the service was horrendous. There was suppose to be two party host in which there was none, only the paint instructor. I think its ridiculous that you have to pay to rent the entire place if your having a large party costing an additional $200.00. The manager was all over the place and had no patience for the children. He was even helping himself to eat the children's pizza but denying my adult guest to have a slice. Then he helped himself to have some of the adults food.They inform you that they provide all these party goods which is totally untrue not like I needed their stuff. The guy was rude and mumbling things under his breath the entire time and to top it off he wanted to tell me how to run my daughters party. Finally the worst part was how he started cursing at my guest because the children had used chalk to draw in the front of the studio(WHICH IS A PAINT STUDIO & SUPPOSE TO BE KID FRIENDLY) He yelled to the top of his lungs "who the f**k is gonna pay this $500.00 fine' He was totally unprofessional and out of line. I would never visit this place again nor would I recommend it to another parent for a party or even a painting class. Their customer service skills and mannerism are disgusting and for that they don't get any stars. read more
