He also stated I'd have to go see another vet. This is all slandering and untrue. I was short 80 cents and was going to go to my car to get the 80 cents, but a wonderful staff member said she would take care of it. This Dr denied my prescription for my service dog because he said I was looking for a new clinic. Why in the world would I look for a new clinic until he denied me the prescription for my service dog. Yes, I said I would have to look for someone else if he refused to fill any medication for my service dog. I did have to take her to Mountain View Humane to get her spayed due to my disability and lack of income. I thought at one time Blacksburg Animal Clinic was the best! This is not the case after DR Watson bought the clinic. He actually spoke with me on the phone as well and was very hateful and domineering. I tried to explain and he said he would send my medical records to whoever I wanted, then blocked my number as I only had a few hours to choose a new vet. I then emailed him to try to explain because he wouldn't give me a chance to speak on the phone when he called back. I said I'd have no choice to report him to the state board and DCA. He just gave me a hateful answer and then proceeded to tell me to do as I see fit. It's like he doesn't care! Who wants a vet like this?

I called them up and fortunately they had a drop-off slot available. When I dropped Millie off the staff was very friendly and welcoming. By the early afternoon one of the veterinarians rang me, and went onto express she had contracted an ear infection. He administered some medication, and explained I shouldn't have to worry moving forward. When I picked her up she was clearly feeling much better. Since the visit Millie has been just fine. I'm most thankful for everything the folk at BAC did for her. They are officially Mill's vet! Thanks again y'all!

I brought my dog in to be evaluated for vomiting and clearly informed Dr. Matt McCormick that my…read moredog is reactive. I requested and placed a muzzle before the exam began. During the physical exam, instead of asking me to assist with restraint, which has worked well with other veterinarians, Dr. McCormick began pinning my dog firmly against the exam table in an attempt to control him. My dog became extremely distressed and ultimately urinated and defecated during the restraint. The level of force used felt excessive given that his anxiety and reactivity had been clearly communicated. I had to intervene and remove my dog from the situation. I understand that reactive dogs can be challenging to examine, but I expected a more collaborative and low-stress approach. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this clinic.

I was told to change her food and come back in two weeks. I went elsewhere and got a diagnosis of a serious disease which I had suspected all along. The new clinic listened to me and answered my questions. The correct tests were ordered, and I finally got treatment. The new clinic always provides written discharge notes. I had to call multiple times to get the test results from Companion. I felt like I was a bother - not a client. Dr Fabrizi there was the only one who did at least acknowledge the symptoms.

Immediately after starting treatment with Dr Lewter our dog felt and looked better, she was happy and had her old zest for life. Several more years of quality life we had with our dog . I make my own dog food and she has given me guidance. When our puppy got into trouble and burned her tongue, Dr Lewter treated our collie . No trauma. We all got on the floor with collie as she was given fluids and there was an ease and wellbeing .

So all of the talk of this being a great product, throw that out the window. I bought it through Chewy.com. They were of no help. Trying to locate "furminator," which is the brand name of their product, I could not find it with any rating entity!!! I then saw the name, simply put as furminator.com. To make a yelp complaint, I had to look further to see that they are listed as spectrum products. Even further research on the Yelp site did I find that it is actually listed as Tetra-Spectrum Brands. Are they hiding behind all of these layers? I think so. After all, there are only THREE reviews for them on Yelp. How can a company of this size only have THREE REVIEWS?!?!?!?!?!?

Saying that was part of a dog's anatomy and not to worry. I felt relief after hearing this and waiting patiently over the next month hoping to see him gain weight, which never happened. Once I witnessed his puppy energy starting to decrease and appetite slowly fading, I setup an appointment at a different vet. During the week I had to wait before they could see him, he really went downhill, and died the very next day after that vet visit. The mass on his side was a cancerous tumor that grown so large it had taken up all the space in the lower part of his body. I felt something was not right the day I first saw that bulge on him. Took him to Riverside that same morning. Now I'm left to wonder, would he still be alive if the vet knew what a dog's anatomy should feel like. I feel that should be basic knowledge if you are a professional small animal vet. I trusted she knew what she was doing. and now my 1 and 1/2 year old puppy is dead. Im heartbroken.
