I was short 80 cents and was going to go to my car to get the 80 cents, but a wonderful staff member said she would take care of it. This Dr denied my prescription for my service dog because he said I was looking for a new clinic. Why in the world would I look for a new clinic until he denied me the prescription for my service dog. Yes, I said I would have to look for someone else if he refused to fill any medication for my service dog. I did have to take her to Mountain View Humane to get her spayed due to my disability and lack of income. I thought at one time Blacksburg Animal Clinic was the best! This is not the case after DR Watson bought the clinic. He actually spoke with me on the phone as well and was very hateful and domineering. I tried to explain and he said he would send my medical records to whoever I wanted, then blocked my number as I only had a few hours to choose a new vet. I then emailed him to try to explain because he wouldn't give me a chance to speak on the phone when he called back. I said I'd have no choice to report him to the state board and DCA. He just gave me a hateful answer and then proceeded to tell me to do as I see fit. It's like he doesn't care! Who wants a vet like this?

By the early afternoon one of the veterinarians rang me, and went onto express she had contracted an ear infection. He administered some medication, and explained I shouldn't have to worry moving forward. When I picked her up she was clearly feeling much better. Since the visit Millie has been just fine. Saying that was part of a dog's anatomy and not to worry. I felt relief after hearing this and waiting patiently over the next month hoping to see him gain weight, which never happened. Once I witnessed his puppy energy starting to decrease and appetite slowly fading, I setup an appointment at a different vet. During the week I had to wait before they could see him, he really went downhill, and died the very next day after that vet visit. The mass on his side was a cancerous tumor that grown so large it had taken up all the space in the lower part of his body. I felt something was not right the day I first saw that bulge on him. Took him to Riverside that same morning. Now I'm left to wonder, would he still be alive if the vet knew what a dog's anatomy should feel like. I feel that should be basic knowledge if you are a professional small animal vet. I trusted she knew what she was doing. and now my 1 and 1/2 year old puppy is dead. Im heartbroken.
