Graduation Celebration Party for my great granddaughter at Glen Terrance Caterers I am so pleased with service since the day last November 2023 when I inquired about having a event, Richard Jr was very hands on explaining every little details costs just professional as a businessman. June 27th 2024 day of party everything, from all the staff including the Valets was so professional and so respectful of all the guests that attended. The cocktail hours with Butler service passed appetizers to Fruit and Antipasto spread was delicious, then the guests entered the Empire Ballroom where the foods was delicious not one complaint guests was happy to have a doggie bag. Here's the Scoop: Attended a retirement party here. The hall has several rooms and the space is quite deceiving. Parking however is limited and very little street parking is available. Inside decor is familiar to catering halls. Service was good and food was very tasty. Food served all buffet style: Began with appetizers which were Buffalo wings, cheeses, veggies etc. The main course consisted if Penne al la Vodka, rice, stir fry veggies, chicken, rolls, salad. Sausage & peppers. The DJ did a great job with the music and everyone shook a tail feather. The party lasted for about 4 hours and it started about 8pm. It's a great place for an event, the only problem we encountered was parking. Metered spots were free after 7 pm. Keep this in mind. CVS is across the street but you'll be taking a chance parking there. read more

this place is a dump with terrible food and ambiance. the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and the "chapel" area where you get married in the basement is a depressing black hole where you can hear everything going on in the back rooms/kitchens. i have a piece of advice for the owners: put a sign on the door: CLOSED FOR RENO, order 7 dumpsters and park them right on Ave N, gut the place and bring it up to 2022, hire a new chef/cook. 1980 called and it wants the floor to ceiling mirrors back. avoid! read more

I am typically extremely satisfied with the food and service at Glen Terrace, from the sumptuous pre-dinner appetizer buffet, to the plated entrée, and Saturday, 2 November 2019 was no different. And of course with such a bounty of food, it is often a challenge to finish the entrée. In the past, carry-out containers were typically provided for guests to pack their own left-overs. That was not the case on the 2nd. Our server insisted on taking our plates in the rear and packaging the plates himself. When I got home I was horrified to see that the food packaged was NOT mine. In fact there was a large bone rolling around in the container. I was disgusted by the thought I had received someone else's half-eaten food, which also meant someone had my food. In my opinion, this is unhealthy and unsanitary. If there are restrictions on taking food, let the servers monitor the guests, or at least definitively verify with the guests that the packaged food received is indeed the proper container with the proper food. My main disappointment was not being able to finish the delicious roast chicken!!! There has to be a better solution for all involved. read more

We called on a Monday and we're set up by Wednesday for our event on Saturday. Richie was super attentive to what we wanted and the staff went above and beyond to make this event amazing. They dealt with all my demands (calling at 4pm and asking them to move our time up for one) and last minute changes so gracefully and i am just so thankful Space: We had the empire room which was huge. We had about 160 people and it was enough space to where it felt full but not crowded. The tables,linens and utensils were clean and they have an A health score which is a plus. Price: you can definitely find places that are a little cheaper but you won't get the gorgeous space, food, valet parking and attention to detail like we did here. The phrase "you get what you pay for" really holds true at GT. When talking money it didn't feel sketchy or scam like which is always a plus. Food: THE JERK CHICKEN WAS FIRE. They give you three menus to choose from if you're doing the buffet which is American food, Italian food and Caribbean food. Being from California there are not really any places that offer Caribbean food but Glen Terrace really know their market and had choices for us Haitians. I haven't been to Glen Terrace since 1997. I was a flower girl at my cousins' wedding. It hasn't changed a bit, LITERALLY! The outside is nice, looks like they did some work, modern. There is a parking lot across the street that's cool, but the inside was SCREAMING Mid 90s, very dated. I attended my fiancé's great-grandmother 95th birthday which I think the room was ok for the occasion, but a bit too gaudy for my taste. The food was ok somethings better than others. I liked the jerk chicken, oxtail, and fried fish nuggets. The staff was great. The hostess in the entrance of the venue helped out my Fiancé's sister when she got sick and the bartender refilled my drink without me asking. There are multiple party rooms so they can host I believe three events at once. Looks like it could get pretty hectic. Glen terrace has so much potential they just to realize it's 2019 not 1989. read more

Richie was my consultant, and he went over and beyond to accommodate and work with me with the planning. He is such a pleasant and respectful man, honest and sincere. I loved the fact that he wasn't making it about the money, it was about making me happy and working within my budget. The day of the wedding was well organized by the staff, very accommodating and excellent customer service! The drinks from two different carts were made using different brand mixers (Pina colada) - then the two bar cart men were running from one side of the room to the other to get supplies off each other's cart, making the lines get longer and longer. Since last year, I have been frequenting this venue for special occasions. I can say that I have seen all three rooms available for rent. So far it's been two galas, the anniversary of a nonprofit organization, and a retirement party. The interior design is nice, but there are so many mirrors and dim lighting. It's a photographer's nightmare. The food is pretty good actually. They offer Caribbean, American, and Italian cuisine. Parking across the street comes in handy since the site is located in a residential neighborhood, but reaches capacity fairly quickly so arrive early. I prefer the ladies' restroom on the ground floor in comparison to the facilities on the second floor. It's more spacious and has "a dressing room suite" in addition to the restroom. I'll admit that I was tempted to take pictures. It's just that elegant. read more

My sister and I selected Glen Terrace to host our Mom's Surprise 75th Birthday Extravaganza. We had the Patrician Room from 8PM-1AM. Since, it was a SURPRISE, our guests arrived earlier than 8PM. The personnel at Glen Terrace refused to let our guests in the room. Mind you, there was no prior event taking place in the room. So, our guests had to stand around in the lobby area until 8PM. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED on how our Mother's birthday cake was cut. They cut the cake in the kitchen in the back. DO NOT LET THEM CUT YOUR CAKE IN THE BACK!!!! The cake was a 3-tier cake. They were only supposed to cut the bottom tier, since it was the largest section. They gave our guests tiny slithers of cake. Mind you, all of our guests did not want cake. When we returned home, we only had the first tier, which was the top portion, and it DID NOT CONTAIN the edible sugar flowers!!!! If the top of the cake was not cut, why would one allegedly remove the edible sugar flowers??? The next day, my sister spoke with management expressing her disdain on the matter, and the manager was very nonchalant. Thus, we were EVEN MORE DISAPPOINTED with how Management handled the situation. We are still raving about the overall experience that they provided.During the initial planning and walkthrough they laid out every detail and cost to us with no fuss or pushed u to spend more .Everyone we came into contact with was nice and professional.The pricing is great and you get your money's worth. Wow the abundance of food and liquor was plentiful and the food tasted great. We didn't realized that it would be that much food because our guests themselves were in awe as it was in such abundance. Wow.These guys know how to do weddings- They were so detailed and prepped us from the start of how the wedding timeline and program should go and offered suggestions-they made us look so good to our guests. The decor needs a serious makeover and the silverware on the table was dirty and crusty. The bathroom was smelly and unclean. And I couldn't believe my eyes before the bride walked down the aisle the runner was taped to the floor with gray electrical tape Yikes! The bride and groom's wedding cake was cut but not served to their guests. The bride had to go into the office to complain about the guests not receiving cake.
